PROJECT OVERVIEW
Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), included Sleman Regency, has been a travel destination for art dan culture enthusiast. Art, which is already rooted in DIY, sparked a development of various art genres, and contemporary art is one of them. Moreover, this museum is built to answer the need of a facility for preservation, protection, publication, and development of contemporary art creation made by local artists.
This museum is located on an developing area in Sleman, where settlement zone turning into a commercialized zone. That condition leads the museum to be a public place for society around the site, especially people who creates and enjoys art. Besides, the site is also located in earthquake prone zone.
