Clean The World
July 1, 2014
Who dropped the soap? Our first arrival to the Clean the world warehouse led us to a miniorientation with a volunteer coordinator. After we learned about the reason behind the organization and its remarkable history, we separated into two small groups. Both groups were responsible for unwrapping different kinds of soap bars and separating the actual soap from the wrapper. At the end of the day, we managed to unwrap multiple boxes of soap bars and the organization was able to process a bunch of them the morning after. All the volunteers, including me, were more than satisfied to spare two hours of our time to provide soaps for many people without that kind of resource.

Kiwanis
July 5, 2014
Bacon For Everyone! The Kiwanis meeting was a very valuable experience. They discussed past and upcoming events including one event we will be attending called Check Your Seat in the Heat. We also had the opportunity to meet many members of the Green Valley Kiwanis and Circle K. We learned some new information and helpful tips from Kiwanis and faculty advisors that we can apply to the upcoming year. We also had the honor to congratulate Mr. Pecoraro on getting recognized at ICON as an Outstanding Kiwanis Advisor!

The Great Presentation Only after about two weeks after the last one, we were excited enough to attend another Kiwanis Meeting. We were lucky to greet and talk with other Kiwanis members, Circle K, and even another key club once again. The enthusiasm of the crowd was overwhelming when a guest speaker presented a future plan for the club. We were all handed packets as we listened and ate dinner. After the fairly extensive presentation, questions were asked concerning the plan. It was definitely a relaxing night to be spent in the comfort of Black Mountain Grill!

Panda Show
Pandas have feelings too!!
July 13, 2014
With its unimaginably incredible acrobatics and stunning, vibrant colors, the Panda! show was most definitely a sight to see. It was an exciting theatrical experience that followed a delightful story of a panda on a journey to save his beloved princess. The show included a countless number of jaw-dropping acts that certainly impressed the audience and begged for applause; the plot of the show was wonderfully executed through stunts, interesting background effects, and performers who put their all into the show while dressed in extravagant costumes. Seeing many pandas all at once certainly made me feel happy along with the large audience who attended the show on the same night. “Adorable” is the perfect word to describe the pandas running, jumping, and dancing across the stage. I and Jhonncarlos Lee undoubtedly enjoyed the show, and we would both like to send a thank you to Mr. Louie Cellona and Ms. Ang for providing the tickets to begin with. Going through the unforgiving traffic in the Las Vegas strip was certainly worth it. The show was a wonderful way to celebrate our remarkable Key Club’s success in fundraising for Mr. Cellona’s campaign.

July Division Council Meeting
July 15, 2014
Where the Sun Burns All three divisions of division 28 came together on July 15 at Desert Breeze Park for the first DCM of the summer. Clubs socialized amongst themselves and with others before taking a seat on the grass under the cloudy sky. Once the meeting began representatives of each club came forward and shared previous and future events. The LTGs caught us up with what’s new and shared important information with us. After the meeting, members were given an icebreaker that included groups of 16+ (likely strangers) entangled together. The objective of the game was to detangle ourselves and return in the same spot we were before. Before leaving, the clubs got together to take pictures and videos to congratulate Kiwanis Green Valley Club on their 25th anniversary of being a part of Key Club.
