From The
Publisher First of all, my heartfelt gratitude for all your support and prayers. I have had an interesting adventure; one I hope not to repeat. I have been home about a week after a two week stay in ICU. Apparently a stint broke free from my access arm (where I have dialysis) and traveled through my heart, piercing the pericardium and caused at least a liter of blood to leak out. I was immediately taken to ER for emergency surgery to remove the stint. According to the doctors, if it had nicked the main artery I would no longer be here… guess I’m not done yet. Some of the doctors even said I was a “case study” because they have never heard or seen a stint break off and travel. My prognosis is good and I am learning to take it easy; one of the harder tasks for me. So there you have my story. I am improving daily and growing stronger with each passing day. Also, because of this adventure, we find it necessary to combine the March/April issue Again, I thank everyone for your understanding, thoughts and prayers. There is one more observation I must mention; the paramedics sure were cute! Lest I forget to announce, In Light Times has reached a major milestone come April. We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary and hope to celebrate in proper fashion once life settles down.

Count Your Blessings Whenever we find ourselves resisting our life circumstances, rather than reacting out of fear, anger, or despair, we can choose positive actions to get us out of undesirable circumstances. Whenever we wonder if the positive experiences we want in our lives will ever come about, we must stay focused on the good that is already present in our lives and be thankful for the blessings we have. When Sharon’s son was born, the doctor told her that due to a heart problem, her son would not live beyond the age of two. She and her husband had a solid faith in God and an unwavering belief that their son would survive. They celebrated and gave thanks for every day of his life. Instead of accepting a death sentence, they held faith and built a future. Their son is now 27 years old. When you choose to live anchored in faith instead of thinking about what you lack and your limitations, you will feel calmer and more peaceful. You will be better able to think clearly and find solutions to problems, make the right decisions, and choose the right path for your life, instead of running around in a frenzy grabbing anything and everything that looks like an easy answer. Any time you act out of fear, you give up your power. Kim Kiyosaki states in her book, Rich Woman, “While fear can warn us of life-threatening events, it can also be a killer–a killer of dreams, of opportunities, of our own personal growth and passion, of living life to its absolute fullest. When you choose faith instead, you will have more control over your life and more power to make things happen”. Overcoming Obstacles Make a list of the obstacles you have encountered in your life. Give yourself a gold star for each one you have overcome. Affirmation “I believe in me. I know I am strong, capable, and creative. I release the past and stride confidently toward my future. I speak words of praise and encouragement to my inner self and watch with pride as my life unfolds with success. My future is mine to create. I am more than enough!”

Standing on the Shoulders of Giants A student told her spiritual teacher that she was suffering under “the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,” quoting Shakespeare’s famous verse from Hamlet. The teacher looked her piercingly in the eyes and asked, “Are you so sure that fortune is outrageous and it must bear slings and arrows?” The stunned woman replied, “But Shakespeare was a genius. He had penetrating insights into the nature of life.”
“… We are moving from an old paradigm of outrageous fortune to a new one of blessed fortune. If you wish to dwell in the new paradigm, you will have to let go of Shakespeare’s words. Are you ready? Are you willing?” My mentor once advised, “You must devour your teacher. You must go beyond what your teacher taught you.” We must honor the giants who have helped us, but ultimately we must stand on their shoulders. Those who have changed the world for the better have always questioned and transcended the world they inherited. If initial methods were the only methods, we would all still be writing on papyrus. E-mail? Crazy!
“Maybe life in his time,” the teacher said. “But that time is not this time. We are moving from an old paradigm of outrageous fortune to a new one of blessed fortune. If you wish to dwell in the new paradigm, you will have to let go of Shakespeare’s words. Are you ready? Are you willing?”
I saw a display at an ocean museum showing several nautilus seashells, each larger than the one before it. The guide explained, “The same creature could have conceivably lived in each one of these shells at different times in its life. The animal spins the shell as its ‘house,’ and when it outgrows the house, it leaves the shell behind and spins a new home to accommodate its larger size.”
Paradigms work for the moments they serve, but then they evolve to more expansive domains. Every belief system gives way to a greater one. Even science, which seems “solid,” is constantly casting aside old notions in favor of new ones. Sir James Jeans noted, “Science should give up on making pronouncements. The river of truth has often turned back upon itself.”
We, too, outgrow the shells that once housed and protected us. For all of them we must be grateful. But we must also be great-full, allowing greatness to shine to and through us in ever more expansive ways. In horticulture, there is one sure sign that a plant is healthy: the presence of new growth. If the plant is forming new leaves and flowers, it is in good shape.
The teachers and methods that once guided you, the ones that changed and saved your life, the ones that seemed solid as steel, may no longer be appropriate for you. To the ego, that suggestion is quite scary. But, as Mahatma Gandhi declared, “I am committed to truth, not consistency.” Just because a pathway healed or saved you at one time, does not mean it will serve you in the same way at this time. This does not make the system, the people who represent it, or related experiences wrong. It just makes them outdated. For you, at least. The teacher or system may be totally valid for those who use it now. But you have a different path, and you must be true to it.
Likewise, we must always be forming new leaves and flowers to stay alive spiritually. For new growth to come, the old leaves must fall away. They have done their job. They will be recycled by the universe to create new and more wondrous creations.
Let’s take some beliefs and teachings that many of us have embraced on the spiritual path, and hold them up to the light to see if they still work for us. Karma, for example. Is it the ultimate truth, or does the principle of grace supersede it? The religion you were brought up in—does it uplift you now, or does it bind you? Following an external guru—it works for many, but does it work for you? The notions of having to work to earn a living; or suffer to become free; or to have to walk through hell to earn heaven; or the belief that pain buys you anything worthwhile; or that sacrifice is required; or that one person’s self-diminishment results in another’s strengthening; or that one person’s death gives another life. And do we really reincarnate in a linear fashion, or might we be One Mind living all lives simultaneously?
Shakespeare rocks. He was a genius. Yet he was a writer for his time more than ours. Certainly he captured certain eternal themes. Yet new Shakespeares are being groomed even as we speak. Perhaps you are one of them, in your own unique way. The new paradigm might be flowing through you as a painter, inventor, or mother, You must be true to what is, not what was. Then you will be a living corroboration of the bard’s visionary prophecy that “there are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”

Enlightening Views Wisdom from Wayne
By Dr. Wayne W. Dyer
If you want to find a deeper meaning in life, you won’t find it in the opinions or beliefs that have been handed to you.
I Live My Life By My Rules If you want to find a deeper meaning in life, you won’t find it in the opinions or beliefs that have been handed to you. Rather than trying to be what everyone else expects you to be, live your life by your own rules to be happy and find inner peace. Your imagination is your own fertile field for growing any seedlings you choose to plant for a future harvest. You may have been told you have always been a dreamer, as if this were a fault. I can speak here from experience. Family, friends, teachers, and even advisors frequently disparaged ideas that burned brightly in my imagination. I often heard comments such as, “Wayne, you’re such a dreamer. Get real. You are never going to make it as a writer, or a television performer, or a movie personality. Be realistic—we know what’s best for you”. When I was being discharged from the Navy at age 22, my superiors warned me that starting college at my “advanced age” was loaded with uncertainty, particularly since I had no higher education experience, and I would be competing with younger recent high school graduates. Since I already had a skill as a cryptographer in the Navy, they advised me to pursue what they felt was best for me. But I had a dream—an imagination filled with the idea of teaching, writing, and speaking to large audiences. I saw myself onstage. I saw myself as a prominent author. And this vision could not and would not be sabotaged by someone else’s vision of what I should or could become. As a young boy in a foster home, I almost always ignored other people’s ideas about what I should be thinking or doing—I simply was indifferent to their opinions regarding what I could imagine for myself. I have carried this kind of inner discipline regarding my own imagination with clarity, refusing to allow external opinions to cancel or diminish what for me was hallowed ground. Many years later, I was advised that acting in a movie was not sensible for me as a 68-year-old man with no acting experience. I once again remembered to hang the DO NOT DISTURB sign at the entrance to my imagination, and proceeded to take acting lessons and adopt the self-enforced regimen that allowed me to create a movie. It is a product that fills me with pride today—all because I have diligently practiced the following rule: Never, and I mean never, allow anyone else’s ideas of who you can or can’t become sully your dream or pollute your imagination. This is your territory, and a KEEP OUT sign is a great thing to erect at all entrances to your imagination. Stay in a state of grace and gratitude for this resplendent gift is always yours to do with as you choose. As Ernest Holmes has said, “True imagination is not fanciful daydreaming; it is fire from heaven”.

Say “YES” to the
Enlightening Views According to Sophia
ADVENTURE!
What adventure is calling to you to say “Yes!” and to enjoy the experience?
“
Oh
you must be the Alaska daughter.” My mother’s friends greeted me. One by one they shared how much the trip Mom and I took to Alaska in 1989 had meant to my mother. These exchanges happened at Mom’s funeral in 1991. Until these brief conversations, I hadn’t realized just how important our Alaska trip had been. Mom was 75 when we took that 10-week, 10,000 mile round-trip trek from Tucson, Arizona to the Arctic Circle in Alaska. It was mom’s first–and only–camping trip.
,
I had invited my mother to join me on this jaunt immediately after telling her that I had quit my job, was selling my house, and didn’t know what I was going to do next for work. Timing is everything. I gave her the invitation for adventure just before she had a chance to chastise me for making such “irrational” choices. I knew the opportunity for adventure was more important to my mother than my decision to break the rules she held so dearly. In this case, the primary rule I broke was, “You don’t leave a job until you have another to take its place.” My mother had serious concerns about my judgment. Yet her first reaction was to say “Yes!” to the adventure. I don’t think Mom ever recognized the rebel or adventurer in her soul, but I did. I think it was catching, especially the penchant to say “Yes!” to the adventure which could be anything. It could be travel. (Mom would practically be packed and ready to go before I could finish asking, “Mom would you like to go to…?”) The adventure could even be with your career. For instance, there was a time men didn’t go into nursing and women didn’t become physicians. Now it’s the norm. The adventure could also be mental, emotional, or spiritual. Basically, life is the adventure and it is our choice how we respond to it. Do we say, “No.” and live out of fear, anger and victimhood? Do we say, “I’m not sure.” and live a life of doubt and hesitation? Or do we say, “Yes!” and celebrate the promise, hope, and wonder of every moment? I’ve known people who move between the three areas—one day saying “Yes!” and then, when they don’t get the results they wanted, moving quickly to “I’m not sure” and eventually to “No.” Then a wisp of a memory from when they said “Yes!” returns, and they try again. I think most of us have experienced each of these mindsets at different times in our lives.
By Sophia Falke
As you continue to say “Yes!,” you will feel right at home. And, if you hadn’t already pulled away from your negative friends, they either drop away or are attracted to your new say “Yes!” approach to life. The wonderful thing about saying “Yes!” to life’s adventure is once you do, the universe responds by sending you all manner of resources that you could not have imagined. For the past year I’ve been saying “Yes!” to a myriad of invitations to bring concepts or programs into physical reality. I didn’t know the “how to” when I said “Yes!” But I listened to an inner calling that said it was the right thing to do, and the universe responded—rather like when I said “Yes!” to an inner urging to see the Arctic Circle and invited my 75-year-old mother. “Oh, you must be the Alaska daughter,” are among the most cherished words I’ve ever heard. They carry fond memories and the realization that saying “Yes!” in my own life can make a powerful difference in someone else’s. What adventure is calling to you to say “Yes!” and enjoy the adventure?

The question is, where do you and I choose to dwell most of the time? Or better yet, what is our underlying premise? Is it “No.”? “I’m not sure.”? Or is it “Yes!” to the adventure? You realize, of course, life is going to happen no matter how you respond. So why not choose “Yes!”? Even if you don’t believe it at first, give “Yes!” a try. It might start out as a “Yes?” and that’s okay. Just keep with it. You might have friends who tell you that you are crazy to say “Yes!” If this is your situation, get new friends. If it’s family, surround yourself with enough “Yes!” people to drown out the droning of your naysayers. “Easier said than done,” you’re thinking? Not at all. There are countless groups on Meetup.com that draw together positive, high vibration people. Your place of worship might have a group you could join. There are many ways to find loving, supportive, say “Yes!” people. And if you find it a little scary at first to be around positive, high-vibration people, stay with it.

ASCENSION… Where Science & Spirituality Collide By Aleya Annaton
M
any were disappointed when nothing noticeable transpired on the much-anticipated date of December 21, 2012. There were myriad predictions about that day - from the world ending, to changes in our DNA, a shift in consciousness, massive earth changes, to the ascension of humankind. Of course, nothing obvious happened. However, when so many diverse cultures and prophets predicted that this date would be significant, perhaps its true meaning is yet to be revealed, and ascension is yet to come. Instead of some mystical experience where people disappear into another dimension, perhaps ascension really means the literal ability for a civilization to leave their planet! For when we understand how gravity actually works and learn to control it, giving us antigravity propulsion and the ability to travel the stars, we will also open up the key to creation and a second side of the universe according to a new theory of physics that is challenging current scientific thinking. This hidden side, that cannot be measured because it is in a black hole and does not radiate electromagnetism, may well be the spiritual realm! Nassim Haramein, a physicist with a paradigm shifting Unified Field Theory, believes the source of gravity (currently unknown) comes from this second side of the universe and that 96% of the universe…and therefore reality…is in this undetectable side of the universe. The reason we know we are missing so much of reality, is that scientists have observed that the universe is expanding and speeding up
at such a rate, that we need 96% more mass than all the galaxies we can see, to cause this expansion. Scientists have made up a theoretical particle called “dark matter” to account for this missing matter. However, Haramein’s theory says that it is the gravitational pull from the black hole side of the universe that is causing the expansion…not a made up particle called “dark matter”. That means everything we know about our reality is based on just four percent of what is! That’s not very much on which to base all our science, medicine, sociology, and spiritual understanding. Why do we think this second side of the universe is hidden within a black hole? The theory states that all matter is threedimensional and the concept of one and two dimensions is manmade, and does not exist. Think of it this way: If you tell me something is flat, and I ask you how flat is it, you can’t answer that question without adding a third dimension. This means all matter can be divided to infinity, creating infinite density; or a black hole at its center. This means every particle of matter collapses into a black hole at its center, creating a second side to the universe. It is the black hole that is the source of gravity, according to Haramein’s theory; not a made up particle called a “graviton”. Nothing in a black hole can be measured. This could well be the answer to why we can’t measure paranormal phenomena such as telepathy, remote viewing, or clairvoyance; even though it is well known that these abilities are real. With everything connected to this underlying black hole, we get a new understanding of the spiritual concept that we are all One. The technology that will open a
PAGE 10 • march/april, 2014 • IN LIGHT TIMES
controlled black hole will give us anti-gravity propulsion that will take us to the stars, give us unlimited clean energy, and the ability to create physical things directly from the contracted side of the universe (like Moses and Jesus were able to do). Things that come into direct contact with the energy from the contracted side, come into perfect resonance; giving us the ability to clean the air, water, the earth and our bodies promoting health and longevity. Most importantly, the knowledge that will give us the ability to leave the planet…or ascend…will also give us knowledge and access to the spiritual realm. Therefore, ascension and technology go hand in hand. Sounds farfetched? So did the idea of flight a week before the Wright brothers flew at Kitty Hawk. This technology may be here very soon, and may be the real meaning of the 2012 predictions of profound change and ascension!

Enlightening Views Joan of Arc An Earth Angel
By Doreen Virtue
Earth Angels & Conflict Phobia
I was at a dinner party with several famous spiritual authors. Across from me was a well-known television psychic, and sitting next to her was Esther Hicks (of Abraham-Hicks fame). I was uncomfortable because the psychic had publicly disparaged my work in the past, but I sat there anyway, pretending that everything was okay and trying to make pleasant conversation with her. But she didn’t play nice with me, and everything she said to me felt like a put-down. Finally, the psychic looked directly at me and announced loudly to the table, “I just hate people who love unicorns and rainbows!” Awkward silence. My energy fell. My face grew hot. Then Esther Hicks saved the day. She looked directly at the psychic and said with perfect strength: “Well, maybe that’s because you haven’t yet had the experience of unicorns and rainbows!” There wasn’t an ounce of sarcasm or placating in Esther’s voice or energy. She was speaking purely from a place of fearless and centered power. Everyone at the table was quiet. I wanted to run away or duck under the table. The psychic shifted her body weight, sighed, and replied, “Hmm, perhaps you’re right.” I looked at Esther with gratitude for teaching me one of my most important life lessons that evening. She showed me how to maintain dignity and inner peace in the face of harsh energy. Since then, I’ve devoted myself to studying and practicing this spiritual art.
I discovered that there’s a vast difference between being “nice” and being “loving.” I had lived my life as a “nice girl,” covering up my feelings to protect others, and sugarcoating what I said to avoid conflict. “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all” was my philosophy. I respected authority without question, and stuffed down my feelings. Then those pent-up feelings would become unbearable and I’d either confront the person who triggered them or leave the relationship. I thought I was being nice. I wasn’t. I was being fearful, which is the opposite of love. As I prayed for help with my relationships, I began to receive important life lessons. I’d hear them as intuitive “downloads,” meaning a knowingness or Aha! insight would suddenly appear. Sometimes the lessons would be accompanied by visual or auditory teachings. I’d see visions or hear a voice in my right ear, which is the way the angels have communicated with me since I was a child. The first lesson I learned was that sensitive people like me were “sent” here as Earth Angels with an important mission: to defuse and reduce conflict on this planet. Our mission doesn’t involve ignoring conflict. It involves resolving it. We Earth Angels are like loving-but-firm parents sent here to express God’s benevolent power to help others. Here’s an example by way of an analogy: If a child wants to only eat candy and says that doing so makes him happy, would a good parent allow this? Of course not. Even if the child cries or gets angry, a good parent must say “no” to the request to continually eat candy. The parent may moderate this response by occasionally giving candy, or may substitute healthier treats. However, the situation is handled though, it comes down to the parent being strong enough to say “no”. That metaphor is applicable to our life mission. When there’s conflict on the planet— whether it’s an argument between partners or feuds between countries—it’s akin to little children throwing tantrums because they’re not getting their way. We, as Earth Angels, need to assume the parental role; bringing about a peaceful resolution. Managing conflict can be uncomfortable because Earth Angels are so attuned to energy. We can feel when others are stressed, angry, sad, or uncomfortable. Their emotional energy affects us directly. Fortunately, we can use our awareness to shift this discomfort in a healthier and more peaceful direction. Remember the metaphor of the caring parent: she gets involved in her child’s conflict because she loves him. With a loving heart—whether it’s with your child, a friend, your spouse, or a co-worker—you step in and tell the truth. You reveal your real feelings, because you know it’s the only route to a long-lasting and healthy relationship. Holding your feelings in is like putting a steadily increasing amount of air into a balloon. There’s a limit to how much air the balloon will hold before it explodes!

Cats Fed a Variety of Foods Are Less Finicky
By Dr. Karen Becker

often emphasize the importance of variety in the diet of cats and dogs, with both my veterinary clients and readers. Just as humans benefit by eating a variety of foods, so do companion animals. One very important reason for offering your pet nutritional variety is to help prevent food allergies. When the same food containing the same protein is fed day in and day out for months or years, intolerances often develop. Many pet owners settle on an inexpensive commercial pet food their dog or cat seems to love, and they feed that food -- and only that food -- for long periods of time. Eventually, many pets develop sensitivities to certain ingredients in the food, often the protein source. Now, according to a recently published study, there’s another reason to offer variety in your pet’s meals -- especially if your pet is a cat. Feeding Dry Food Exclusively Turns Cats Off to Food That is Healthier for Them Many of you who own a cat are already painfully aware of how difficult it can be to make changes to your finicky feline’s dry-food diet. In fact, it’s such a universal problem that scientists conduct research on how cats develop dietary preferences. One such study was published in January of this year in the Journal of Veterinary Behavior. Researchers set out to discover whether who were kittens fed moist diets, then switched to kibble, would make an easier transition back to moist food than kittens that were fed dry food from the start. The study involved 18 adult cats that had been exclusively fed moist food or kibble from the time they were weaned.
For the cats fed one of the moist diets during the post-weaning period, the less time spent on the dry food diet, the better the cats maintained their weight when moist food was reintroduced. Four of five cats (80 percent), who were fed dry food for only 7 months, maintained their weight on reintroduction of moist foods, compared with two of five cats (40 percent) who maintained weight after 17 months on dry food. Kittens fed canned foods were more accepting of both raw and canned diets than kittens fed exclusively raw during the post-weaning period. Nutritional Variety Throughout Life Helps Cats Adapt to Dietary Changes This study certainly illustrates the importance of dietary variety for cats throughout their lives.
In particular, periods of feeding exclusively dry food seem to have a significantly negative effect on the ability of cats to accept a transition to a more speciesappropriate diet. The researchers observed, “any benefit of feeding moist foods early in life seems to be overcome by feeding dry expanded foods for an extended period.” The fact that kittens fed canned diets were later more accepting of raw or canned foods as compared with those fed raw diets is probably due to differences in the texture of the two types of food. Apparently kittens fed a raw diet post-weaning are able to distinguish between canned and “real” food as adults, unlike cats fed canned food after weaning. The study authors are careful to point out that this is a preliminary study and larger numbers of cats are needed to verify these results and determine their significance. However, they believe the study supports the benefit of offering dietary variety throughout a cat’s life to preserve adaptability to changes in nutrition that may be necessary or desirable. Given the difficulty so many cat owners face when they try to transition their pet to a different type of food, I certainly agree. And while I think an entirely fresh food diet is optimal, I also feel it can be very beneficial for healthy pets to be offered a wide variety of fresh, raw, dehydrated raw and high quality canned foods. I’m not a fan of kibble, especially for cats, because even very high-quality dry pet food lacks moisture content. Moisture is a key component in species-appropriate nutrition for felines, so I really discourage feeding any dry food to kitties.
Thirteen cats were fed either commercial canned food, commercial raw food or homemade raw diets exclusively from the age of 9 weeks to 20 weeks. Another five cats were fed only dry food during the same period. At the end of the post-weaning period, all 18 cats were fed a commercial dry food diet for a period of 7 month up to 23 months. As adults, the 18 cats were offered one of three moist foods (commercial canned, commercial raw, or homemade raw), with the following interesting results: •
The kitties fed exclusively kibble for more than a 7-month period after weaning were not interested in the moist diets, including the cats fed a moist diet during the post-weaning period.

AQUATIC TURTLE • The shell of a turtle is made up of 60 different bones all connected together. • A turtle’s mouth, usually called the beak, contains no teeth (but be careful, their bites can still hurt)! • Aquatic turtles have to be in water to eat.
BALL PYTHON • In the United States, the ball python received its name because it curls itself into a ball with its head in the center when it becomes nervous or upset. • The ball python can swim well when necessary.
BEARDED DRAGONS • Male Bearded Dragons bob their head quickly to show other dragons that they’re dominant. • The bearded dragon uses its beard to make it look larger to potential attackers. • In the wild, Bearded Dragons will often stand up on their hind legs to run from danger. • Bearded dragons can excrete ‘dry’ urine to conserve fluids in their native desert habitat.
BETTA FISH ~ Siamese fighting fish • There are more than 25 colors of Betta Fish, including red, blue, green, yellow, orange, pastel, purple, transparent, black, white and many more. • A male betta often flares its fins when it feels threatened. • For male betta fish, richer the color, the healthier they are.
CHINCHILLAS • Chinchillas can jump up to five feet in the air. • The chinchilla has the softest fur in the world, about thirty times softer than human hair. • Chinchillas often release a part of their fur when they feel scared in order to mislead predators when they are under attack (the fur does grow back).
GERBILS • Gerbils recognize each other by the taste of their saliva. That is why it looks like they are rubbing noses when they meet, they are actually licking each other’s mouths! • Does your gerbil ever push at your hand with its head? This means that it is irritated and wants to be left alone. • When a gerbil is excited, it will sometimes jump with all four feet in the air.
GUINEA PIGS • The Guinea Pig sometimes make a purring sound when he or she is happy. They’ll also “rumblestrut”—a swaying motion accompanied by rumbles or purrs to sound more intimidating. • A happy guinea pig may jump straight up and down. This movement is called “popcorning.”
GOLD FISH • Did you know that Goldfish don’t have stomachs? But they still need to eat! • Gold Fish originally came from China and were introduced to Europe during the late 17th century.

Life takes us on many paths. This book should take you on a journey of truth, knowledge, and selfdiscovery. PATHWAY TO A SPIRITUAL CONNECTION is a spiritual book that was inspired by a prior employer that passed on unexpectedly. He contacted me from the other side while I was in a dream state. He wanted me to write this book to inform people that life and love continues even after death, and it is important to trust in God. He explains what he experienced on the other side through a question and answer section of the book. Most importantly, he wanted me to help survivors cope with the physical loss of their loved one. This is accomplished with an overview that covers hospice care, signs and symptoms of dying, stages of grief and the bereavement process. Also included in this book are messages that were received from friends and a family member of the author: they wanted to share in the basic message of their love for others. Most important love never dies, our loved ones live on in spirit and continue to love us and watch over us. Electronic version of this book can be found on line by using the Amazon or Barnes and Noble web sites while a hard copy (paperback) version can be obtained from either Amazon or Direct Music Café web sites. In addition, the Author is available for lectures : marjorietafoya54@gmail.com.
The New York Times best-selling author of PHYSICS OF THE IMPOSSIBLE, PHYSICS OF THE FUTURE and HYPERSPACE tackles the most fascinating and complex object in the known universe: the human brain. For the first time in history, the secrets of the living brain are being revealed by a battery of high tech brain scans devised by physicists. Now what was once solely the province of science fiction has become a startling reality. Recording memories, telepathy, videotaping our dreams, mind control, avatars, and telekinesis are not only possible; they already exist. THE FUTURE OF THE MIND gives us an authoritative and compelling look at the astonishing research being done in top laboratories around the world—all based on the latest advancements in neuroscience and physics. One day we might have a “smart pill” that can enhance our cognition; be able to upload our brain to a computer, neuron for neuron; send thoughts and emotions around the world on a “brain-net”; control computers and robots with our mind; push the very limits of immortality; and perhaps even send our consciousness across the universe. Dr. Kaku takes us on a grand tour of what the future might hold, giving us not only a solid sense of how the brain functions but also how these technologies will change our daily lives.

Gems for the Soul Testing for Gossip In
ancient Greece, Socrates was reputed to hold knowledge in high esteem. One day an acquaintance met the great philosopher and said, “Do you know what I just heard about your friend?” “Hold on a minute”, Socrates replied. “Before telling me anything I’d like you to pass a little test. It’s called the Triple Filter Test.” “Triple filter?” “That’s right”, Socrates continued. “Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you’re going to say. That’s why I call it the triple filter test. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?” “No,” the man said, “Actually I just heard about it and ...” “All right”, said Socrates. “So you don’t really know if it’s true or not. Now let’s try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?” “No, on the contrary.” “So”, Socrates continued, “you want to tell me something bad about him, but you’re not certain it’s true. You may still pass the test though, because there’s one filter left: the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?” “No, not really.” “Well”, concluded Socrates, “if what you want to tell me is neither true nor good nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?”
The Mousetrap
A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package. “What food might this contain?” the mouse wondered. He was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap. Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning: “There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!” The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said “Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it.” The mouse turned to the pig and told him “There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!” The pig sympathized, but said “I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers.” The mouse turned to the cow and said, “There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!” The cow said “Wow, Mr. Mouse. I’m sorry for you, but it’s no skin off my nose.” So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer’s mousetrap alone. That very night a sound was heard throughout the house - like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey. The farmer’s wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer’s wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital and she returned home with a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup’s main ingredient. But his wife’s sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig. The farmer’s wife did not get well; she died. So many! People came for her funeral; the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness. So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn’t concern you, remember: when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk. We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another. Each of us is a vital thread in another person’s tapestry. IN LIGHT TIMES • march/april, 2014 • PAGE 15

Facing Life
as an
EMPATH A Beginner’s Story By Na’avah Rich
I began spiraling out of control. I was seeing things in people that I had not seen before. I was feeling things that were unfamiliar and it scared me. In August 2013 I began losing my mind! At least that’s what I thought. The influx of emotions and energies around me seemed to be closing in at a rapid rate and I didn’t know if I was coming or going. It just wasn’t limited to my thoughts and feelings, either. My body began to do all kinds of crazy things. Headaches, body aches, nausea, missed menstrual cycles, the whole shebang! Being an analytical person, I didn’t want to fully accept that there was something Spiritual going on within me. I tried to justify these feelings of hopelessness and misery as being stress related and took to scolding myself for slacking off on my mediation and yoga. Self-promises of doing better were met only with further misery and loneliness and a continued inability to focus on my Spiritual wellness and health. I attempted to struggle on and try to move through now shifting the blame from my lack of self-discipline and care to the high energies pounding the Earth all at once. Yet, the harder I tried to overcome, the more difficult things became. Finally in October of the same year, I lost it. I began spiraling out of control. I was seeing things in people that I had not seen before. I was feeling things that were unfamiliar and it scared me. I wasn’t able to sleep and when I did sleep, it wasn’t restful. My patience became short and my ability to just function on a daily basis was severely compromised. Always tired, I simply just wanted an escape from everything. I was ready to leave my marriage, my children, my entire life behind me and go somewhere where I couldn’t be found. Being that I work from home, I have no friends locally (as I moved to a new city a few years ago) that I could talk to about how I was feeling, and those that I did communicate with seemed out of reach. I was terrified to go and tell them what was
going on with me, as I was sure I would be judged. Whatever this thing was that I was feeling seemed very real to me, but I was doubtful that anyone would be able to relate or understand. I didn’t want to be told to pray about it, or that it was just a passing phase. I didn’t want to be treated like a mental patient especially since I was starting to question my own insanity, and I didn’t want someone to try and ‘fix’ whatever was going on. I needed desperately to understand the why and find a root cause so that I could put an end to the suffering before I destroyed my entire life.
Very gently, my husband laid me down on the floor and with the help of my Crystal child, my 7 year old daughter, began scanning and clearing my Chakras. As they moved through each Chakra I could feel the waves of energy. Some sensations were so great, it actually made me cringe or jump when their hands moved over a particular Chakra. The negativity and tension just seemed to keep coming. For 40 minutes I laid there as they did their energy clearing on me. The crying subsided, and I began to feel the immense amount of love they had for me surround us all.
I finally decided that I needed to talk to someone and took a chance on confiding in my husband. He and I have been married for 10 years and we transitioned through many of our Spiritual and religious belief systems together. He was going to be my best choice, as he has always made it a practice to listen and allow the person he’s talking with to come to their own conclusions by asking the right questions. As I sat with him talking about a few of the issues I was having, I felt myself feeling worse instead of better. I could not fully formulate my thoughts into words or ideas that I believed would make sense to him. I rambled on for several minutes before looking up at him. When I did, he saw the desperation in my eyes and moved to action immediately. He took me to the mediation room I have set up in my home. I reluctantly moved to my altar and lit some sage and incense, and then he instructed me to sit down on the floor. As the music played softly in the background, we started a meditation to see if I could clear my mind and set whatever was wrong back in place. As I sat there I began to cry. The meditation seemed to only increase my pain and suffering. I thought for sure that I had finally stepped off of the cliff of sanity and was plunging to my death in the world of the insane.
An hour or so later, I decided to go to bed. My husband and daughter were sitting on my bed playing a game. I still felt a little ‘off’ but thought that maybe I just needed to try and get a good night’s sleep. I tucked my daughter into bed and then proceeded to lay down myself. My room was completely dark, and as I lay there, my mind began to race again. I took a deep breath and then began to speak. The words that followed seemed to just naturally flow without blocks or confusion. I told my husband how I had been feeling, using words that perfectly described what I was trying to convey to him. I spoke of seeing people beyond their perceived selves, down to the very essence of who they really were. I told him that I could sense the energies and that I wasn’t sure of what to do. I explained in great detail how everything was making me feel like I was losing my mind and that all I wanted to do was disappear. He listened, speaking only here or there, but was able to comfort me enough for sleep to finally take over.

The next day as I was driving him to work and I had the breakthrough; maybe I’m an Empath! When I arrived back home, I immediately got on my computer and began researching Empaths. I read through the information, and soon began to
F eature S tory If any of what I’ve said sounds like something you’re experiencing, know that you are not crazy. felt lighter and relieved. I was not crazy! There were other people out there describing exactly what I had been experiencing and they had a name for it. Pleased by my revelation, my husband purchased a book for me titled, Whose Stuff Is This? By Yvonne Perry. The information that book contained along with the information I found online began to set me free. What is an Empath? A person with the paranormal ability to apprehend the mental or emotional state of another individual. All things created have the ability to be empathetic, however, every 1 out of 5 people are what you would consider super sensitive to the energies around them. I was absorbing all the energies of each and every person, place or thing I encountered. As I moved through the resource material, it further confirmed what I was feeling and exactly what I was. I then began to wonder how many other people are suffering from this ‘gift’ unaware? I knew that I had to write down my experience to share with others so they would know that they are not alone. It would take more than just this article to detail all the information available on Empaths, so I won’t try to do that, but I will share some of the information I’ve found with those that may be experiencing this beautiful gift and not knowing it.
Traits of an Empath A sense of knowing: Empaths just know things without being told. We can never really explain how we know, we just do. I’ve had some experiences pleasant and unpleasant with my ability. Most recently (before the spiral), my husband was out with friends and I was at home. I became extremely agitated and felt absolutely terrible. I withdrew from my children and went into my room to try and get it together. I just ‘felt’ like something was wrong. I was led to look up something online. What I found was devastating, and due to privacy issues I will not disclose that information here. It wasn’t until later that I was able to confirm with my husband that he had been dishonest about a situation and once he told me, the anxiety and agitation subsided. In a way, Empaths are human lie detectors. An Empath will know 99.9% when someone is lying to them. This is one of the main reasons why it is important for us to recognize our ability and understand how to control it. Mirroring emotions: If you find yourself empathizing
with someone to the point of taking on their emotions as your own, you may be an Empath. We tend to not only relate to a person’s feelings, both physical and non-physical, but we actually, for better lack of a term, become one with them. This is due to our ability to dip in and out of the aura (energy field) of other people (and even plants and animals.) For example my 15-year-old son is an Empath. At times my son will be fine. He’ll be laughing and talking or doing something on the computer and he’ll be in a great mood. Five minutes later however, he shifts into something else and he’ll retreat to his room for minutes to hours before returning and being fine again. You can see how I would think it was just him being a teenager initially. However, I began noticing this behavior more regularly. By determining my gift and the fact that it is an inherited trait, I’ve begun helping him learn how to deal with his gift effectively.
help another person. Doing this actually depletes the Empath’s energy and puts us in situations we don’t really want to be in but we’re unable/ unwilling to say no because we don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.
Negative news, TV, music and radio broadcasts: As Empaths, because we are sensitive to all energies anything negative on TV or in the news can actually influence our mood without us even being aware of what’s taking place. Remember, everything has an energy field. Empaths are energy sponges, absorbing all the energies around us. (If we don’t know how to control them and protect ourselves).
There are quite a few more traits of Empaths. To get a full list, I strongly recommend doing an Internet search for more details.
Sensory overload in crowds: We Empaths do not do well with too many people in one place. When a large group of people are gathered together, large amounts of energy are emitted and all the energies are different. We can feel those energies and it feels almost overwhelming. I personally have always hated crowds, but I thought it was because I consider myself to be an introvert. In actuality, I am an introvert because of the crowds not the other way around. Granted, this is not all the time, as if I am with another familiar person, my focus is on them, making it easy to block out other energies. Empaths are the go to guy/gal: People feel very comfortable unloading their problems on Empaths because we take over their emotional energy as our own. If you notice that everyone seems to call on you when there’s a problem or issue, you may want to take a look at why. Empaths don’t know what NO means: We will say yes without thinking, because our deepest desire is to
Self-sacrifice: Empaths will put everyone else’s needs above their own even if it makes us miserable. Again, we are people that have a deep desire to help fix other people’s problems. This is not limited to our families and friends, but can even extend to world problems. We will go above and beyond to try and make things right for all of creation, all the time ignoring signs that we’ve overextended ourselves. You’ll find a lot of Empaths in caretaking roles. Overemotional: Empaths can relate from to anyone/ thing. From a character in a book to real people. This makes us appear overemotional.
If any of what I’ve said sounds like something you’re experiencing, know that you are not crazy. You are sensitive to energies and must be mindful of how you interact with the world around you. Once you’ve discovered your unique ability to connect with others, you can learn how to protect yourself from unwanted/negative energies and how to use your abilities in healing work, holistic therapies and metaphysical studies. This is my experience thus far. As I move forward and learn more I will freely share with all my fellow Empaths out there so that we can begin to live a life full of joy and peace, while still doing what we love which is helping others, but in a healthy way.

or suppressed menstruation. What else could a girl want? With its myriad of uses in childhood imbalances, mom will never want to be without catnip. Catnip will help calm a child when they are teething, colicky or restless. When given for colds and fevers, it helps the child get the rest they need. A catnip enema has brought down a stubborn fever when nothing else worked. It is a gentle calmative for hyperactive children and a good digestive for an upset tummy. When your child is over excited or sick, making a catnip bath is often a mother’s hero. To make: bring a big pot of water to a boil. Take off the heat and add a couple of big handfuls of catnip to the pot. Cover tightly and let steep 45 minutes or longer. Strain off into bathtub and adjust water temperature before placing child in bath. This is a great bath for a stressed out mommy too so you may both want to get in that catnip tub together! Catnip baths are specific for the hyperactive child. For respiratory infections, drinking hot catnip tea increases perspiration and effectively brings down fevers, and acts as a decongestant. At first sign of a cold or flu, begin drinking hot catnip tea frequently (2-4 cups throughout the day). It is also helpful in bronchitis and asthma, sore throats, coughs & sinusitis as well as eruptive infections such as chicken-pox and measles.
Years ago women regularly grew medicinal herb gardens to give them the medicines they needed to care for themselves, their families and people in their community. Having stood the test of time, these simple yet powerful herbs are making a strong come return in back yards all across the country. Plants in the mint family were some of the easiest to grow and more importantly, had a plethora of uses. There are many varieties of mints today. Perhaps the oldest and most popular one is the Catnip. Latin name Nepeta cataria, is undoubtedly best recognized as an intoxicating herb that cats find irresistible. Catnip makes a pleasant tasting tea that is loaded with totally absorbable vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. One of the most well known uses is an infusion of Catnip to help induce a restful night’s sleep. To make your Catnip Nightcap, put 1 heaping teaspoon full of dried catnip (or 1-2 tablespoons full fresh catnip) in a cup. Fill with boiling water and cover tightly. Steep 20-30 minutes, strain (add honey or Stevia if you like a sweeter tea) and drink before bed – sweet dreams! Note: Catnip is believed to help prevent nightmares too. Catnip is a mild antibacterial and the leaves, when being chewed, helps the pain of toothache or headache. Catnip helps stomach aches by calming the nerves; the tea is also helpful for stress, anxiety, tension and nervousness. Externally, the macerated plant (called a poultice) is used directly on the skin for pain, sprains, bruises and insect bites to slow bleeding & speed healing or as a liniment to ease the pain of arthritis. A thick salve either applied directly or made into suppositories is very useful for hemorrhoids. Make a strong infusion (tea) for use as a hair rinse for scalp irritations; as eyewash for inflammation, allergies and bloodshot eyes or as an enema to cleanse the bowel. Women sing catnip’s praise for its antispasmodic properties in calming menstrual cramping and its soothing and calming properties for PMS, anxiety, stress & tension. It is also used to regulate periods and for delayed PAGE 18 • march/april, 2014 • IN LIGHT TIMES
Iowa State University have proven that nepetalactone (the oil that gives catnip its smell) can be a more effective bug repellent than DEET by a factor of one hundred. Especially because DEET has been known to cause toxic reactions to some of its users, catnip—a less harmful product by far—may be the next wave of bug repellent.

To make: put catnip in a cup; bring water to a boil, take off heat. Pour hot water in cup and cover tightly. Steep 20-30 minutes, strain, add (optional) honey or stevia for sweetness. A great tea to drink before bedtime.

Treat the Person, not the Disease Often in the everyday stream of things, we enjoy comfortable assumptions which allow us to float on the river of life. Sometimes facing reefs of regret or butting against the banks of negativity, we nonetheless continue on our voyage. We see that we cannot travel backwards upstream since that path existed in the past, yet our future most certainly contains steady waters as well as rocky rapids. When challenges of the body appear, we face the depths of our humanity when we no longer separate the journey from who we are. Our conscious self listens intently to our tangled fears and charts a course for health based on the maps of other navigators before us. The spirit within us waits for us to realize we function as a whole being, capable of riding the wave of dis-ease and healing our body. Treating the Patient My wonderful physician once told me, no matter what my x-ray results showed, I am his patient, not the film. He reminded me he treats me and provides a means for my body to heal itself – his treatment and my participation merely clear the path for healing to occur. For many years, science and psychology searched for the body/mind connection. Just as the heredity/environment question, no concrete answers dominate the discussion. Speculation further poses the question of just where and how does healing occur? Those charming sugar pills The placebo-effect, long known in the medical world, illustrates the mysterious mind/body affiliation quite well. Believing the drug we ingest will provide an elixir for health, the benign placebo yields no medical miracles. The true healing occurs when our mind believes in healing and health. When we look further into examples of people heroically overcoming physical challenges, the common denominator is not a placebo, but a solid belief in health, rather than the battle of overcoming the imposition of disease. Sowing the seeds of health When we focus on health, rather than challenges, the Universe provides us with a healing which confounds modern medicine. The attitude shift from “fighting cancer” to visualizing and embracing abundant health, provides the spark of wellness offered by no miracle drug. As the movie “The Secret” expounds, whatever you give your attention to, increases in your life. When you pay attention to “fighting” a disease, the disease receives the energy of your intention, and actually grows. Shifting

your focus to abundant health and well-being brings about a healing and wholeness only your spirit understands. After twenty years of heart disease, my father faced a final challenge. His physician did some sort of heart x-ray diagnosis and told us the results. My father’s heart was almost completely blocked, despite a quadruple bypass 10 years earlier. But, instead of failing completely, his body “grew” tiny corpuscles to carry the blood flow around the heart to perform the necessary function. When the cardiologist pointed out the tiny threads of life, I asked, “How did that happen?” He responded, “Some people really want to live.” My father’s case is a perfect example of allowing the body to take care of itself. He didn’t know the grave condition his heart suffered, therefore he gave no energy to the blockages. Instead, he concentrated on feeling better and continuing to live. Sadly, soon after the “terminal” news impacted him, my father gave up his unknowing, and began to concentrate on how little functionality he retained. Dreading the inevitable open-heart surgery, he told me, “I will not survive another operation.” He was right. He died in the elevator on the way to the operating room. Modern Medicine While advancements in modern medicine provide us with amazing prevention and recovery results, the true healing lies within. Ancient practices of acupuncture for instance, clear the obstacles that prevent the body from healing itself. As we grow more self-aware and in tune with ourselves and our power, we harness the energy to maintain perfect health – with or without the aid of the medical community. Healing the body and working with others to heal themselves, is a high calling in life. Overcoming not only the mind/body conundrum, but the fear and doubt that we contain within us the power to heal, remains one of humankind’s greatest challenges.

Ancient Solution to a Modern Wheat Problem?
By Carolanne Wright
Einkorn may provide a new grain alternative for those suffering from gluten intolerance
O
ver the last several years, many who value health are becoming aware of the dangers of gluten, especially when it’s consumed as modern wheat. Severe digestive distress, celiac disease, rheumatoid arthritis, ADHD, multiple sclerosis and even mental illnesses such as schizophrenia are just a few of the maladies linked to the protein in wheat, barley and rye. As reactions continue to escalate at a staggering rate in the United States, both researchers and private organizations are beginning to take a look at ancient cereal grains as a possible solution to our wheat troubles. Commonly known as einkorn, Triticum monococcum is an intriguing heritage grain that was harvested as early as 16,000 BCE. Cultivation began during the Neolithic Era and early Bronze Age (10,000-4,000 BCE) and continued into the early 20th century, when much of einkorn production was replaced by hybridized, high-yield, pest-resistant strains of what we now recognize as modern wheat. Einkorn is nutritionally superior to hard red wheat, supplying higher levels of protein, fat, phosphorous, potassium, pyridoxine and beta-carotene. It’s also much lower in problematic gluten. Enthusiasts of einkorn believe it tastes better, lending a “light rich taste which left common bread wheat products tasteless and insipid by comparison,” according to the ASHS publication Progress in New Crops. What’s really garnering attention, however, is that einkorn may be nontoxic to individuals suffering from gluten intolerance.
Safe for Celiacs?
Several studies indicate that einkorn could provide a new grain option for the millions with celiac disease and gluten sensitivity. In one experiment, intestinal biopsies were taken from 12 treated celiac patients, as well as 17 control subjects, and cultured with either standard bread gliadin or einkorn gliadin for 24 hours. At the end of the testing, researchers concluded, “[This study shows] a lack of toxicity of T. monococcum gliadin in an in vitro organ culture system, suggesting new dietary opportunities for celiac patients.” Another study involved 12 celiac patients who had been adhering to a glutenfree diet for at least one year. In a single-blind, cross-over investigation, each participant was giveneinkorn wheat, rice or amygluten on days 0, 14 and 28. At the end of the study, researchers noted that, although “[n]o definite conclusion can be drawn on the safety of Tm [einkorn]. . . Tm was, however, well tolerated by all patients providing the rationale for further investigation on the safety of this cereal for CD patients.” Additionally, Norwegian researchers have identified a T-cell stimulatory gluten peptide in modern wheat, which triggers an autoimmune response in people PAGE 20 • march/april, 2014 • IN LIGHT TIMES
sensitive to the protein. Alpha-gliadin genes on wheat chromosome 6D appear to be the culprit. Of particular interest to individuals with celiac disease is that einkorn wheat does not contain this troublesome peptide. Further research is needed, but preliminary findings hold promise for those suffering from gluten reactions. The Many Ways to Use Bentonite Clay
By Sue Woledge
White Layer Strips In Mountain Are Bentonine Clay
W
hile there is evidence to suggest that healing clays have been used by humans for healing and ritual since before the discovery of fire, both the growing interest in traditional and alternative medicines, along with the ability of modern day humans to come up with more and more creative ways to use clays is causing an upsurge of interest in their application. A wide range of uses that range from clay toothpastes to cancer treatments means that healing clays such as bentonite clay are being realized by many as a useful addition to the first aid kit or medicine cabinet. Traditionally, healing clays have been consumed in clay waters, eaten as clay balls and used externally to treat skin infections. In recent years the antibacterial and healing aspects of healing clays have begun to be studied for their potential medical applications in reversing bacterial infection and ulcers. However even in our day-to-day lives, common clays such as bentonite clay have been demonstrated through human experience to be invaluable to those who use them and they have many potential uses.
Bites and stings
Mix bentonite clay into a thick paste with water and apply to bites or stings for almost instant relief from pain and swelling. The application of a clay paste will also prevent itching as the sting heals as in the case of bee stings.
Skin disorders
Bentonite clay has been used for many skin complaints ranging from acne to skin cancers. Apply a clay paste to the affected area and reapply as needed. In some skin complaints, internal use of clay may also be of benefit.
Detoxification
Taking clay internally can help to remove heavy metals, pesticide residues and radiation. Mix with water and drink away from food, medicine or supplements. Adding clay to bath water will also help to detoxify the body.
Beautiful skin
A facemask can be made by mixing water with clay and then brushing the mixture on to the face. Allow to dry then gently wash off with warm water. The skin will be left soft and glowing.
Warts
Apply a thick bentonite clay paste to warts and cover with a bandage. Reapply regularly until the wart disappears.
Tummy upsets
Because bentonite clay is antibacterial it can be useful to ward off food poisoning where suspect food has been consumed or it can be taken to settle an already upset tummy.
Home made mascara
Create your own eye defining mascara using aloe vera, charcoal and bentonite clay.
Aluminum free deodorant
Bentonite clay is an essential ingredient in this recipe for home made deodorant. You can even give your hair a lift and leave it looking shiny and healthy by applying a mixture of clay, herbal teas such as chamomile or rosemary, essential oils and apple cider vinegar. It is important to note that bentonite clay should not come into contact with any metals and should not be mixed with chlorinated water. If taking bentonite clay internally, always take at least two hours away from food, medicines or supplements and always seek appropriate advice from your health practitioner when treating any illness or injury.

10 Benefits of
Olive Oil
The extensive health benefits of olive oil are known to humans since ancient times when they were first identified by the father of medicine Hippocrates. Since then, over thousands of years olive oil has been an essential part of the Mediterranean diet. Most health benefits of olive oil are attributed to the natural properties it possesses. Olive oil is naturally free of the 5 main culprits that cause most health problems: cholesterol, salt, sugar, gluten and trans fats. Plus, it is tremendously rich in monounsaturated fats, the good type of fat recommended by nutritionists and heath experts. 1. Reduces The Risk Of Type 2 Diabetes. If you’re pre-diabetic (borderline diabetes) then you should have at least 2 spoons of olive oil daily. A study published in the scientific journal Diabetes Care has demonstrated that Mediterranean diet, which is rich in olive oil, can reduce the chances of developing type II diabetes by almost 50% as compared to a diet low in fats. 2. Prevents Heart Disease. Olive oil is known to lower the levels of blood cholesterol, a major contributor of heart diseases. Studies have shown that having olive oil regularly can help lower blood pressure. A study conducted by researchers from France noted that senior citizens who consumed olive oil on a daily basis had lower incidence of stroke. The study showed individuals who consumed more olive oil (in cooking or salad dressing) had a 41% lower risk of stroke compared to individuals who did not use olive oil at all. It not just prevents heart disease, it also slows down aging of the heart. According to a study by Spanish researchers, olive oil (and other monounsaturated fats) can improve the heart function in older people. 3. May Help In Weight Loss. Most avoid olive oil because it is dense and high in calories. It is a common misconception that olive oil causes weight gain. In fact, studies have shown olive oil may help in weight loss. Olive oil keeps you full for a longer time and therefore reduces hunger pangs. It also reduces sugar cravings. 4. Decreases Cancer Pain. Olive oil contains phytonutrient oleocanthal which imitates the action of pain relievers like ibuprofen, therefore helping reduce pain and inflammation.
It also contains certain components that can reduce the chances of recurrence of cancers, especially breast cancer. 5. Reduces Oxidative Stress. Among all plant oils, olive oil has the highest amount of monounsaturated fats, which does not oxidize readily in the body. It is known for its richness in antioxidants, especially vitamin E, which plays an important role in reducing the risk of cancer. 6. Improves Bone Health. Olive oil helps in the absorption of calcium. It also improves bone mineralization and the process of calcification. This property of olive oil is extremely helpful for people suffering from osteoporosis, who are susceptible to fractures because of reduced bone mass. 7. Protects Against Depression. Olive oil also helps you to be emotionally strong. According to Spanish researchers from the University of Navarra and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, a diet rich in olive oil can reduce the chances of developing depression. 8. Relieves Constipation. Olive oil serves as a lubricant for the digestive system and helps ease the passage of stools, thus relieving constipation. It strengthens the digestive system and helps prevent gastro-intestinal problems like gastritis and peptic ulcers. 9. Improves Brain Function. Olive oil is helpful in improving cognition, according to a study in France. The study showed visual memory and language fluency tremendously improved in older adults who used olive oil intensively (not just in cooking but also in sauces and dressings). Olive oil also helps improve the condition of people having brain-related disorders. 10. Protects Against Cancer. A study conducted by Dr. Niva Shapira, Tel Aviv University in Israel and Bob Kuklinski of Rockstock University in Germany found that olive oil may contribute to prevention of malignant cancers. The progression of the most dangerous type of skin cancer called malignant melanoma may be slowed down by the antioxidant effect of olive oil. Along with antioxidants, olive oil is also rich in oleic acid (monounsaturated fat or good fat) that can play a role in protecting against tumors (in breast cancer).

Tips for Taming Your Winter Allergies “Cockroaches, dust mites, dander, and mold can trigger cold and flu-like symptoms”. Dr. Joan Lehach Immunologist
As frigid temperatures and unusually snowy conditions over much of the nation continue to keep many Americans indoors, a veteran allergy expert reminds us that staying inside may keep us warm, but it also us gives us prolonged exposure to four powerful indoor allergens capable of triggering a variety of cold and flu-like symptoms. If you experience more than nine days of continuing congestion, coughing, sneezing, watery eyes and nasal drip, chances are good that you are reacting to the presence of either dust mites, cockroaches, animal dander, or mold somewhere in your home, office or school. Many times, and especially in the inner city where populations are dense, all four of these allergens are present and must be addressed.
9. Use The “Hot” Setting: Wash your bedding in hot water (at least 130 degrees) to properly neutralize allergens. 10. Wash Your Face And Hands: Not only to maintain popularity with family, friends, and co-workers, but if there is dander, mold, or dust on your face or hands, chances are good that you will end up inhaling it. ‘Samples for Symptoms’ Dr. Lehach has arranged with the manufacturer to send free samples of Rootology to any winter allergy sufferer who Tweets a photo of themselves coughing, sneezing, wiping their watery eyes, or blowing their runny nose, while supplies last. Use the hash tags: “#BreatheFree with #Rootology”.
wwwww
Here are 10 tips for controlling your indoor allergy symptoms:
Joan Lehach, MD is nn integrative medicine physician specializing in allergy, asthma, and clinical immunology at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, Dr. Joan has 27 years of experience treating patients and has the largest solo asthma and allergy practice in the Bronx. Named by US News and World Report as one of the top physicians in New York, she lectures extensively on allergy and asthma and has helped design asthma protocols for a number of health plans. Visit: www.JoanLehachMD.com.
1. Mold Inspection: The first step for controlling your allergy symptoms is to do a little inspection for mold inside the house. The most common places to find it are on shower curtains, wallpaper, carpets and the sink. Mold also grows in the drain, which can be cleaned with bleach and detergent.
Are you too acidic?
2. Cockroach Hunt: Studies have found cockroach allergens to be present in at least half of inner city homes and in nearly three-quarters of inner city schools. Cockroaches do not have to be alive to trigger respiratory problems. Dust containing molecules of crushed carcasses can still cause problems for humans. Professionals can be consulted to discover and clean out hidden colonies. Nesting areas and pathways where cockroaches may have been traveling should be thoroughly cleaned. 3. Dry Up Dust Mites: Keep your indoor humidity at 50% or lower, as higher humidity will breed dust mites. A humidity gauge can be purchased for about $5.00. 4. Filter Out Animal Dander: If you have a pet allergy, you probably are going to need to be on allergy medications until you can consult with an allergist and see if you want to be desensitized or not. Meanwhile, a small HEPA air purifier placed in each room will keep airborne dander from spreading throughout the house. Mice or other fur-bearing pests living under the house or in the attic must be searched for and removed. 5. Get Symptom Relief: A mixture of sinus-friendly Chinese herbs, like Rootology, can temporarily halt most allergy symptoms in less than 20 minutes. Rootology can also be used to control winter cold and flu symptoms. 6. Start An Immune-Building Diet: Eliminate foods that are weakening your immune system, like processed and packaged foods, and start eating immune boosting, allergy fighting foods, like blackberries and blueberries. Also important are multivitamin supplements and digestive enzymes to help access more of the nutrients in the food you consume. 7. Get Sufficient Sleep: Our immune system is very “sleep-driven”, and allergies are precipitated by weakened immunity. 8. Stay Hydrated: When you become dehydrated you get dry nasal mucosa and can develop microscopic cracks in the nasal lining, making it easier for allergens to enter your bloodstream.

Are Dairy Products Good For Your Health?
Before my parents immigrated to Canada close to four decades ago, my mom was convinced that one of the benefits of living in Canada was the amount of cow’s milk that was available. Back in Korea, moms, dads, and grandparents of all ages were sure their babies and grandchildren could be bigger, stronger, and healthier if they could only have easy access to milk.
That generation’s belief in the remarkable health value of milk was most probably rooted in their admiration for the physical strength and healthful appearances of American soldiers who were stationed at military bases around the country following the Korean war.
By Dr. Ben Kim
symbol of all things bigger and better in the land of the morning calm. I was born one year after my parents immigrated to Toronto, Canada. My mom chose not to breastfeed me because she was sure that cow’s milk would be far better for my health and future. She was just one of many millions of people around the world who considered milk to be the ultimate health food.
While Korean soldiers ate rice, kim chee, and den jang (miso) soup for breakfast, American soldiers enjoyed milk, cereal, toast, bacon, and eggs. It was natural for many Koreans to conclude that the difference in size and strength was due to the foods Americans ate.
Today, the number of people who consider milk to be a healthy food choice is most probably in the billions. True, there are groups and communities, particularly in the natural health field, who are well aware of the many health challenges associated with eating dairy products, but there is no denying that a large percentage of the world’s population still believes that milk does a body good. Heck, if Dr. Phil is going to appear in ads wearing a milk mustache, how can the general public believe otherwise?
In much the same way that American influence caused baseball to become wildly popular in Korea, milk became a
Here are some important facts you should know about most varieties of milk that are widely available in grocery stores:
Most varieties of milk come from cows that are fed high-protein soybean meal and growth hormones to increase production. Both increase a cow’s risk of developing mastitis, liver problems, and pituitary gland problems, leading to frequent doses of antibiotics. Clearly, regular exposure to synthetic growth hormone and antibiotic residues is not congruent with experiencing your best health. Conventional milk is pasteurized, a process that exposes milk to high temperatures and results in the following: •
Denaturing of milk proteins, making them less usable and even harmful to your body
•
Destruction of enzymes, one of which is phosphatase, an enzyme that helps your body properly absorb the calcium found in milk
•
Destruction of vitamins B12, B6, & C
•
Destruction of friendly bacteria
Many varieties of milk are homogenized. Homogenization is a process that forces healthy fat in milk through a fine straining device, which allows homogenized milk to be consistent in texture and taste rather than have globules of fat float to the surface. The problem with homogenization is that it can alter healthy fat and cholesterol in milk which leaves them more susceptible to forming free radicals. Milk can be a healthy food choice if it meets the following criteria: It comes from old-fashioned cows like Jerseys and Guernseys, (dairy cow) not modern Holsteins that have been bred to produce large quantities of milk. Holsteins typically have pituitary gland problems resulting in large amounts of hormones being present in their milk. It comes from cows that have been allowed to eat foods that are natural to them: grass when it is available, and green feed, silage, hay and root vegetables during colder months. It is not pasteurized. Pasteurization was first used in the 1920s to kill micro organisms that caused tuberculosis and other diseases related to unsanitary production methods. With modern day controls in place to ensure clean
PAGE 24 • march/april, 2014 • IN LIGHT TIMES
and safe production, transportation, and storage of milk, the disadvantages of pasteurization far outweigh the advantages. It is not homogenized. (Realmilk.com is a website that provides more information on what constitutes healthy milk and where to find it). Even if you can find a local source of healthy milk, it’s possible that it may not be a healthy choice for you. Many are unable to properly digest milk because they lack an enzyme called lactase, necessary to break down lactose, the natural sugar in milk. Many people have a difficult time digesting casein, a major protein found in milk. Ongoing exposure to casein that is not properly broken down is strongly associated with chronic ear infections, nasal congestion, acne, eczema, a variety of autoimmune illnesses, and even cancer. Fermenting or souring healthy milk to form yogurt, kefir, and clabber helps to breakdown lactose and predigest casein, making these foods healthy choices for some people. Please keep in mind that many brands of yogurt and kefir are made with unhealthy milk. At the very least, you should make sure that storebought yogurt and kefir are made from organic milk. Butter contains very little lactose and casein, which makes it an acceptable food choice for some people - it’s best to use varieties made with organic, unpasteurized dairy. Cheese, highly concentrated with casein, should only be eaten by those who don’t show signs of intolerance to casein. It is best to eat cheeses made from healthy milk, and completely avoid processed cheese which contains hydrogenated oils and harmful emulsifiers, extenders, and phosphates. Please note: The guidelines in this article can be used to choose healthy goat’s and sheep’s milk and their derivatives. Flu Vaccines Fact vs. Myth
…medical experts around the world have been questioning the conventional wisdom of flu vaccines. Flu Vaccines Should Not Be Considered a Panacea ~ The government and pharmaceutical
companies would have us believe that many segments of the population must get vaccinated against the flu every year to protect their health. These supposedly “high risk” groups include pregnant women, children less than five years of age (and especially children under the age of two) and everyone aged 50 and older. Is this information truly accurate and based on sound science? Maybe not. Safety and Efficacy ~ In recent years, medical experts around the world have been questioning the conventional wisdom of flu vaccines. One researcher who reviewed the studies on influenza vaccines concluded in an article published in the, British Medical Journal that their effectiveness cannot be confirmed. He also observed that there is inadequate research to demonstrate their safety, stating, “The large gap between policy and what the data tell us (when rigorously assembled and evaluated) is surprising.” Childhood Flu Vaccine Inhibits Development of T-Cells ~ A newly published study in the Journal of Virology adds additional weight to the case against routine influenza vaccinations. Researchers have found that vaccinating children annually against the flu virus interferes with the development of virus-specific killer T cells. This means that the annual flu vaccine may protect children against the actual viruses in the vaccine, but at the same time makes them more vulnerable to any other virus that they are exposed to.
Support Your Immune System Naturally ~ As an integrative medical doctor, I believe that you can support your immune system naturally with a combination of healthy nutritional choices and targeted supplements for immune support. It is generally not necessary to introduce viruses, chemicals and heavy metals into our bodies in the form of a vaccination.
harmful excess Galectin-3 molecules in the body is critical in promoting cellular health and long term wellness. In addition to binding and blocking Galectin-3 throughout the body, research demonstrates that regular use of Modified Citrus Pectin offers powerful immune support and also safely detoxifies harmful heavy metals and environmental toxins without side effects. Integrative medicine treats the whole person, rather than the symptom or illness. As a result, these and other natural health solutions offer powerful immune support while simultaneously promoting overall health and protecting against chronic illness over the long term. And that’s an area where many conventional solutions fall short.

Common sense and scientific research tell us that one of the most important strategies for staying well is to wash your hands frequently. Washing with soap and running water for 20 seconds is the most effective way to cleanse your hands of all kinds of germs. It is also important to get enough sleep (greater than 7 hours per night), get moderate exercise and not overwork (less then 10 hours per day). Nutritional approaches to a healthy immune system include eating plenty of green vegetables, reducing or eliminating consumption of refined sugars and processed foods, and supplementing with immune boosting vitamins, minerals, herbs and botanicals. Immune Support Supplements ~ You can support your body’s innate health mechanisms with certain scientifically-researched formulas and compounds that combine cutting edge science with traditional wisdom. These will offer comprehensive health support whenever you need it most: during the winter season, when under stress, while travelling and for daily protection. Here are some of my top recommendations for supporting immune health during the winter and year round. Medicinal Mushrooms with Beta-Glucans ~ One of my top recommendations is a blend of six medicinal mushrooms with additional immune boosting beta glucans. The mushrooms in this formula have been used for thousands of years to promote optimal functioning of the immune system and support overall health. However, this formula is unique because the mushrooms are cultivated in the US on a blend of powerful immune supporting herbs which enhance the mushrooms’ natural immune boosting properties. When combined in a comprehensive formula with additional beta-glucans, medicinal mushrooms are an excellent way to boost your body’s natural defenses and combat infection, especially on a long term basis. Mushrooms are also of great benefit during times of acute stress or infection, as they can be taken in frequent doses with no known side effects. Tibetan Herbal Formula with Over 35 Years of Published Research ~ Another recommendation is a Tibetan herbal formula made with a blend of 19 rare and powerful botanicals that contain a multitude of health-promoting tannins, polyphenols, flavonoids and essential oils. This traditional formula has “cooling” properties that support balanced immune function, increased circulation and healthy antioxidant activity. Modified Citrus Pectin & Galectin-3 ~ Last, but most importantly, is Modified Citrus Pectin, the first natural Galectin-3 blocker. Scientists are now finding that blocking

Awakened Oracle Astrology
I am sitting at the base of the Acropolis in Athens, Greece as I write this column for April. I have been touring ancient Greece for 2 ½ weeks and so my perspective on April is certainly colored by my recent experience, most notably at the Oracle of Delphi, my Spiritual Home. In April we will experience one more exact square of Uranus and Pluto. This is the 5th of the 7th exact squares of these two planets and are the foundations for the upheaval/change permeating all society in the last few years. As I meditate here in the heart of the ancient world I am reminded that there is nothing new under the sun. Yes, we will change and maybe what we create to accommodate the new energy will not have previously existed, (and let’s hope not!) but change is not new. New Thought/Old Structures, New Ideas/Old Beliefs. We have collectively grown and succeeded repeatedly because of this process, not despite it. So my message this month is a loving and gentle reminder to embrace Change as the only constant. Astrology uses the placement of all planets at the moment of your birth to determine the “Matrix” of energy you are working through this lifetime. The sign determines the process of connecting with that aspect of you. For instance, the Sun may be in Scorpio at birth, but Libra does not define “Who you Are”, it determines the process by which you will connect with “Who you Are”. Energy for April 2014 Strength: Our strength is found in Birth and Rebirth. What is ending its cycle at this time will be the fodder for new growth.. Challenge: Our challenge is Love. Understanding and compassion will lead to awareness. Move towards love and away from fear. Totem Energy: Our totem is Horse; the totem of Accepting Help. Be clear about what you actually need and accept the solution gratefully when and how it is presented. Energetic Theme: Our theme is Risk. Risk is the ability to take the first step forward without understanding what the second step will be. Moon Cycles New Moon: - April 28, 11:14 pm PDT- 8° Taurus. New Moon Message: Abundance is a gift and a birthright, not a privilege or reward. Full Pink Moon: April 15, 12:42 am PDT - 25° Libra. Full Moon Message:: Embrace the path from intellect to vision to compassion.
ARIES • Mar. 21 to Apr. 19
Totem: Cow (Nourishment, Abundance). Pluto will square your sun sign again on the 21st. You may feel a great urge to prepare for a battle as the “Old Guard” rears its ugly head again to thwart your forward movement. Cow has arrived to keep you connected to your sense of abundance and nourishment. The “battle” will become an exciting game when you remember that nothing you really need is being threatened.
TAURUS • Apr. 20 to May 20
Totem: Rabbit (Restriction, Fear). You may be feeling quite trapped or even fearful. Rabbit’s great gift is to “sniff out” danger, and to do so Rabbit stays on high alert and is cautious before it moves. Taurus, your magnificent old bull, you are not really trapped, this is a self-imposed restriction allowing you to feel your fear and better judge whether your current course is safe and best for you. This time is a gift.
GEMINI • May 21 to June 20
Totem: Serpent (Knowledge, Healing). Dear Gemini, you often process information but may not always retain wisdom. The Serpent has come to remind you that any trouble you are having at this time is for your own healing and that gaining knowledge is required now. Serpent also portends a time of “shedding your skin”. Are you hanging onto aspects of an old self? The root of the word “Healing” is “To change”.
Cancer ~ June 21 to July 22
Totem: Stag (Pride, Leadership). The Stag is asking you to take pride in your strengths and be sure you are true to yourself. This may be a good time to ask yourself some important questions. “Am I following my highest path?” “Are my actions in alignment with my integrity?” If you cannot answer yes to both of these questions, it is time to make some changes. Only you know the path you should be on.
Leo ~ July 23 to Aug. 22
Totem: Wasp (Forgiveness, Anger). Be mindful of how you address others at this time. If you are feeling the need to “sting” or feeling you have been “stung”, Wasp suggests that petty quarrels may be sucking your energy. Has envy or jealousy, on your part or the part of another, seeped into your world? Act decisively to get free of the issue. The lesson is to forgive or let go as quickly as you can.
Virgo ~ Aug. 23 to Sept 22
Totem: Eagle (Spirit, Integrity). Eagle appears as a true message that you are connected to Spirit at this time. Eagle soars high above the normalcy of life to view a wider vista. Take the long view right now. You may be wrestling with an issue, or your day-to-day life may feel mundane. If you view it from a broader perspective, however, you will see how Spirit is present in every moment.
Introducing Aries March 21st to April 19th “I INITIATE”
Ruling Planet: Mars ~ Rules: Head & Face ~ Symbol: The Ram ~ Element: Fire ~ Energy: Masculine ~ Quality: Cardinal ~ Gem: Diamond ~ Flowers: Lotus ~ Color: Red ~ Most Compatible Signs: Leo, Sagittarius & Libra ~ Higher Octave of Aries Energy: The Higher Octave of Aries Energy: We embrace the physical realm, enjoying the freedom to initiate action based on the trust we feel toward our natural desires” ~ Lower Octave of Aries Energy: We embrace the physical realm, enjoying the freedom to initiate action based on the trust we feel toward our natural desires. Full Spectrum of the Aries/Libra Axis: To know oneself and explore the world as a reflection of our desires and subjective responses.
A
ries is the beginning of the Astrological Wheel where Spirit enters the World of Form. As such, Aries is about initiating action and embracing the physical. For an Aries sun sign, or any place we have Aries in our chart, we are driven to take action. On the highest planes of consciousness, we are driven to take action indicated by our “Divine Marching Orders”; that mission from our Creator that lies in our heart. Aries may have a bit of a reputation as impetuous or rash, but only because Aries normally is not taking action for personal gain. Aries is taking action to enact a needed change, to make things move. Ruled by Mars, Aries loves being a Warrior, on a quest or fighting a battle for Good and Right. Not an attention seeker fighting a battle to get notoriety. Aries sees things as straight forward; black or white. And Aries is alive with purpose and energy. Aries is also demonstrating self -sufficiency. Rely on Aries to rely on itself.

Libra ~ Sept. 23 to Oct. 22
Totem: Butterfly (Transformation, Beauty). It is time to open your eyes and see the beauty emerging all around you. Transformation is taking place in your life and Butterfly softly reminds you to make the choice to see beauty instead of darkness. Do not be tempted to join others who see the dark instead of the light. The glass is not only half full, it is being filled as you watch it.
Scorpio ~ Oct. 23 to Nov. 21
Totem: Cat (Independence, Courage). Love with freedom is an act of courage. Cat’s message is to relax your attachment to what you desire. Stretch your long legs, soak up some sun, and enjoy your own independence and any part of you that has been hanging on too tightly will relax along with your tight muscles. What you long for is to be more self-possessed. In turn, you will find you need fewer possessions.
Sagittarius ~ Nov. 22 to Dec. 21
Totem: Deer (Gentleness, Diplomacy). Walk gently on your path Sagittarius. Deer has come to tell you to be gentle in your movements as diplomacy is called for at this time. You may be heading into a period where you will not be sure of your footing or you may need to be gentle with another lest they are triggered into aggression. Remember, gentleness is not weakness, it is a trained discipline.
Capricorn ~ Dec. 22 to Jan. 19
Totem: Dog (Wealth, Sincerity). Good fortune comes with the Dog as your totem. Success and abundance are assured this month if you follow his advice; sincerity and steadfast loyalty are the foundation of lasting achievement. Are you being true to yourself and your dreams? Are you steadfast in your loyalty to your loved ones and your role in your community? Follow your heart to find your fortune and be sure to share
Aquarius ~ Jan. 20 to Feb. 18
Totem: Raven (Truth, Magic). Raven reminds you that nothing is beyond the power of Creation. No matter how bleak your life may feel or how impossible your dreams may seem, everything is always possible. If you have lost touch with that magic, ask Raven to help you see the coincidence and synchronicity that are the messengers of the magic of Life. How it feels is not necessarily how it is. Expect the magic and everything changes.
Pisces ~ Feb. 19 to March 20
Totem: Spider (Creativity, Work). Spider’s message is that you already have within you the ability and resources to create meaningful work. Are you longing for a more creative path? Is the dreamer within you itching to write a book? Spider reminds you that you alone are responsible to give birth to, and then care for, the creative spark within you. Whether or not you see yourself as creative, you are the creator of your life.

“Disease cannot grow in an alkaline body”. Dr. Otto Warburg, Nobel Prize winner in 1931. Cancer and Autoimmune diseases are acidic. Most bottled and all tap waters are acidic. Plastic leaches into water causing plastic particles found in breast cancer. There is an answer…KANGEN WATER. This Alkaline, Antioxidant, Micro-clustered water helps with: Detoxification (naturally flush toxins and acidic waste from your body); Hydration (water more easily absorbed at the cellular level); Oxygenation (more oxygen available to cells than distilled (dead water), reverse osmosis , filtered only, bottled or tap water, all of which are acidic); and helps Alkalize your body’s PH. New Paradigm Multi-Dimensional Transformation 773-993-6965
The New Paradigm Multi-Dimensional Transformation (NPMDT) is one of the most self-empowering and life changing events of this century. It gives the individual all elements necessary for stepping into their mastery and lets them begin living a life from the heart, and not the ego. The two day Basic Master Course is an experience that will guide you through the necessary steps in becoming aware of the multi-dimensional nature of reality. Through a series of meditations, activations, energy groundings, and discussions you are given tools that will assist on your path of personal transformation throughout life. The activations received during this class allows the individual the ability to heal with the hands. This is the highest upgrade of energy work available on the planet. As the ascension process is taking place on Earth and we begin to shift into a new paradigm, past belief systems and limiting thought patterns that no longer serve our highest good are released. Facilitator, Nesho Dobras. Visit: www.VioletLighted.com. See page 2
