The IMZ and Cinedans would like to cordially invite you to participate in dance screen at Cinedans 2010: On 9 – 12 December, the 12th international festival and competition for dance films and videos will take place in cooperation with Cinedans, the Dutch international film, dance and media festival (8 – 12 December).
In addition to the extensive film programme for all lovers of dance and dance film/ video, which brings together the newest, most exciting, trend-setting, controversial, most beautiful works of its kind, lively panels and productive discussions on the state of the arts, inspiring lectures, hot topic talks on community focal points and presentations will let us explore the variety of our alluring playgrounds. Focussing on excellence and innovation, the dance screen at Cinedans 2010 competition forms the centre of the festival, which thus will culminate in the dance screen at Cinedans 2010 Award Gala.

N EWSL ET TER IMZ INTERNAL NEWS Film Festival at Wiener Rathausplatz 2010: 20 Years Celebration Of Culture And The Culinary Enjoying a unique liaison of high-calibre music and dance films and the delicious delights of culinary treats from around the world, each summer, up to 700,000 music-lovers turn the square in front of Vienna’s City Hall into the heart of a vibrant world capital of music...
This year, celebrating its 20th anniversary, from 3 to 11 July and from 19 July to 12 September (intermitted by a series of events taking place in the framework of the XVIII International Aids Conference in Vienna), the programme of the Film Festival’s 20th edition offers many new opportunities to meet the protagonists of today’s music theatre as well as great legends of the past. VIENNA MUSIC FILM FESTIVAL IN YEKATERINBURG 2010
For the fifth year now, the IMZ has curated the Music Film Festival in Bucharest, Romania. The festival will take place on George Enescu Square, 12 – 20 June, and is once again organised by ArCub and the City of Bucharest.
On the initiative of the IMZ and in cooperation with the Austrian Honorary Consulate in Yekaterinburg as well as the Austrian Cultural Forum in Moscow, the first edition of the Vienna Music Film Festival in Yekaterinburg will take place in the concert-hall of the Palace of Youth from 15 – 19 June.
For eight days the George Enescu Square situated in the heart of Bucharest will be transformed in an oasis of classical music and dance where approximately 8,000 visitors of all age groups can enjoy classical music in a relaxed environment following the concept of the Film Festival at Wiener Rathausplatz.. The programme contains opera-highlights such as La Bohéme at the Towerblock, Anna Netrebko & Rolando Villazón in Paris 2007, The Dream Couple of Opera, and Operavox – The Rhine Gold, Turandot, Rigoletto as well as classical concerts such as Carnegie Hall Opening Night 2008: A Celebration of Leonard Bernstein and the New Year’s Concert 2010.
The programme will include classical concerts such as A Night in Vienna, Gala Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and operas such as The Magic Flute and Rigoletto.

The aim of the project is to initiate the performance of Franz Liszt’s oratorio Christus on 22 October 2011 in as many concert halls around the world as possible. The global performance of this monumental work would mark the 200th birthday of the great composer and be the highlight of the worldwide events of the Liszt Year. Information on the World Liszt Day project and related events will be published on the project’s official website together with a world map indicating the venues where the Christus oratorio will be performed on this special day. KLASSZ Music Office ask all the music ensembles, institutions, concert organisers who would like to join this initiative, to inform them about their planned project/programme at the
