Trends include outdoor living rooms, dining rooms, and kitchens along with commercial-grade BBQs, firepits, fountains, lap pools, and spas.

Outdoor kitchens for fair-weather entertaining that include built-in coolers, ovens, and natural-gas grills.

Interior courtyards with gardens and pools for complete privacy under the sun and stars.

Open floor plans – Interiors in most new homes have an open concept!

Chef-inspired kitchens with room for entertaining – Homeowners are opting for oversized islands with plenty of room to spread out while cooking, enhanced by wrap-around breakfast bars that seat 6-8 guests, perfect for socializing with friends at meal time.

Luxury kitchens – Luxury appliances, wine storage, farm-style kitchen sinks, pot fillers, quartz countertops, floating shelves, extra storage, touch faucets, and energy-efficient appliances.

Kitchens with COLOR! – Colored cabinets and mix and match cabinet finishes give a custom appearance. Custom storage options, farmhouse sinks, and colored grout make tile pop.

Wider hallways can accommodate decorative touches like side tables with flower-filled vases or left open for easier wheelchair access.

The perfect space saver – Barn doors on the interior instead of swing doors are timeless and add warmth.

Smart home — You can control virtually the entire home from your digital devices, including programmable thermostats.

Universal design principles – Raised toilet seats, flat light switches, automatic lights when you walk in, levered door knobs, hand-cranked windows, wider hallways and doors, and non-slip surfaces.
