Our three English Labradors are definitely part of our family and all have very different dispositions. I’ve been a dog lover for as long as I can remember and especially have a soft spot for Labs! There is just something about their happy, go-lucky, always-wagging behinds that I can’t help but love. Bentley is our oldest at 7 years old; he is the “perfect child” and does no wrong, ha! He is the king of the castle, we say. Both of his parents are therapy dogs, serving several hours a month at local hospitals. So, by nature, he is very gentle and obedient. He asks permission to swim or get up on the bed and minds very well.
Meet Gidney Pups: Finley, Cooper, and Bentley!
16 IBB AT HOME
Cooper, our middle “child,” is a little over 2 and, yes, is still all puppy. He is still learning and tries really hard to be good. He, as well, is black with handsome brown eyes that draw you in as he stares into your eyes begging for treats or walks, yet he is the least dominant of our pack. Finley, “Finn” for short, is our yellow, ninemonth-old, very stoic pup with a more serious demeanor. It is no secret that Finn is the boss of Cooper. Cooper is quite okay with this and goes with the flow. Finn definitely loves to snuggle, the closer the better. While all three are unique, they all are very sweet, eager to please, and love their momma! They don’t get too far out of my sight; they keep pretty close tabs on me. When working from home, they are the first to test out tiles/ wood samples or even fabric swatches. I find they aren’t too particular regarding colorha! But they do prefer the softer things in life and will settle in for a nice nap right on top of anything that is laid out on the floor as I play with schemes.
All the while, they keep me on my toes when it comes to knowing the ins and outs for fur babies and durability and performance fabrics. My household is a true test to many of the items I specify for clients on a daily basis, whether it be wood floors, paint finishes, or rugs and fabrics!

SKY BLUE
PANTONE® 14-431BTCX SKY BLUE Reminiscent of the daytime sky, this blue hue is known to promote tranquility and a sense of calm. It is the perfect color to use for a bedroom’s color palette, or it can be paired with a multitude of other colors and used throughout the home. We love it paired with a rich navy, an invigorating orange, or a fabulous fuchsia. Whether used as a main color in your design or as an accent, a bright sky blue evokes a fresh feeling in your interiors.

PRO TIP: Always sample the paint in your space before diving in and painting the entire room. Just because it looks fabulous in your friend’s home, doesn’t mean it will look equally as stunning in yours. There are many factors which influence how paint looks in a space. Are Pastels IN or OUT? BY MEGHAN SEBREN, IBB VISUAL MERCHANDISER meghan@ibbdesign.com | @meghansebren on Instagram
Springtime is usually the time of year when you see pastels make their annual debut, but pastels are not just seasonal and can find a home in any application. A pastel is a hue mixed with just enough white to soften its saturation, giving the new color a lighter, muted tone. They used to be common in children’s rooms but can find their place in any room of the house. Pastels are definitely in and will freshen up any space. Here are some tips to help bring out the best in pastels: • Pastels do not have to be used together. Create a striking color palette by using them with their darker companions. • Pastels are a great way to incorporate a color
you love that might not work with everything, such as pinks, yellows, or greens. • Use pastels in areas where you want to have a calming effect, such as in bedrooms and sitting areas. • Choose the right wood finishes to go with your soft color scheme. Natural tones and whites complement them best. • Invest in decorative pillows and throws that are two-toned and reversible. Several soft goods have a muted color on the back to allow for décor options. • Mix in gold or silver to give the pastels a sophisticated, more elegant look. • Pastels allow you to mix different patterns. Make sure to stay in the same color palette, though, so that it does not overpower the room.

ROOM REFRESH BY SHAY GEYER, IBB OWNER & DESIGNER shay@ibbdesign.com | @designershay on Instagram Renderings by Daniel M. Chavez
You might remember that both of our daughters asked for a room refresh last Christmas. I would love to give you a sneak peek into Jaylie’s new room design. We are not doing a full overhaul, but the changes we are making will make a significant impact and give her a sophisticated new look that fits her style. She requested a palette of bright aqua and navy with a “Gossip Girl” feel. We are painting her built-ins Sherwin-Williams Naval, and we will be re-covering her bed in a bright aqua velvet. We are shortening the height a bit and getting rid of the clipped corners to make a little more room for the neon sign with her nickname - “Jay Way.” New navy velvet
bedding will top her bed along with some decorative pillows. We will also be changing her drapery and switching out the rug. Instead of a bench at the end of her bed, I am having a small-scaled sofa made to create a sitting area across from her bed where she can relax, study, or hang out with friends. Above the sofa we will be framing some photos of her, printed on acrylic. Follow along on Instagram @designershay for progress updates on the transformation. We will be revealing both girls’ rooms this fall. We have many exciting giveaways planned, so stay tuned to our social media for those announcements and information on how you can enter to win.

imitates the look of a viscose hand-knot one, and paired with an iridescent performance velvet will start to pull a more contemporary vibe to juxtapose the more traditional print. While we did go more neutral, I also wanted to make sure I brought in some glam to make the space feel more elevated, while keeping everything family friendly. To take it one step further and bring a little richness and depth to the space, I added a beautiful teal silk dupioni drape and some throw pillows in teal and fuchsia.
Family-Friendly
Design
BY JORY GATTIS DICKINSON, IBB DESIGNER jory@ibbdesign.com | @jorya.gattis on Instagram Photo by Audrie Dollins
I have been working with a really fun young couple on creating a familyfriendly great room. The husband had fallen in love with a wild chinoiserie fabric I had used on a pair of chairs in a previous project. Being a fan of a more elegant and glam aesthetic, the wife was not “the biggest fan,” but she begrudgingly agreed to let me play with it to see what I could do! Since we knew we wanted our focal fabric on a chair, I found a great rug to anchor the space in a more natural sofa fabric. A 100% polyester rug
22 IBB AT HOME
To top everything off, we selected an amazing custom giclée that we are having produced in an extralarge size to really embrace the two-story ceiling in the room. A great black frame will make it pop off the neutral stone, and adding a glass coat finish will create dramatic light from the windows during the day and the smoke glass chandelier in the evenings. A jumping off point for a project does not always have to come from a piece of art or an amazing rug or a family antique. Inspiration just must come from something that speaks to you, for whatever rhyme or reason. If you follow your heart, it’s easy to create a space that you love!

POWDER
BATH
BY LAUREN MACNAK, IBB DESIGNER

When clients come to us with the idea of wanting some wow in their homes, the powder bath space provides a great opportunity to create a showstopping moment, whether they want bold or simple décor. If you want a subtle texture, bold color, or a fun pattern, there is a powder bath design for you. For my client, I decided that a mix of traditional and transitional with touch of whimsy would really bring the overall aesthetic of their home into a bold and cohesive space. Starting with the wallpaper, I wanted something fun and fresh, but with a traditional mix. Bringing in the birds and trees does just that, and with a soft color, it is bold but sophisticated. Adding a gorgeous vanity cabinet can truly create that wow factor and provide something unique for a space. Lighting is another factor to consider. By adding wall sconces, you can create both a well-illuminated face and a soft cast to the wallpaper. The addition of the ceilingmount lighting fixture gives the room a little glam. The accessories cannot be forgotten. A monogrammed hand towel and a well-placed floral can add a personal touch that softens a room. For me, the proverbial cherry on top in any design is something a little unexpected, and in this space, I went for the pop of red in the artwork to bring in a memorable touch. Powder baths are as unique as the clients we design them for, so step outside of the box and imagine a design that truly speaks to you since this is one room most of your guests will get to see and enjoy.

We had a blast creating this backyard resort for my clients Phil and Cathy Blais. For the palette, we used shades of blue-- from bright sky blue to cobalt-- and paired them with black and white. Classic style that makes them feel like they are escaping to a high-end resort in their very own backyard was our goal. Chaise lounges and striped umbrellas line the side of the pool and invite guests to come sit and relax.

DINING & LIVING AREAS Wrought iron chair frames were covered in a bright wave-patterned outdoor fabric that inspired our overall color palette. Having the table conveniently positioned between the home’s indoor and outdoor kitchens makes entertaining a breeze. The seating area by the fireplace is comprised of a cozy outdoor sofa and two swivel chairs. The space is grounded with a bold geometric outdoor rug.

POOL BATH & FRONT PORCH SWING Playing off traditional design elements, we incorporated penny round tiles into some of the bathrooms in the home. My clients thought it would be fun to spell something out using the penny rounds in their pool bath. “No Diving” was Phil’s idea and fit the space perfectly. The built-in storage and vanity cabinet were painted in Sherwin-Williams Naval, and pattern was brought in with the outdoor fabric used to make the bench cushion. Pendant lighting, a nautical inspired mirror, artwork, and shiplap give a beach vibe to the space. The wraparound front porch was the perfect place to incorporate a porch swing. From watching the kids play in the yard to lounging while reading a book, it is the ideal spot to unwind. Fabrics used in the backyard design were repeated on the swing to add pattern and color to the porch and give a cohesive feeling to their outdoor spaces.

HOME MAKEOVER BY HUNTINGTON REMODELING

This past year, IBB Design partnered with Huntington Remodeling to execute a whole-home remodel for the Magill family, who purchased their Tuscan-style home in Starwood back in 2016. The Magills loved their house and its location but knew from the beginning that there were some things they would want to renovate. “Our house was so outdated with a lot of wood accents and a yellowish paint color throughout the home,” Lisa Magill said. “We knew we wanted to make some changes but didn't know where to start.” Shortly after they bought the home, they attempted a renovation with a different company and unfortunately did not have the best experience or end result. “Most renovation companies expect the

customers to know what they want and do what they instruct, but we were looking for a company that could guide us through the latest design trends and the possibilities for our home.” In the fall of 2020, Lisa received a postcard in the mail from Huntington Remodeling. “As a realtor, I’m very familiar with Huntington Homes and have always been impressed with their architecture and design.” She was excited to discover that Huntington Homes (affiliated with Highland Homes) had a new remodeling division and decided to give another home remodel a shot, this time with a more reputable company. “One of the most important things I was looking for was a company that was professional with a long
POWDER BATH - AFTER history AND that could back up their work with quality materials and warranty. There are plenty of home renovation companies out there, but not enough to trust that they would come back to fix anything that didn't go right or ended up breaking after they left.” Initially, the Magills had discussed remodeling their kitchen and master bathroom, but after being so pleased by their custom renovation plans, they couldn’t resist updating the entire home. “Having a dedicated designer was an amazing experience because I needed someone to walk me through the designs I had in mind and then bring them to life. There were colors and designs I never would have thought of without the assistance of my Huntington Project Developer and IBB Designer,” she said. Once in the construction phase of the remodel, Lisa had peace of mind knowing that her Project Manager was at the house every day to supervise the work being done and with vendors in and out of the house.
KITCHEN - AFTER more than she expected. “I once called our home ‘the cave’ because it didn't have enough light, but now our house has so much natural light with a bright, BEFORE contemporary feel throughout,” Lisa said. “This renovation was everything we wanted in a new home… and we didn't even have to move! Money well-spent.”

BLUSH PINK BY OLIVIA HOOKS, IBB DESIGNER
olivia@ibbdesign.com | @liv_thedesigner on Instagram Photography by Audrie Dollins
When faced with the question “Is pink out?” my answer is… NEVER! Pink is a color that evokes a feeling of calm sophistication, especially when added in the right amount to a design. It is a timeless color that can be appropriate for any client. In this case, I created a living room design that I feel would work for a woman of any age. I was going
32 IBB AT HOME
for something that oozed the essence of elegance with a modern day feel--a design that felt fancy, yet comfortable, relaxed, and not stuffy. I started with a plush sofa with several pillows to make the atmosphere feel cozy and one that makes you want to cuddle up with a good book or this summer’s issue of IBB At Home Magazine. I then found inspiration in the art pieces; they were all fresh, modern, and a tad bit different. I fell in love with more than what I initially intended on using, so I went for a layered art look showcasing them all. The frame on each piece is what moved me to use mixed metals throughout the space. I love when items in a room look purposefully collected and not so matchymatchy. Everything should coordinate and look related but need not be from the same collection. Mixing metals can also help you achieve this look faster. Adding a variety of accessories was another must for me. You will notice that the ma jority of the primary pieces of the space are in fact not pink at all. They are a mix of neutral colors. All of the colors come from the accessories and the art. Design is forever evolving, and this allows for an easy refresh in the future. But who says you will need to, because pink is here to stay.

DESIGNER TIPS
Permanent Botanicals for the win! Photo by Audrie Dollins
BY KAREN HOLLOWAY, IBB DESIGNER karen@ibbdesign.com
Not a big fan of using silk or “faux” flowers and plants in your home décor? I cannot tell you how many times I have heard that statement in my design career, and I totally understood, because let’s just say, the arrangements and plants from yester-year were much better viewed from afar. Honestly, there is nothing that can add the finishing touch to a space like the color and texture of a beautiful floral or a beautiful green plant. However, most of us do not have the time, the skill, or the budget to keep replacing fresh flowers or live plants so that a designated area does not sit bare and sad looking for months on end. These is a solution to this dilemma! Available now are totally natural looking permanent botanicals with beautiful, vibrant colors and a real-to-the-touch feel. If you are tired of the treadmill of replacing fresh flowers and would like to see a better option, then please visit our showroom. I can introduce you to the new, perfectly natural look and feel of the botanicals at IBB, designed by our own Shay Geyer. When you take one of these beauties home, it will be like you waved a “magic wand” over that space.

BY SHAY GEYER, IBB OWNER & DESIGNER shay@ibbdesign.com | @designershay on Instagram Photography by Dan Piassick
We were so excited when long-time clients reached out to convert some extra attic space and have us design the ultimate hangout for their four children. We tied the design and color palette to the adjoining game room and powder bath. BUNK ROOM: Sleepovers are extra fun in this bunk room that sleeps five. We designed the twin-sized bunks with a trundle in one of the bottom beds. The custom bunks were built with an “X” design on the safety rail and stairs to easily access the top bunks. Each bunk has a sconce as well as an outlet complete with USB ports to make charging devices convenient. Each of the four kids picked an accent color that was used on a decorative pillow appliquéd with the first letter of their name to personalize their bunks. A built-in banquette joins the bunks and creates an ideal spot to play games, do crafts, or watch a movie.

A custom sectional offers ample seating for the kids and their friends. The family dog is also a big fan of it! Bright accent colors were dispersed throughout the room with pillows, throws, artwork, and a rug. Our Genesis fabric in Shay Blue was used to create a valance for the window and to add color and pattern to the space. A kitchenette makes grabbing a drink or making popcorn very convenient. Black cabinetry and a chevron-patterned backsplash complete the design.
Bold geometric wallpaper covers the vanity wall, and chalkboard paint was used above the wainscoting on the other three walls. The kids and their friends love to draw and write messages in there. It is a fun way to personalize the room.

OUTDOOR EVOLUTION BY KAY LEWIS, IBB DESIGNER
kay@ibbdesign.com | @mkaylewis on Instagram Photo by Dan Piassick
If you have been dreaming of a resortinspired outdoor living area with gorgeous, fully-upholstered furniture, a calming fire pit and a completely functional outdoor kitchen, then your time has come. Days of running inside to entertain have passed, and designer furnishings have evolved to function perfectly outdoors as a starting place for entertaining. Outdoor living is no longer an afterthought once you have completed the inside design. It has now become an extension of the indoor living areas with a wide selection of weatherproof, performance, and colorful fabrics. IBB Design has recently added new name-brand outdoor lines from top designers of exterior living furniture with sophisticated styles, gorgeous fabrics, and comfortable seating. We have also added additional beautiful performance fabrics by the yard to add new life to an existing furniture piece. You can have the resort look and calming feel right in your own backyard. There is no better therapy to escape from the challenges of the day than to sit on your patio and just relax and enjoy the moment. I have had the pleasure lately of working with some amazing clients who have completely transformed their outdoor living spaces using the newly evolved outdoor living furnishings. These can be enjoyed for years to come and are a truly wonderful way to bring the “inside” to the “outside” now more than ever.

DINING AL FRESCO There is nothing better than a summer night dining al fresco. Gone are the days of boring backyards. Today’s manufacturers offer a vast array of outdoor furnishings that blur the lines and stereotypes of what outdoor furniture should look like. Follow these tips to help take your outdoor dining to the next level. 1. Select the right outdoor dining table. Durability is key when making this decision, but style should also be a high priority. We love the cast concrete 60” round outdoor dining table. In a crisp white, this table adds a fresh take to an outdoor setting. We have even used it indoors as a breakfast nook table for clients. It also comes in a rectangle.
42 IBB AT HOME
2. Outdoor dining chairs are the perfect opportunity to add color, texture, and pattern to give your space a designer look. These navy and white woven chairs are a favorite among #teamIBB. With a style reminiscent of a French sidewalk cafe, they certainly make a chic statement. The added cushion also makes them extra comfy! 3. I love to frame a space with planters. You can add height by planting an evergreen tree or topiary in the center and bring in color with seasonal flowers. Planters come in vast array of sizes, colors, and styles and add beauty to your backyard.
WALLPAPER
& WINDOW TREATMENTS BY WILL SMITH, IBB DESIGNER
will@ibbdesign.com | @willtsmith on Instagram
I am a big believer in using unexpected materials to make an impact in your home, and in my opinion, wallpaper and drapes are the easiest way to make that big statement. Yes, I said wallpaper because it is back in a big way! There are so many interesting products on the market, from metallics to beads and embroidery to murals. Use wallpaper on an accent wall to draw attention to a certain area and bounce color or pattern around the room. Try it on the ceiling to draw your eye up, or even on the back of shelving to make your accessories pop. Be bold; be brave; trust your designer to make choices that you would not have thought of! We are trained to pull materials that complement each other and add interest to your room. Another simple way to add softness and balance to a space is by adding drapery. This is often the easiest solution to a room that doesn’t feel quite finished. If you have a room with a low ceiling, hanging your drapes close to the ceiling can make the room feel taller. Conversely, a room with tall ceilings might benefit from a drape that hangs a little lower to make you feel cozy. A variety of textures and accents can take a simple drapery panel to the next level. Your designer can help you find the perfect accent tape to bring in pattern and texture. You can even play around with your drapery rod selections for that “wow” moment. Acrylic rods are a glam option that won’t distract your eye from other interesting aspects of your home or will add a special sparkle up high. Consult with your IBB Designer to make the best choices for you. We are here to help take you to the next level!

I was excited to be referred by the home builder MonacoPinnacle Custom Homes. The client requested a very clean, comfortable, inviting space filled with minimal color, primarily neutral tones of whites and grays. I mixed the aged and brushed brasses and silvers to add some interest, while bringing in texture on fabrics, bedding, and the like. Pops of selenite, onyx, alabaster, geodes, and a few touches of organic wood pair well with the use of metals in this modern home.

The great room really needed two seating areas to cozy it up. They can enjoy the four swivels around the Carrera and brass cocktail table, as well as the pair of sofas facing each other with the versatile velvet ottomans. primary bath & closet The vast primary bath offers two separate vanities with lit mirrors and a comfortable vanity seat. The room is anchored by an indoor/ outdoor rug in a dark gray pattern to help break up sounds in the room and to bring warmth to the area. A marble and gold drink table rests next to the freestanding tub and is a perfect location for a bath candle or beverage. Drinks are easily made in the coffee bar that is strategically placed at the room’s entrance. The multi-level closet was designed as an open complement to the room, with back-lit shelves and storage behind floor-to-ceiling glass doors.

WHAT’S A GREAT

LIGHTING INSPIRED BY NATURE We have noticed many of our lighting vendors taking a cue from the beauty of nature for their collections. These sconces take a modern approach to a floral design. The metal leaf and glass petals make an elegant statement. With many styles, finishes, and sizes available, we love the idea of bringing the outdoors in with a fabulous sconce, chandelier, or pendant!

HAVE FUN WITH RUGS! Outdoor rugs are a good way to soften and add color to an outdoor space. Including a rug in your outdoor areas pulls a space together and adds a touch of personalization with a variety of patterns, abstracts, florals, or other designs. With summer starting, now is the perfect time to add some fun with an outdoor rug.

ADD VISUAL INTEREST WITH SEATING! To prepare for spending more time outdoors this summer, treat your outdoor space as an extension of your home. Select furnishings that match the style of your interior, and mix in different furnishing styles and finishes to add visual interest and depth. To complete your space, find an outdoor chair that has fun texture or a unique shape. This will create a perfect, cohesive entertaining space for your summer gatherings.

PLACE DRINK TABLES! Make your favorite spot more interesting with a “little jewel” of a drink table. They are just big enough to set a drink, book, cell phone, or candle on them. Since they are usually small, they are easy to move around when you are entertaining. Place them by a bench or settee in your entry, a window seat, a bathtub, or your favorite chair to inspire a feeling of comfort and ease. They will help you create a space that beckons you to relax and stay awhile!

COVER STORY
OUTDOOR
Paradise BY MICHAEL REESE, IBB DESIGNER

What an honor it has been to work for this prominent Dallas family, both in their home and businesses. I was so excited for spring to arrive this year so I could finally install the outdoor living spaces of this incredible property. Beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained grounds encompass this 25,000 square foot estate. The property offers several outdoor areas to enjoy. A covered loggia with fireplace and an adjacent dining area welcome you first. From here you can admire a fountain and waterfalls that sit between two staircases leading down to an expansive vanishing edge pool, flanked by dual seating areas. It appears to flow into White Rock Creek which borders the entire rear of the property. When considering how to furnish each area, the homeowners and I spent time choosing a variety of fabrics in a cheerful palette of coral, white, orange, and fuchsia. We incorporated white iron and brown woven materials for the furniture to keep things interesting.
A beautifully-curved sectional sofa mimics the shape of the area beside the pool and a fountain area adorned with a Coppola and statuary.

The beautiful community of Lakewood at Brookhollow in Prosper, Texas, is brimming with family-focused appeal. Its lush landscaping, ponds, and bronzed art pieces set the backdrop for this decadent model home. Pristine white-painted brick and a bold asymmetrical roofline are paired to create a look that is both show-stopping and inviting.

Living
Room
This open-concept living room is a master class in how to make your whites pop! The soft linen drapes and upholstery are given strength and dimension by adding a little “eyeliner” with the strong black metal table bases and drapery hardware. This layered sophisticated design is topped off with personality in the pillow and art patterns. The ceiling accent in this room gives it unique definition while effortlessly flowing with the adjoining living spaces.

Kitchen
The kitchen in this home is a shining focal point in the open floorplan. It continues the theme of bright whites with touches of black for dramatic contrast. The black island and vent hood jump off of the Carrera countertops and marble brick backsplash. The white glass front cabinets are trimmed in black to add a unique point of interest. Black and gold pendants and gold cabinet hardware add a touch of sophistication and sparkle.

Keeping
Room and
Dining
For those who love to entertain, this floorplan is ideal. Begin your evening with cocktails on the patio; then invite your guests into the spacious dining room through the floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. Retire to the Keeping Room area for coffee and conversation in front of the fire. The finish is welcoming and luxurious with a marble dining table and fun, fashionable chairs. We added a subtle color in the soft blues of the custom art and oversized ottoman to give the Keeping Room a little pop.

The vision for the Primary Bath was to take the ma jesty of a grand ballroom and put it into the bathroom’s finish. The white soaking tub leaps off of black polished marble tile. We added porcelain to the walls so that every inch of the space breathes elegance. Gold is splashed into the room in the hardware and sconces.

Primary Bedroom and Bath
For the color palette in this home, we took a simple design of light honey wood floors with the tried and true black and white combination elevated it by adding a soft blue gray. The interior doors in the home are all painted Sherwin-Williams Jubilee. The Primary Bedroom features crisp white paneled walls, and the ceiling is accented in a blue-gray, just a shade darker than the doors. The room is furnished with a custom black velvet bed and black-stained wood with chrome accents to add depth to the light color palette. The spacious bay window is the perfect spot for morning coffee.

Media
The IBB team had a blast creating this incredible media room. Custom art was designed in the home’s colors by creating modern takes on movie favorites. We sandwiched the gray-blue walls between lush charcoal carpet and a charcoal ceiling. The modern leather sofa pairs perfectly with white Sherpa swivel chairs.

Study
The study was designed to be versatile and stylish as an office or as a lounge for entertaining. We highlighted the natural stained floating shelves with a bold black wall behind them. The design is carried to the ceiling with black shiplap and natural beams.

TIPS TO ORGANIZE YOUR GARAGE BY LYNDSEY MORGAN, NEAT METHOD FRISCO
lyndsey.morgan@neatmethod.com | neatmethod.com | @neatmethod on Instagram
Ah, the garage. The space of many uses. The space where we typically upon entering mutter the words, “Please don't judge me.” We have all been there. But who says the garage cannot look as good as the rest of the home? With a little work, we can turn your garage from gosh-awful to gorgeous in one afternoon.
1. Purge. Really take the time to pull everything out and sort it into categories of a like-kind. This will allow you to know and understand what is in all those boxes that have been piling up for years. If you have not seen it in five years or did not even know it existed, let it go! Adios! Goodbye.
90 IBB AT HOME
2. Get it off the floor. When a garage lacks built-in storage, it is easy to let things pile up on the floor. Whether it is simple build-it-yourself or custom-made by a professional, incorporating shelving, pegboards, or utility tracks is a small way to make a big impact!
3. The clear winner. Now that you have everything sorted into nice, NEAT categories, it is time to put it all away! We love clear storage bins so you can see exactly what is inside. Also, they are just pretty.
4. Label. Everything. Always. The final step to gorgeous garagedom is labeling. Adding labels to a clear bin takes organizing to the next level. It makes it easy for both adults and kids to see the category and label so they understand exactly how to put items back after each use.

TIPS
FOR SETTING YOUR TABLE FOR A PARTY
BY SHAY GEYER, IBB OWNER & DESIGNER
shay@ibbdesign.com | @designershay on Instagram Photography by Audrie Dollins
I recently collaborated with Shane Friesenhahn of Botanical Mix to design a fresh and colorful setting that is perfect for a summer soirée!
1. FRESH AND FAUX!
I love to add fresh flowers to my permanent botanicals to create a full and dramatic display. Botanical Mix has the very best of both and always creates the most incredible works of art. You really cannot decipher which stems are fresh and which ones are faux! The bright array of tulips, peonies, and hydrangeas brings color and life to the party and inevitably puts a huge smile on your face. If your dining area has a fireplace, add a coordinating arrangement of flowers to the mantle to complement the table design.
2. MIX OR MATCH?
Since the focus of this tablescape was the stunning floral design, I chose to match my dinnerware and not mix patterns or colors. This keeps the table from becoming too busy. I chose to use a collection of blue and white to tie in with the colorful tobacco leaf pottery and make a simple yet elegant statement.
3. PERSONALIZE IT!
I love a beautiful monogram to add a personal touch to a table setting. Over the years, I have collected white napkin sets with monograms in various colors. It offers a crisp look with just a pop of color to coordinate with whatever scheme I am using. For this design, I also used a blue jeweled napkin ring to contrast with the napkin.
4. STYLISH SERVING!
A buffet or serving cart offers a convenient location for desserts, wine, or coffee. I always add a small vase of flowers to complement the table’s florals. My bottle and glassware collection brings in jewel tones to the presentation.

Place it on the skillet, butter side down, and sprinkle the top evenly with 1/3 cup shredded cheese. 3.
