INTERIORS
A beautiful home with attention to detail to match
Amid the tranquil community of Jumeirah Islands in Dubai, this house is an oasis of classic contemporary calm. Fia Interiors’ design vision was to give the clients a home that reflected their personality. The result was a house designed by carefully melding classic contemporary elements and modern nuances.
The living space boasts large windows, open spaces and high ceilings. Fia Interiors used a combination of calming neutrals with rich blues and warm walnut along with mirror panels that reflects the space. A tall intricately cut panel in a geometric pattern, for the entrance, creates a “wow” factor. For the dining room, the company curated a space with a big splash of rich blue and walnut creating a sense of glamour and style –just what you need for entertaining! This house truly has a timeless aesthetic style that evolves perfectly with the tonal contrast and striking design elements.
Interiors
Karim Abdul Muttalib from K.A. Interior Design created a sophisticated and captivating project
Counting on numerous elements like the marbles, metals, and wood panels, that turn this otherwise simple open space into a glamorous, high-end, and deluxe ambience, this one-bedroom house is worthy of royalty.
Beyond the architecture of the spaces, what brings this setting to a whole other level is the use of the furniture, lighting, and accessories. In a modern classic style, but keeping it very Arabian focused with the golds and the opulent magnitude of the spaces, perfectly in sync with Dubai’s aesthetic.
This open space area shares three distinct zones: The reception, the dining, and living room. This setting combines all of them into one glorious ambiance filled with the most exquisite pieces. It all starts with the entrance, where the Stella Mirror from Koket embraces and welcomes you into this exciting house, along with the Suspicion Console from Luxxu, raising no suspicions on how well balanced and executed this entrance look is. In front of it you will find the iconic and colossal Fortuna dining table from Boca do Lobo, a shimmering statement piece that unites all the pieces in one of a kind design aesthetic and passion for gold. Representing the essence of empowerment, and sophistication, combined with the also iconic Chandra dining chair, again from Koket, these elements are all bold and daring. This chair also exudes the feeling of vintage glam, while metal bands delicately bind it highlighting the sculpted fluidity of the tight back upholstery.
DUBAI DESIGN GROUP
Every beautiful masterpiece starts with a great concept
Maximum Exclusivity is a characteristic of Dubai Design Group's signature style. The company devoted a year and a half to the most unique project: “Perla D’Oro”. With an amazing recreation of the interiors of the Italian Renaissance, this project is truly classical.

Living rooms and bedrooms were furnished with the most elegant and well-known furniture brands. The Renaissance-style furniture is characterised by a clear form,
elegance, construction, and numerous architectural and ornamental elements. After successful completion of the interior, Dubai Design Group brought so much life to the outdoor area!
The garden was inspired by classical ideals of elegance, beauty and intended for residents to enjoy the view of the garden and the surrounding landscape. Last but certainly not least, the company filled the landscape with lots of Italian marble statues, trees and flowers, water organs, a huge swimming pool and other features designed to delight the owners.

Bishops Avenue
TheAlso known as ‘Billionaire's Row,’ this area has vast houses with colourful histories
Marc Schneiderman Directorocated in North West London, between the prestigious, leafy neighbouring urban-villages of Highgate and Hampstead, Bish ops Avenue derives from the bishops of London, who owned a large hunting park in the area in the late Middle Ages.
Over the years this neighbourhood has been home to a wealth of prom inent residents including business magnates, industrialists, celebrities, and even royalty.
Marc Schneiderman, Director of Arlington Residential provides insight into why people are drawn to Bishops Avenue and the main property types that can be found here: “For several decades the address has been synonymous with exclusivity and homes of quality. ‘The Bishops Avenue’ has almost become a generic term for luxury. For many years the road was closely associated with ambassadorial sized houses; often these were owned by anonymous shell companies. Today the stature of the road is very different. Luxury flat developments are now at the heart of the future of the street, with at least four completed apartment buildings and five more
under construction or in planning.”
James Diaper, Head of Sales, Savills Hampstead Office adds, “Bishops Avenue is considered to be one of North London’s most sought after and wealthiest addresses, drawing ultra-high net worth buyers to its exclusive enclave. Owning a prop erty here, over anything else, is a demonstration of status - which is only amplified given the finite number of plots and houses availa ble. Many buyers see property here as an investment, if not as a place to reside on a full-time basis. The land and plots that properties are situated
on are typically between two and three acres, which gives home owners and developers space to build high-spec trophy homes.
“Properties along the avenue are set back from the road and often behind security gates. These double fronted mansions offer an incredible standard of living that you’d expect at this level of the market. Often complete with pools, games rooms, private gyms and live-in staff accommodation, these homes offer amenities that allow the utmost privacy. Newer developments here, such as Bucksmead, go above and beyond. Here, owners can enjoy benefits like a 24-hour concierge service, BBQ area, a spa, 25m pool as well as leisure and entertainment facilities.”
According to Marc, “House prices range from around £4.5m for the beau tiful Arts and Craft houses at one end of the street to £40 - £50m with one particular house likely to achieve almost double this amount if it ever came to the open market.”
Key attractions are also what draws many to the area, with Kenwood Park in close proximity. Lee Koffman, Director, UK Sotheby’s Interna tional Realty states: “With all its open air shows and concerts as well
as the many independent shops, restaurants and cafes in nearby Highgate and Hampstead Village, Bishops Avenue offers property investors a host of interesting lei sure activities.
“As more buyers now require bigger homes, along with plenty of bedrooms, studies, leisure facilities and extensive gardens, demand for property in The Bishops Ave and the surrounding area will continue to increase. In addition, the price per square foot in NW London compares very favourably with prices for property in Prime Cen tral London.”
Lee Koffman Director UK Sotheby’s International RealtyEffortless styling

The constant search for elegance, precision and uniqueness have always been characteristic traits of Gibellini cameras and the brand’s founder Alessandro Gibellini, who experiments and innovates with product style through attentive study of detail. These distinctive traits come together in this GP810HP; the analogue camera with unmistakable style and superb craftsmanship.
Made entirely from solid aluminium and titanium with components machined from a single block, the GP810HP is a generously sized camera with analogue support where the sensor onto which the photographic image is impressed, is a large photosensitive plate measuring
20x25 cm. The pedestal on which the camera is mounted is also made of carbon fibre, aluminium and Alcantara. The optical train, the heart of the photo camera, was specifically developed by a specialised company. There is also the case, made from the same types of leather used to upholster the seats and interior of Pagani hypercars. The most demanding clients will be able to configure their cameras to exactly match their own cars, underscoring a concept and an exclusive design.

The Ulysse Nardin Freak X Magma watch has a 43 mm case made from a seismic combination of ultra-light carbon fiber and red, marbled epoxy resin, meaning each Freak X Magma is unique. Stripped down to its essential components, it is ultra-light, scratchresistant and streamlined. Volcanic, vigorous and virile, the combination of red and black is mesmerising and energising. Masculine, angular and lava red, Ulysse Nardin’s Freak X Magma is a force of nature, a watch of style, action, and elegance. With a red point-de-bride and a black leather strap evocative of obsidian volcanic rock and the lava flow at its origin; the combination of sandblasted and polished-effects on the bezel and a satiny smooth dial reflects a volcanic environment. With a total of nine animations, the Dragon Automaton is probably one of the most complex watches ever designed. The sacred animal's spine undulates like its tail; its eye and jaw open and close; its tongue moves; its crest rises and falls; its claws grasp a continuously rotating stone. The 43 mm case is finished in the gold of the buyers’ choice, and Jaquet Droz is already working on the opportunity of using other materials, such as sapphire. The case can either be engraved or left blank. The solid dial can be fully customised, engraved or replaced by a medallion in the stone of your choice. The Dragon, also made of gold and entirely engraved by hand, can have its scales more or less accentuated. It would be futile to list all the possibilities, as they are nearly limitless..

LEGACY
rt
The centenary of the birth of Berlin photographer, Helmut Newton, is being celebrated a little late due to the pandemic. Originally planned for 2020 to mark 100 years since Newton's birth, the Helmut Newton Foundation has made the best of the delay by garnering even more material for those wishing to explore the legacy of this hugely important figure. More than 300 works representing his complete oeuvre are here.
Primarily known for his photos of women, shown in powerful, aggressive, provocative, naked and sometimes distressing poses, Newton's career developed first and foremost through his fashion photography – the focus of this exhibition. Being Jewish he fled Germany in 1938 and went to Australia, where he established his hallmark style. Thrust into a world of haute couture intoxicated by luxury, he was among the first photographers to use the devise of placing his models in theatrical settings but he was also fascinated by the gritty reality of life Down Under and created hundreds of photos of working men for Shell Oil. In the 1980s, he turned to nudes and his subsequent images of over-life size models in belligerent nakedness have distracted from his wider work. This major retrospective, with many works never shown before, gives visitors a chance to assess Newton in a more nuanced light.

he National Gallery was fortunate that their centenary exhibition marking the birth of Lucien Freud did not get postponed by the pandemic. Freud was born in 1922, and his work is usually instantly recognisable. One of the great modern British painters – on a par with Stanley Spencer and David Hockney – this exhibition focusses not on Freud’s social networks and politics, there being little new to be said in this respect, but on his tireless exploration of the medium of painting. Works span seven decades, taking us from the powder pretty Girl with Roses of 1948 to the horrible portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, which has been lent to the show
by the Royal Collection. Winston Churchill famously destroyed Graham Sutherland's unkind portrait – it is a testament to the late Queen that the same fate did not befall this image. One major innovation introduced with this exhibition is the first Pay What You Wish
scheme as a response to the cost-of-living crisis. The voluntary donation scheme operates every Friday evening throughout the run of The Credit Suisse Exhibition. Until 26th January 2023 at the National Gallery, London, UK

Ancient folk customs, a Tudor mystery and the sounds of nature are all part of the intriguing 2023 programme at Compton Verney Art Gallery. Highlights include the first ever exhibition devoted to British folk costume and customs; a sensory tour of 18th-century Naples including simulated eruptions of Vesuvius and an art historical detective story. Who painted the magnificent Tudor portrait of Sir Thomas Knyvett around 1560 (pictured) remains a mystery but it unlocks the door to an investigation of the artistic migration across Europe in the 16th century. Works by Hans Eworth (c.1520-1574), in whose workshop the artist is likely to have trained, and miniatures by Nicholas Hilliard (c.1547-1619), help tell the story.
Making Mischief, an exhibition purely dedicated to folk costume in all its diversity, outfits used by communities across the UK in local and seasonal customs from the Notting Hill Carnival in London to the Festival of the Horse in Orkney. Programme runs through 2023.

The Kunstmuseum in Basel has rounded up about 40 works dating from the decades following the Swinging Sixties, all of which have a feminist theme. To put them in context, the museum has also selected a number of recent pieces by contemporary Swiss and international artists. The result is a mixed show which is rather less fun than the title suggests and rather more challenging. Aiming to combat the stereotype of the feminist movement as led by a bunch of humourless harpies, the raw (and frequently very ugly exhibits) draw heavily on irony and satire to achieve an end that is far from comfortable.

Cezanne
onet hailed him as "the greatest of us all" - even though he was certainly not an Impressionist while Picasso once called Cezanne the "father of modern painting." Such ringing celebrity endorsements propelled Paul Cezanne to the top of the artistic leader table – a position that he has maintained ever since.
A quarter of a century ago, in 1996, the Tate staged a major show of Cezanne's works. In his acid review, the great art critic Brian Sewell maintained that Cezanne was overrated. "We do Cezanne a grave injustice if we do not recognise his many failures," he wrote, adding that Cezanne was a "muddler whose rare masterpieces are separated from abysmal failure by a few strokes of the brush." It was an astonishing critique given the general consensus that Cezanne is an Olympian god.

The cost of transatlantic flights has soared so a new exhibition at the Royal Academy that brings the unrivalled collection of the Hispanic Society Museum & Library in New York to London is most welcome.

Giovanni Vespucciinto rooms by subject matter: apples and oranges, views of Mont St Victoire, The Bathers series and so on. The first room explores his interest in politics, via his friendship with Emile Zola, and current affairs and includes a painting of murderers which will come as a revelation to those for whom Cezanne is all about Aix-enProvence. Opposite the murder and his selfproclaimed "ballsy" nudes, are works which show the very different influence of another key figure in Cezanne's life: Pissarro.
Sewell advised people to go and look hard at the works and make up their own minds. I have to agree, not least because when you have made up your own mind about Cezanne, there's a wonderful free show called Australia on the same floor which certainly merits a visit.

entley has created the most driving-focused version of the Flying Spur luxury performance sedan family. Labelled as the pinnacle performance model, the Flying Spur Speed sits above the S model and boasts an extra 85PS and 130Nm more torque. With electronic all-wheel steering, torque vectoring by brake technology and Bentley Dynamic Ride as standard, the agility matches the performance of the 626bhp 6.0-litre twin turbocharged W12 engine.
With dark tint finishes to the front grilles, headlamps and tail lamps, and signature speed badges on the lower wing, the Flying Spur Speed provides a beautiful aesthetic. The unique 22" speed wheel is standard, with finishes including dark tint, and gloss black. A second optional 22" sports design wheel is also available in gloss black or pale brodgar satin. The Flying Spur Speed also includes jewelled fuel and oil filler caps. To increase the performance-focused presence even further, Bentley's Styling Specification (carbon fibre front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and subtle bootlid spoiler) and Blackline Specification remain available as options.
The Bugatti W16 Mistral offers performance unlike any open top car that has gone before. In its design and engineering it is completely bespoke; the existing monocoque is not simply cut off above the A-pillars to make way for the new open-top design but has been reengineered and reshaped to create a more rounded silhouette without compromising performance.
The W16 Mistral debuts in colours inspired by the Bugatti Type 57 Roadster Grand Raid; a warm black with hints of truffle brown and subtle yellow accents throughout. Not only is it an homage to the iconic coachbuilt body, but also to Ettore Bugatti, who chose the black and yellow combination for many
of his personal cars, including his Type 41 Royale.
The W16 Mistral features a curving windscreen that seemingly wraps around the A-pillars, blending seamlessly into the side windows and creating a ‘visor’ effect that hints at the motorsport levels of performance W16 Mistral offers. The windscreen itself is a marvel of engineering, curved just enough to create the rounded visor design, without distorting the driver’s vision.

BROUGHT TO LIFE
A special commission for just 25 customers – with all cars already sold – the single-seat, closed-cockpit McLaren Solus GT track car was unveiled during Monterey Car Week in California by Michael Leiters, McLaren Automotive Chief Executive Officer.
Engineered to reality by drawing on the full range of McLaren’s experience and expertise across the highest levels of motorsport and supercar and hypercar development, the Solus GT brings to life the futuristic McLaren concept that featured in the Gran Turismo SPORT video game.
At less than 1,000kg in weight and with aerodynamic performance including downforce in excess of 1,200kg, the Solus GT – which is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine – is capable of the fastest lap times of any McLaren outside of single-seater racing and delivers a driving experience close to the engagement and sensation of driving a Formula 1 car.
The striking exterior design features wheels shrouded in aerodynamic pods and located by suspension arms. A large front splitter feeds air into ground-effect tunnels before it exits the car via a full diffuser. A motorsport-inspired intake above the cockpit integrated into the design of the roll hoop cover feeds cold air into the engine, while also providing an engaging induction sound. Race car design also inspired the sidepods which house the Solus GT’s radiators.

GOODWOOD Revival
The last days of summer go out in a blaze of glory at this incredible event. Words by Stuart Shield
rivers and riders represented almost 30 different racing championships on the track at this year’s Goodwood Revival and even if that was not enough to keep you entertained, there was so much more to do and see. Two days is still not enough to get a total nostalgic fix for the golden years that were so much better than the modern life we now endure.
Goodwood is a time machine but what many visitors found when strolling around the perimeter of the race track is science fiction has now become science fact as a space craft had crash landed a short distance from the race circuit. I searched in vain for the little green men but with so many people disguised as beings from another time and place, they were impossible to spot but they did leave their smoking ruin for all to see.
Every year more people get into the Goodwood Spirit and revive celebrities and famous people by dressing up, with many so convincing you could believe Elvis, Fangio, Al Capone and Marlon Brando never died.
Amongst the living legends that were there driving were Rowan Atkinson, Jenson Button, Max Chilton, Scott Dixon, Dario Franchitti, Damon Hill, Jimmie Johnson, Tom Kristensen, John McGuinness, Sir Jackie Stewart, Jean-Éric Vergne and Stoffel Vandoorne.
The car stars included the Jaguar C-Type, Aston Martin DB3S and the Allard J2X. Across the weekend the likes of the Jaguar E-Type, Ferrari 250 SWB, Aston Martin DB4 GT also took to the track.
Ferrari celebrated a happy 75th anniversary with a daily beauty pageant of the world’s most revered and evocative cars, collectively worth more money than Belgium. The honorary celebrations were also made up of the 100th anniversary of the Austin 7 and a moving tribute to motor racing icon Graham Hill on the 60th anniversary of his first F1 World Championship.

Regarded as one of the wealthiest towns in America, it is easy to see why ultra-high and high net worth individuals gravitate towards Atherton, California. The town is nestled in the state’s Silicon Valley, a region famed for its magni tude of tech giants including Google and Facebook. Overall, “the location and the weather are what make California ideal for investors,” says Mary Jo McCarthy of Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Realty.
She continues: “There is some thing for everyone, which is a constant draw for people consider ing a move to the state. People from all over the world may be drawn to California initially for business, career or educational opportunities, but then are further enticed by the mild weather and California’s wide array of culture and recreational offerings. The second home market has been particularly strong in areas such as Lake Tahoe and Carmel.
“As for Atherton, it has con sistently ranked #1 for the most expensive zip code in the United States. Reflecting on the data from the past 10 years, Atherton has continued to appreciate despite intermittent dips in the market.”
Joyce Romeo, Realtor for Chris tie’s International Real Estate Sereno adds, “Northern California contin ues to be a highly desirable location for investors and homeowners due to the weather and proximity to the ocean, mountains, food and culture. Atherton specifically is located just miles from Silicon Valley and the
biggest tech companies offering amazing employment opportunities. Atherton residents love the town due to its larger lots and the privacy that it offers.”
In terms of what makes the properties stand out, Joyce says “The majority of the homes have a lot size of 1 acre or more, primarily on level land. This enables property owners to have grand, world class homes with luxury amenities as well as ultimate privacy. They enjoy lush grounds as well as flexibility to have multiple outdoor amenities such as pools, guest homes, tennis or sport courts. The weather is temperate, summers are typically sunny and dry and winters are mild. With the exception of one neighbourhood, Atherton does not have sidewalks so residents enjoy a more rural, relaxed feel even though they are just min utes away from Stanford University and the fast-paced companies of the Silicon Valley.”
Activities in the surrounding areas are plenty. Joyce states, “There is no commercial zoning in the town, thus there are no restaurants, shops or grocery stores. But nearby Menlo Park and Redwood City have robust downtowns with plenty or restaurants, shops and local busi nesses. Selby’s restaurant is a top choice for locals.”
According to Mary Jo, other activities include “a visit to the Stanford Shopping Centre, a tour of the gardens at the historic Filoli Estate in Woodside, and a visit to the downtown Half Moon Bay (30minute drive) then continue down

“Northern California continues to see its property values increase year over year,” says Joyce. “Many would say that the weather is one of the top reasons. I would also state that the job opportunities along with the ability to be at the ocean, a ski resort, a national park or a major city within a short drive is also a key factor.”

These factors, coupled with low-income tax and property tax rates, make the greater Denver area an ideal destination for real estate investment.”
“The properties in Cherry Hills Village often have larger lots and include parcels ranging from 1-10 acres,” says Anne. “Most of the properties throughout Cherry Hills Village remain traditional in architectural design/style, although it is not uncommon to find modern styled homes. According to Anne the rental market in Denver is very strong. “It attracts people who are unable to purchase or are here on tempo rary assignments,” she says. “Many people will rent during this time of low inventory. There are very few rentals in Cherry Hills Vil lage. Primarily, homes in Cherry Hills Village are owner occupied. Median sales price as of May 2022 was $3.7 million – an increase of 51% compared to the year prior which speaks to the dynamic growth and increasing equity in Cherry Hills Village. Scarsdale, New York
New York City’ s reputation as a cultural capital and the city of dreams are two of many reasons why people choose to call this place home. “New York also offers highly attractive and diverse real estate investment opportunities for global investors,” says Anne Moretti, Real Estate Broker for Julia B. Fee Sotheby ’s International Realty. “New York City and the surrounding metropolitan areas are among America’s most important hubs for commerce, culture, sports and global trade. Investing in either residential or commercial real estate is relatively easy and provides attractive returns for foreign investors.
“Scarsdale is an upscale subur ban community located within a short 35-minute train commute of New York City. It has long been a destination location for people from around the world. Its excellently rated schools, easy commute to the city, and diverse community services make it a highly desirable place to live. Demand for single family housing is consistently high, and available inventory rarely satisfies demand. Corporate transferees fre quently relocate in and out of the area, adding additional demand and creating excellent rental yields for investors in Scarsdale rental property.
“People move to Scarsdale for many reasons: schools, proximity to New York City, beautiful parks and recreation. Scarsdale has a rich history of attracting leaders from all professions including medicine, journalism, finance, law, publishing, education, sports and more.

our long history, and there is an abundance of parks and recreation. Scarsdale can be considered one of the most desirable asset class invest ments for foreign investors due to consistent demand for rentals at lucrative rental lease prices.
“For investors in Scarsdale, there are no limitations to owner ship, and financing is available even without US credit history if other financial conditions are satisfied such as proof of funds and overseas assets, along with employment and/ or income verification.
“The New York residential rental markets are strong, and this is particularly true in Scarsdale. Generally there are 2-3 months of inventory across a wide variety of price ranges. The pandemic had a huge impact on rentals in com munities surrounding New York City. As the great migration away from dense apartment living drove thousands of city dwellers to the suburbs, Scarsdale was a major beneficiary of that historical demo graphic shift. Homeowners saw the opportunity to sell their homes, and rental investment owners jumped on the bandwagon, causing the number of available rental properties to dramatically shrink, driving up prices. During 2021, 123 properties were rented in Scarsdale, ranging from $1,900/month to a whopping $75,000/month for a furnished short-term rental of a nearly 10,000 sq. ft. mansion with tennis court and swimming pool.
“While interest rates will continue to rise to curb inflation, mortgage rates will likely continue to float upward. However, mortgage rates are not likely to accelerate substantially as recessionary impacts will limit the demand for financing. Historically speaking, mortgage rates in the 5-6% range are relatively low and provide investors with great opportunities for positive cash flow, especially in highly desirable com munities like Scarsdale.”

BritishIslandsVirgin
Made up of 60 tropical isles, the British Virgin Islands enjoy a mild climate and gentle trade winds. With an impres sive collection of hotels scattered across the archipelago, and proper ties for sale and rent, investors are spoilt for choice.
Edward Childs, Director, Smiths Gore BVI gives key reasons as to why we should invest in prop erty here:
“The BVI has the reputation as a relaxed island getaway, and comprises a number of islands. The country is well known consequently as a sailing destination. It is still undeveloped compared to many Caribbean islands and a safe place to visit.
“For investors, the local currency is the US Dollar while the BVI retains close ties to the UK, bringing political stability as a UK Overseas Territory. There is no capital gains tax or estate tax. For those looking to purchase a house or land to build, the ability to holiday rent can be important if they want to defray costs. There are established man agement companies operating in the BVI to look after the property when owners are not in residence. Most villas are located in close proximity to the water or beaches and the same relaxed atmosphere makes villa rent als a popular choice.
“House values are generally affordable with most villas in the $800,000 to $2M+ range. Investors have the choice of islands between Tortola (the seat of government and
slightly more developed), and Virgin Gorda which is well known for its resorts or the outer islands which are less developed.
“Foreign investors are required to apply for a landholding licence prior to purchasing a property. This is normally a straightforward appli cation process handled on behalf of a buyer by a local purchaser. The application includes personal and financial references, a police report and, in the case of land purchase, an overview of the proposed house development. Time period to process the landholding licence is normally around six months.
“A well located and managed villa with good amenities will nor mally be in demand for villa rentals. We would typically expect villas to

rent for up to 30 weeks + per year (in normal years) where the villa is popular. Where owners are more relaxed about rentals, we would typically expect to see around 15 to 25 weeks rental.
“Like many islands, the BVI has seen a surge in interest from foreign investors as travel restrictions eased, resulting from a strong real estate market in the US. While interest rates and inflation will probably put a brake on the market in the States which always has a knock-on effect in the Caribbean, investment in the BVI is likely to continue as it appeals to people who are gener ally less influenced by the ups and downs of the market. Prices have generally shown gradual increase over time.”

St. Kitts and Nevis
Located in the Car ibbean and easily accessible by plane, St. Kitts, along with its sister island Nevis, is widely regarded as the region’s best-kept secret. “St. Kitts & Nevis is considered the ideal location for property investors as there is a range of properties to suit any pocket while still all offering the best of amenities,” says Joyce Isaac, Manager, Caribbean Paradise Realty, St. Kitts office. “The twin island fed eration has a stable government, low crime rate, no tax on rental income and there are numerous white sand beaches, restaurants, bars that keep tourists coming again and again. It is that thriving tourism industry that allows property investors to earn a constant stream of income on their investments, particularly during the high season (December to April).
“St. Kitts has numerous gated developments which allow investors to reside overseas and have their properties managed by personnel hired by Homeowners Associa tion. You can also purchase private homes and have real estate agents fully manage the properties for you. If you purchase properties in Frigate Bay (one of the most sought-after areas in St. Kitts), no alien landholding license is required. This makes it relatively simple and easy to own property in that area in particular.
“Hiking, snorkelling, a trip on the St. Kitts scenic railway, visit to Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park (a World Heritage Site), visit the Botanical Gardens in Nevis, sea bathing (Oualie Beach, Frigate Bay Beach, Pinney’s Beach, etc)
“The rental market in St. Kitts & Nevis is strong as there are a number of international universities in St. Kitts & Nevis and as such, the student population and professors

require the best in housing. The high demand is also as a result of a number of regional organisations based on the island and the large number of expats who call St. Kitts & Nevis “home”.
“After a lull in the real estate market in the last few years,
mainly due to Covid, the market started picking up again in late 2021 and is expected to slowly recover. The country lifted all Covid-19 restrictions in August 2022, and this is expected to boost tourist arrivals and also bring much needed life to the real estate market.”
“House values are generally affordable with most villas in the $800,000 to $2M+ range.”Joyce Isaac Manager, Caribbean Paradise Realty, St. Kitts office

Sea of clouds
Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo offers its guests the chance to enjoy a sea of clouds in the heart of the city. Chinzanso Garden is enshrouded in a mist several times a day morning, noon, and evening from October 1st. The hotel uses the latest technology to create a veil of mist that envelops the garden, which, when viewed from above, looks just like a sea of clouds. The mist is blown away by the breeze creating a dynamic, surreal scenery. Rising above the veil of mist, the iconic Three-Story Pagoda of Chinzanso Garden stands out with its tranquil beauty as it watches over the garden with the strong, reassuring presence of its 600-year history.
