N EWSL ET TER RELATED INDUSTRY NEWS minimum of 3 years. Applicants for membership need to be sponsored by 4 existing members of the AEAA with application being made through to President. The goal of the AEAA is to create not only a network between members in different countries, but camaraderie as well as a reflection of our business – a sort of safeguard for the industry. Created in 1947 as an outcry to help managers and artists navigate in a torn Europe just after WW II, the six founding members (located in France, Germany, UK, The Netherlands and Hungary) carried a vision of Europe far ahead of its time and used the talents of one another to promote artists and their business. Almost two decades ago the AEAA periodically published a compendium entitled Music in Europe, which listed all artists represented by its members. Since then the book has been transformed to become the internet databased CMA (www.ClassicalMusicArtists.com). Today the AEAA are proud to revive the title and see it take on a new shape to offer another service. Find out more on www.aeaa.info
