I can hardly believe where the year has gone and I think it is now acceptable for me to be able to mention Christmas, because lets be honest it’s not far away now!!! The end of October sees Halloween and then the beginning of November its Guy Fawkes and then its a straight run to Christmas. There has been a change in the weather and there is now a chill in the air, personally I don’t mind this, its the rain I don’t like so lets keep our fingers crossed for a relatively dry November. This month I have been on a learning expedition and paid a visit to the Isle of Wight Bat Hospital and you can read all about it on page 7. There is still plenty to do on the Island and you’ll find details of Christmas Fayres, Guy Fawkes Parties and charity events listed in the Dates for your Diary on page 9 and on page 11 you’ll find details of the Christmas Panto taking place at the Amy White Theatre, East Cowes Town Hall. Like many I have heard of the Isle of Wight Bat Hospital but I can’t say I know a lot about them so I decided to get in contact with them to learn a little more about these wonderful mammals.

Resin Stone Overlaying is effectively surfacing over your existing block-paved, tarmac or concrete driveway, path or patio. Resin Overlays provide a highly cost-effective and quick way of replacing the surface in the Garden or on the Driveway. As well as being aesthetically pleasing and highly durable, the benefits include: Being both solvent and odour free, during and after application - Restricting growth of weeds - Eliminating loose stones Being environmentally friendly - Compliance with Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).
How is it done?
We initially prepare the existing surface using a high-pressure jet washer system and primer, before applying your chosen resin stone combination. The overlays typically take 1-2 days with minimal inconvenience.
Finishing
We also offer a range of natural or blended stone and surrounding landscaping options including moon stone to truly personalise your resin installation.
