N EWSL ET TER LOOKING FOR PRODUCTION PARTNERS FRANÇOIS ROUSSILLON ET ASSOCIÉS PROUDLY ANNOUNCES… The legendary production of Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress at Glyndebourne Festival (160 min / HD TV / recorded in August 2010): filmed for the first time in HD video.

Originally directed in 1975 by John Cox and designed by David Hockney, the esteemed pair return to oversee this revival. When Hockney began drafting his first designs for The Rake’s progress, it gave him the opportunity to combine his love of music with an exploration of the tradition of English art, to create a dialogue between the traditional and the modern and so find new room for his ideas in the three-dimensional space of stages.

Now conducted by the Festival’s Music Director, Vladimir Jurowski, with Finnish tenor Topi Lehtipuu and Swedish soprano Miah Persson reunited as poor mad Tom and his true love Anne, and with Matthew Rose as the Mephistophelian tempter, Nick Shadow: a superb project, not to be missed!
