30 Years of
Life Enriching Moments EVERY YEAR SINCE 1989 a new hotel of ice and snow has been created in the small village of Jukkasjärvi in the north of Sweden. The ice of the Torne River transforms into art, design and architecture at Icehotel: an art project, and the world’s first and largest hotel built of ice and snow.
Since 2016, right next to the winter-only hotel, you’ll find the year-round part of Icehotel which is kept cold with the help of solar power. It has twenty art- and luxury suites made of ice and snow, an ice gallery, and Icebar by Icehotel Jukkasjärvi. This year we proudly celebrate 30 years of being an original and we are grateful that you are celebrating it with us. A warm welcome to experience Icehotel – all year round!
