Reveals how Kathniel's acting has grown T looks like Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo have definitely come a long way since they were first paired fours years ago in the weekly show Growing Up. Having graduated to Primetime Bida seryes like Princess and I and Got to Believe, the “Kathniel” tandem has risen to become one of the most popular teen love teams of this generation.

Despite having already done five movies together for Star Cinema (24/7 In Love, Sisterakas, Must Be Love, Pagpag, and She’s Dating the Gangster) Crazy Beautiful You is where they are finally able to showcase how much their acting has really grown and matured.

In the movie, they play teens Kiko and Jackie who both grow up in broken homes but with very different socio-economic backgrounds. Kiko (Daniel Padilla) is from Tarlac and is the family breadwinner to three younger siblings and one irresponsible single mom (Assunta De Rossi).

He earns a living working as a local tour guide and driver for

his dad (Gabby Concepcion) who is also the town mayor that already has a new family. Inigo Pascual and Tippy Dos Santos play his more privileged half-siblings.

Jackie (Kathryn Bernardo) is a rich rebellious girl from Manila who likes living on the edge after having grown up without her mother (Lorna Tolentino) who left for the States when her marriage fell apart.

When Jackie’s mom decides to bring her along for a medical mission in an Aeta village in Tarlac, Kiko is tasked to help her become more compassionate. But Jackie tries her best to trick him so she can escape back to the city.

More than the “kilig” scenes and the numerous memorable lines in the movie, Crazy Beautiful You has got to be Kathniel’s most challenging big screen roles to date because of the depth of acting the characters require. The layers of emotions in both teens was complex because of their complicated family history.

Jackie's (Kath) dramatic confrontation scene with her estranged mom (Lorna) were heartfelt and raw, as any child who grew up without a parent knows. DJ was a revelation in his subtle yet poignant scenes as the selfless son who never gave his parents any heartache. We bet seeing DJ in this light will make it hard for anyone to leave the theater with a dry eye. His scenes with half-brother (Inigo) was also an

interesting element in the storyline because he had to show a deep inner conflict between his dedication to his family and the girl he falls in love with.

DJ and Kath's interaction with the younger members of the cast which included two young Aeta girls were also memorable because of the genuine connection they projected onscreen.

Crazy Beautiful You is more than just a feel good “kilig vibes” kind of movie. This Kathniel movie will teach you many lessons about life, love, and growing up. Crazy Beautiful You proves that love for family extends beyond blood and that holding on to pain from the past will keep you from en

Magsu-showbiz na ba siya after Mr International?

“Hindi, eh!” mabilis niyang sagot. “Ano pa rin, priority ko pa rin ang PNP kasi may mga schedule din ako sa PNP. Yung showbiz, kapag may free time lang talaga. PCR (Police Community Relation) officer na kasi ako ngayon, parang PR ng PNP. Bale sa office na lang ako, hindi na ako nagtatrabaho sa field.

“Ang trabaho ko ngayon is to promote PNP kapag may mga TV guestings ako o kapag pumupunta ako ng mga probinsiya, do’n sa mga office namin do’n sa PNP... nagsasalita ako, aatend ako ng flag raising. Marami pang puwedeng gawin para kahit papaano ay ma-inspire ko ang mga kapulisan,” kuwento ni Neil.

Idinagdag dn ni Neil na kaya hindi pa siya puwedeng mag-showbiz ay dahil may kontrata siyang dapat i-fulfill sa Mr. International at kailangan pa niyang mag-travel sa iba’t ibang bansa to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Sanay na ba siya sa atensyong ibinibigay sa kanya ngayon ng mga babae at bading na hindi maiwasang magnasa sa kanya?

“Medyo hindi pa... Pero so far, okey naman, magaganda naman yung mga reaksyon nila kasi natutuwa pa nga sila kasi may ganito pa lang pulis.

“Don sa part na may nag-a-admire o yon ngang sabi mo, may nagnanasa, sa tingin ko normal lang naman ‘yon, eh. Okey lang naman ‘yon. Wala naman akong nakikitang masama do’n.

“Saka flexibile naman ako, eh. Sanay naman ako sa ganyan kasi taga-Tondo ako. Lumaki ako na nakikita ang iba’t ibang ugali ng mga tao,” katwiran pa niya.

Eh, how about indecent proposals ng mga bading, paano ba niya ito ihahandle if ever?

“Ah, wala pa naman (laughs). Friendship lang ang maio-offer ko sa kanila.

Takot lang nila sa akin,” pabiro niyang dagdag.

“Sasabihin ko din na puwede bang magkaibigan na lang tayo kesa sa mga ganyang intensyon mo sa akin... saka, sumasahod pa naman ako, may trabaho pa naman ako,” natatawa pa niyang hirit.

Ibinahagi rin ni Neil ang sekreto ng kanyang magandang pangangatawan sa PUSH. “Simple lang naman. parang training ko no’n sa PNP, Pagkagising, exercise muna bago almusal. Exercise muna ako kahit 5 or 10 minutes mag-push up agad ako at sit-ups muna ako, okey na ‘yon. Tapos bago matulog, pag may time ako, kahit pagod ako, magpu-push-up pa rin ako para ma-stretch ko lang yung muscle ko, Okay na ‘yon tapos matutulog na ako. Masarap matulog ng pagod, talagang isang pikit lang ng mata mo, tulog ka na.

“Sa pagkain, siyempre yung mga bawal di ko kinakain—mga junk foods. Ako kasi, hindi rin talaga ako nagra-rice, yung carbs kinukuha ko sa kamote, brown rice... ganun lang,” say pa niya.

Samantala, proud si Neil na maging celebrity endorser ng Teceruma Spa and Salon na nag-o-offer ng cosmetic acupuncture. Ayon sa kanya, malaki ang suportang ibinigay sa kanya ng Teceruma kahit nu’ng panahong sumasali pa lang siya sa local competiton dito sa bansa hanggang maging Mr. International title holder na siya.

Haranista and three-chair turner Jason Dy wins The Voice of the Philippines Season 2.

In a tough battle with Team Apl D Ap's Alisah Bonaobra, Jason garnered 52.94% of the votes.

Earlier on the show, Team Lea Salonga's Leah Patricio and Team Bamboo's Rence Rapanot exited the show after garnering the least number of votes from last Saturday's show, leading to a final showdown between Jason and Alisah.

Jason then continued with his bid for the title and sang a duet with his coach Sarah Geronimo. He also sang Ariel Rivera's "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" as his finale piece.

"Napakahirap makahanap ng artist na hindi kinakailangang bumirit para lang ma-touch ang puso mo habang kumakanta siya. That is Jason, that is special about Jason. He is the voice of today, he is a world-class talent, and his voice deserves to be heard all over the world," Sarah said in her speech minutes before the winner was announced on the show.

The Butuan native won P2M in cash, a business franchise, a music instrument package, an Asian tour package, a house and lot, a brand new car and a recording and management contract with MCA Universal.

Jason Dy was present during the auditions of The Voice Kids season 2 held during the Grand Kapamilya Audition Caravan at the Araneta Coliseum and he could not help but admire the courage and confidence of the young singers.

He stressed the value of patience, recalling how long he waited to be given an opportunity. He shared that he auditioned during the first installment of The Voice of the Philippines, but did not make it to the blind auditions. However, he said that singing is really his calling so he did not give up. So he came back in the second season where he eventually emerged as champion.

He said that the children seemed more carefree than the adults. “Bilib din ako sa confidence ng mga bata kasi at that age, hindi ko pa kaya yan eh.

Mahiyain pa ako at that age. Parang medyo recently ko lang nakuha yung self-confidence ko talaga so bilib na bilib ako sa batang hindi nahihiyang ipakita yung talento nila,” he said. He added that their confidence in themselves and the fact that they already know what they want to do in life early on are inspiring.

He revealed what qualities he would look for in the aspirants. These included the person’s vocal quality, uniqueness, confidence, and how he/she carries himself/herself. “Minsan kasi may mga singers na kahit hindi ganoon ka-pitch perfect pero may character saka may potential, yun yung hinahanap namin,” he said, adding that it is a learning process.

Meanwhile, Jason, who performed during the coronation night of the Binibining Pilipinas 2015, revealed that the course of his life changed significantly when he won The Voice season 2.

“Naging fast-paced yung buhay ko. Everyday laging may bagong opportunity, laging may bagong blessing like yung mga guestings sa mga TV shows na dating pinapanood ko lang tapos yung mga hinahangaan kong mga singers dati, kasabayan ko na. Nakakasama ko na sa mga duets, yun nakakatuwa. Tapos yung mga tao lalapit sa’yo, magpapapicture. Nakakatuwa kasi hindi ko inexpect na dadating ako sa point na ganito (mula) sa pagkanta-kanta ko ilang taon,” he said, adding that it’s all a matter of God’s timing.

He then gave some advice for aspiring singers.

“Kailangan lang talaga ng perseverance at saka tiwala sa sarili. If you believe na magaling ka saka alam mo na may talento ka, wag mong pakinggan yung mga negative na nagsasabi sa ’yo na hindi mo kaya o hindi makakatulong sa ’yo yung pagkantakanta mo. Kung talagang dream mo yan, kailangan mong pagsikapan, kailangan mong pagtrabahuhan at kailangan mong magdasal talaga kay Lord saka mag-antay.”

Jason also shared that there were also times when he doubted himself. “May mga times na nag-doubt din ako, na talagang worthy, deserving ba ko na nasa competition. Pero may mga times na kahit ako mismo hindi ako nag-believe sa sarili ko, may mga taong naniniwala sa ’yo so you also have to believe in yourself,” he said, adding that he/she has to give his/her 100%. Also, Jason said, “Yung instrument mo, yung pagkanta mo, bigay ni God yun eh so kailangan mong ibalik sa Kanya. Glorify His name through your music.”

Remembering more about his journey on The Voice, Jason shared his biggest lesson from his Coach Sarah Geronimo. “Sing from the heart. Kasi, maraming magagaling na singers dito sa Pilipinas.

Actually, in my opinion talaga, the Philippines is the capital of singers all over the world. So, iba yung magaling ka lang kumanta, maganda lang yung boses mo. Iba yung pag nakikinig ka sa isang singer, nararamdaman mo yung kanta so you have to sing from the heart. You have to sing to express, not to impress, yun yung natutunan ko kay coach.

At saka, relax. Enjoyin lang yung performance kasi nakikita ng tao yan eh. At ease ka, at home ka sa performance mo, magreresonate yan so yun yung laging advice sa ’kin ni coach,” he shared.

What’s next for Jason Dy? He said that he is taking one step at a time and that he is ready to accept any opportunity that the management will give him.

He is also looking forward to having an album and composing songs. “Gusto ko sana maparinig sa mga tao yung music ko.”

He added that he also wants to promote the album nationwide so he can travel around the country. He also said that he wants to come home to his province, Butuan City. “Gusto ko umuwi ng probinsya namin sa Butuan City para magpasalamat at maghomecoming concert at saka ayun, more opportunities and just more singing,” he conclud

“Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala parang hindi pa rin siya totoo hindi pa rin nag-sink in, I’m just very thankful at maraming, maraming salamat sa lahat ng nag vote, nag kampanya, nag effort, lahat ng naniniwala sa akin.

Kay Coach at syempre kay God na ibinigay niya sa akin itong blessing na ito, hindi ko ‘to inexpect. In God’s time talaga, matagal na ako naghihintay ng chance. Hindi ko naman talaga inisip na aabot ako sa stage na ito pero I’m very thankful and humbled by this opportunity.”

Muling lumabas sa stage si Coach Sarah na umiiyak din during the show habang kinakanta ni Jason ang kanyang winning song na “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin” naniniwala daw kasi siya sa talento at husay na ipinakita ng kanyang alaga.

“Ang galing galing din kasi ni Alisah pero talaga nga naman sabi ko napaka hirap maghanap ng artist na hindi na kailangan bumirit para lang ma-touch ang puso mo kapag kumakanta sila, yun eh,” sabi ni Sarah.

Naniniwala naman si Coach Sarah na malayo ang mararating ni Jason.

“Jason has his own voice, hindi mo maririnig sa iba at talagang pang world class kapag pinakinggan mo pwede mo isabay kahit kanino. World class talent siya. Ini expect ko kanina yung worst na eh, hindi ako nag expect ng kahit ano kaya sobrang gulat na gulat ako nang pangalan niya ang tawagin nanghina ako kanina,” sabi ng Popstar Royalty.

Nag share naman ng trivia si Jason na pareho na sila ng kanyang coach na produkto rin ng talent search. March 1 din kasi ng manalo noon si Sarah Geronimo sa Star for a Night contest.

“Gusto ko batiin si Coach Sarah ng Happy Anniversary, kasi pareho kami March 1 nanalo sa sinalihan namin na contest. Sabay kami mag anniversary next year. Salamat talaga kay Coach Sarah sa pagtitiwala sa akin.”

Simpleng simple at nakakatuwa ang unang naisip na gawin ni Jason matapos ang competition.

“Kakain po ako ng ice cream kasi hindi pa po ako kumakain ng ice cream simula ng mag live shows, so ngayon po pwede na, kakain ako matamis at ng maraming ice cream.”

• DIET SECRET “I try to make it a resolution now to try and eat dessert as a reward, not as part of a meal. Because sometimes there are a lot of people that are very generous like they bring me a cake at taping and then I don’t cook so that ends up being my breakfast. It ends up being my meal so I’m actually going into the process na ang cake, ang ice cream is actually a dessert as a reward. I haven’t gone to the gym. I still run and bike, but I’ve never

been a fan of the gym. For some people it works but I love being outside and if I do that enough then I can reward myself with food (laughs).”

• NEW WORKOUT YOU WANT TO TRY “My friends have gone to Thailand to do Muay Thai for like a month or two months.

I want to do that. I won’t be able to do two months pero siguro a whole week. You just wake up in the morning, you actually stay in the Muay Thai gym, your just immersed in the whole Muay Thai culture so I want to do that.”

• FITNESS ROUTINE “I work out three times a day kasi I’m older now so my metabolism is a lot slower so I have to work harder. So I do a TRX workout when I wake up and then heavy lifting in the afternoon and then I go straight to core kinesis.”

• FITSPIRATION ”If I have work I just do the TRX and work out my abs. I have a TRX at home.

I read about it and aside from that I used to do a lot of body weight at home so nakakatulong and the TRX is better. It works out my core simultaneously with my abs and all my body parts. Its a perfect thing to have at home if you have a very busy schedule.”

• DIET SECRET “My diet now is paleo. Everything is grilled. I don’t have starch, I don’t have carbs. I like meat and then aside from loving meat, it’s not as drastic. Paleo works for girls and boys but I think for me it’s a caveman diet. Your not frying anything, your grilling everything and it works.”

• FITSPIRATION “Pag pagod naman ako hindi ako nago-workout pag sobrang puyat ako kasi siyempre feeling ko kawawa naman na pagod na pagod na yung katawan ko so mag-rest lang muna ako pag ganun. Ang workout ko naman three times a week pag andito ako sa Pinas. Doon naman parang almost everyday.”

• FITNESS ROUTINE “I do boxing, weightlifting and basketball so umiikot yung pagexercise ko sa tatlong bagay na yun. Boxing ever since kasi nung time kasi na hindi na ako makapag-basketball k a s i di ba pag maglalaro ka nun kailangan mo ng kalaro, team sport kasi siya. So naghanap ako ng ibang sport na pangalternate ko sa basketball na puwede ko gawin kahit ako lang mag-isa. I’ve been boxing for about seven or eight years now. Nag-start ako ng meron akong isang trainer tapos along the way nung naaral ko na yung sport, natuto na ako, nakapag-compete na din ako.

Nakakaikot-ikot na ako sa gym na halimbawa nag-tra-travel ako sa Metro Manila, nakaka-visit na ako sa iba’t ibang boxing gym kasi kaya ko ng mag-workout na ako lang magisa.”

• FITSPIRATION ”Malaking factor talaga sa akin is work. Among the celebrities spotted at the grand event were Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Enrique Gil, Liza Soberano, Inigo Pascual, Erich Gonzales, Daniel Matsunaga, James Reid, Nadine Lustre, Billy Crawford, Coleen Garcia, Janella Salvador, Jerome Ponce, Sam Concepcion, John Lapus, Pokwang and Kim Chiu.

Rayver Cruz, who was recently linked to the debutant, shared his birthday wish for Julia. “Alam nating long way to go pa pero very important itong day na ito para sa kanya so more blessings. Napakabuti niyang tao at napakabuti niyang kaibigan so alam kong lahat ng pangarap niya matutupad niya,” he said.

Meanwhile, Enchong Dee, hopes that Julia will star in more hit projects on TV soon. “I think lahat naman sasabihin na we want her to be happy, siguro more on her projects kasi after Mirabelle hindi pa natin siya nakikita so gusto ko siyang makita ulit sa teleserye,” he relayed.

Richard Gomez, who attended the event with his wife Lucy Torres and daughter Julianna, also extended his wishes for the debutant. “I am so happy for Julia and she’s 18 years old and dalaga na siya. She’s growing up to be such a beautiful young woman, I wish her the best,” she said.

Miss World Megan Young wished Julia more blessings as she welcomes a new chapter in her life. “My wish for Julia is she keeps her feet on the ground, that she will have more blessings when it comes to her career and since pwede na siyang mag-boyfriend, I hope she finds a man who will treat her right,” she said.

Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, who also came with her hubby Anthony Pangilinan and their kids, also said well-wishes for Julia.

JULIA BARRETTO DENIES RIVALRY WITH LIZA SOBERANO & JANELLA SALVADOR: ‘I CANNOT SEE THEM AS MY ENEMY’ Julia Barretto admitted it was a challenge to do one-year planning for a one-night affair. “I was actually really involved sa planning, preparations, everything. We started planning April of last year. Ako talaga mismo yung nagsabi that we should start planning kasi ‘pag malapit na, mas nakaka-stress. And true enough, it’s almost been one year since we’ve planning pero medyo na-se-stress kami. The theme was my choice, the feel, the ambiance, everything. Kunwari ‘pag food tasting andun rin ako. I really want to be hands-on kasi,” she shared.

After her debut Julia admitted she is looking forward to a new regular acting project, “It will be under Dreamscape and to be announced soon they told me. Pero I can’t announce anything yet now.”

Now that she is legally an adult, Julia said it is not impossible for her to want to do more mature roles. “It’s something to meet with kasi I can’t speak too soon kasi wala pa naman. Pag nandiyan na pag-iisipan mo talaga kasi yung opportunities come and go, you have these embrace these. That’s why we have Star Magic. We talk about it with them,” she admitted.

When it comes to kissing scenes she said her mom has full discretion on that matter. “Eh di hindi pa puwede (laughs). Or siguro depends din sa comfortability ko din talaga to do these scenes. Kasi ako rin naman yung gagawa eh,” she added.

Her first movie Para Sa Hopeless Romantic also recently wrapped up shooting the week before her debut.

“It’s a story within a story. If you’ve read the book maiintindihan niyo. Sa story na ginagawa ni Nadine Lustre, her character Becca. Kami ni Inigo Pascual yung gaganap sa characters sa story niya. Never kaming magkakaencounter dun sa kanila,” she explained.

Even though she is not the lead character in the movie, Julia said there is an advantage in just taking on a supporting role in her first big screen outing. “There’s nothing wrong with being a support role. I think what’s important is kung gaano mo kagaling gagampanan yung character na binigay sa iyo, yung impact na maiiwan sa audience once they leave the cinema. This is my first film so I don’t see anything wrong. At least walang pressure sa first movie ko (laughs),” she said.

As a member of a very controversial showbiz family, Julia said she has learned to live with the intrigues and negativity thrown at her, including being compared to her aunts or peers in the industry. “I’m also human siyempre nakaka-affect din siya. Siyempre I have feelings too. But then I chose to be strong and I went on with my life. I can’t let them dictate how I’m going to feel. Siguro number one is because I grew up na nakasanayan ko. It was something I expected when I entered the industry. Along the way you realize that these negative issues don’t actually last forever. At some point they end. They don’t even last a month. So parang I choose to be strong and positive and I always choose to be the better person. Siguro depende lang yun sa perspective niyo,” she said.

When asked about her rumored rivalry with Liza Soberano as being one reason why her family has conflict now, Julia wanted to put the issue to rest. “You know what guys, oh my gosh, so far ito na talaga yung pinakanakakatawang rumor na ginawa nila na dahilan bakit nag-away yung family ko. Sorry ha, napakababaw po talaga.

Bakit di ba? (laughs). Ang dami-daming puwedeng pag-awayan, bakit yun? Sana may relevance man lang sa pamilya namin, sa mga pinagdaanan namin. Ang layo di ba?” she shared.

Even though some people think she and her Star Circle batch mate are not okay because Liza’s career is on the rise right now, Julia said she has no ill-feelings about it. “Good for her. I’m happy for her. But that doesn’t mean I’m competing with her. It doesn’t mean that she’s my enemy. Magkasabay kami nagsimula. We were launched together so pag nakakita ka ng batch mate mo na nakasabay mo to strive to where you guys are now, hindi ka magagalit eh. You’re going to be more of proud and happy for her. And I’m genuinely happy for her. She’s doing great. Forevermore is doing great. I have nothing bad to say about that,” she added.

Even when it comes to Oh My G! star Janella Salvador, Julia clarified that they are all good friends even off-cam and there is no professional rivalry between any of them. “That’s not possible. JULIA BARRETTO ON INIGO PASCUAL: ‘HE DESERVES TO BE MY LAST DANCE’

The 18-year-old actress admitted that she has not experienced being totally in love yet. “Na-in love? That’s such a deep word, such a deep feeling. Siguro I cannot safely say that I’ve been in love.” As an adult, Julia said she does not know exactly what to expect on how to act. “I really don’t know but so far sa mga naririnig kong what to expect is more responsibilities, they expect you to be more mature and wiser in making decisions,” she said.

For her grand debut, Julia Barretto made sure that her Para Sa Hopeless Romantic leading man Inigo Pascual would not only be invited but would have a special part in her 18 roses. “Inigo is my last dance. Ako yung personal na pumili kay Inigo because he’s become such a good friend of mine talaga, somebody I can trust siguro my entire life. I feel and he’s going to be my partner-in-crime this whole year. And feeling ko for the next years to come so parang I feel that he deserves to be my last dance,” she admitted. Also invited to the affair but will not be part of her 18 roses is Julian Estrada. Julian once publicly apologized to Julia during the latter part of last year when he admitted they were a couple. “He’s invited. He’s actually going I heard. No, kumpleto na [yung 18 roses]. May 19 candles na ako, ayoko ng mag-19 roses! Baka malito yung tao,” she explained.

The pretty mestiza admitted that lately she and Inigo have gotten to know each other better while making the movie which just wrapped up shooting last week. “Special friend because iba si Inigo talaga. You will see kung gaano ka-genuine yung tao hindi dahil lalake siya ganito siya, it’s the way he was raised. Mabait siya, gentleman siya eh. Bihira lang makahanap ng kaibigan na ganun eh,” she shared.

When asked if she would ever see themselves as being more than friends, Julia said she is more focused on her career than on taking things to the next level. “Parang never ko pa naisip yun. RECONCILIATION WITH DAD DENNIS PADILLA IS NOT A PUBLICITY STUNT

fter reconciling with her father Dennis Padilla less than a week ago, Julia Barretto admits she has been given another big reason to look forward to her debut #JustJulia on March 10 at the Makati Shangrila hotel. Julia says she decided to break the ice with her dad by personally handing him the invitation to her party.

“Surprise kasi yun talaga. Gusto ko na as if walang nangyari. Parang ‘Here’s your invitation, ganyan.

So are you going? What’s your outfit?’ siyempre shocked siya. (laughs).

Another issue Julia finally clarified was if she was still going to push through with petitioning to change her last name.

The pretty teen candidly told the media, “Wow we haven’t even talked about this as a family. It’s the first time I’m speaking about it that I’ve made a decision to share it first with you guys I feel that right now there’s really no need to change my last name. I’m going to keep my dad’s last name.

But siyempre that’s my screen name na talaga Julia Barretto. I don’t believe that if I do that he’ll be happy. Why would I do anything that would make my father unhappy di ba? I’m taking it into consideration.”

During the #JustJulia presscon, Julia got emotional when asked to react on the issue that reconciling with her dad was merely a publicity stunt to boost her image. The mestiza actress was clearly hurt by the accusation.

“How can they even think that way? How can you think that a young child wants to get everything okay again with her own father just for publicity? I can’t even embrace that thought. It’s very false. He’s my dad, why wouldn’t I want to be okay with my dad and have him there sa special day ko? I made up with him because I want to be okay with my own father, not for anybody,” she explains.

Since her parents split in 2007, Julia says that she does not wish for her parents to reconcile anymore as they are already leading very separate lives.

“No, parang hindi ko siya birthday wish kasi my dad’s happy with his partner, his new son who’s turning three, my mom is happy with her children, us. Bakit ako ang tinatanong ninyo? Hindi ko naman relationship yan. I’m seeing they’re both happy with their own lives and wherever they are happy, I am happy there,” she states.

Julia did admit that she was happy her dad finally allowed her to entertain suitors. “Oo nga, na-shock ako dun. Ang sarap niyang pakinggan kasi before when we were kids pa lang, it’s a no-no, bawal boyfriend, bawal ligaw. So nung napanuod ko yung interview niya I was so shocked na okay na sa kanya bigla. I was very touched. Pero wala pa naman so okay lang,” she says.

BANGS GARCIA ON PHIL YOUNGHUSBAND: ‘WE DIDN’T WORK OUT’

Bangs Garcia confirmed with Push.com.ph that she is no longer going out with Azkals football player Phil Younghusband since before December of last year.

“Phil and I were better off as friends. It’s one thing that I’ve learned in 2014 na it doesn’t mean na both of you are nice in a relationship na you are going to work out as a couple, sometimes you’re better off as friends.

Kasi ano eh for you to work out as a couple you have to connect mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically, dapat in sync kayo eh. We were never committed, we tried, pero hindi eh, ganon talaga eh, yeah so we stop dating bago pa mag December,” she revealed.

Bangs stressed that they tried to make it work but they decided to part ways because they figured there was no “spark” between the two of them. “We dated eh, we were somehow looking forward to being a real couple but then wala eh, wala ‘yung certain spark na ‘yun. You have to have that certain spark para maging couple kayo pero parang okay kami as friends eh, mas better as friends.”

This guy who is inspiring me right now I met him on January 2 to be exact. He’s a businessman from London who happens to be a half British also.”

Bangs underscored that she is still in the getting to know each other stage with the guy. She said that she doesn’t commit easily when it comes to relationships.

“We’re still casual dating pa rin. I don’t commit that easily, hindi basta-basta ganon. For me kailangan kinikilala talaga agad ‘yung guy pero so far, so good pero ang maganda dito, itong guy na dini-date ko ngayon we’re like best friends.”

She said that the best thing about the new guy is that she can openly talk anything with him. She shared that they usually have endless talks even on Skype. “We can talk [about] anything under the sun, anytime, anywhere even Skype sometimes for five to six hours.” She remarked that everything happened naturally between the two of them. ”It just happened, we didn’t force anything, ‘yon ‘yung pinakamaganda don like wow easy flowing lang lahat, we’re both light-spirited parang I’m really happy. The Revilla family’s spokesperson Atty. Raymund Fortun likewise denied rumors that the former Be Careful With My Heart actress and Jolo have parted ways.

“Hindi po sila split ni Jodi. Nakikita ko talaga at sobra pong nagmamahalan ang dalawa,” he said.

According to him, Jodi has spent a lot of time beside Jolo since he figured in a gun incident last weekend.

KYLA REACTS TO BEING TAGGED AS ‘QUEEN OF R&B’

Kyla said that she is happy to be part of the ABS-CBN family. After transferring to the network, the singer said that she felt welcomed by everyone the moment she step foot in the ABS-CBN compound. “Masaya kasi dito it’s more of kasi parang pamilya talaga like kahit hindi ko kilala ang iba like si Lucky (Manzano) but he’s talking to me, nagbibiro siya, ganon sila na parang family na ‘pag nandito ka ganito yung na feel ko,” he said.

Kyla recently performed on the ASAP stage for its 20th anniversary celebration. “I feel really, really great about it. I am so happy na it turned out na ‘yung performance namin parang nagustuhan naman ng crowd and I’m just really happy and thankful that they called me to be part of their 20th anniversary,” she shared.

The singer said that she did not have any difficulties adjusting when it comes to performing with the ASAP family. “Alam mo I didn’t expect na it would be that easy with the ASAP family because everyone is so nice, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I felt like I’ve been pet of every ASAP family na matagal na, ganon ‘yung feeling kasi everyone parang masarap sa feeling ko talaga na I’m part of this.”

Despite being part of a different network now, Kyla shared that her friends at her former network are still supportive of her. “Actually they are all very supportive, they are even texting me and I think they saw my performance. Sobra silang masaya for me. They were cheering for me.”

Now that she is being tagged as the country’s Queen of R&B, Kyla is nothing short but flattered. “It’s so flattering and I’m honored that they are calling me that. I don’t know if I deserve to be called the Queen of R&B but I’m just really happy and I hope maka-deliver ako at ma-meet ko ‘yung expectations ng tao even ‘yung mga fans na they support me all the way. ormer Anime member John Wayne Sace got to showcase his talent in dancing once again when he was invited to the ASAP 20th anniversary celebration. The former Kapamilya star said that he felt thankful to be given the opportunity to perform on the ASAP stage again. “Sobrang nagpapasalamat ako dahil kahit na sa matagal na wala na kami dito sa ASAP, na wala na kami sa Star Magic, naaalala pa rin nila kami,” he said.

He added that it was such a joy to be reunited with the other members of Anime even though that they were not complete. “Ang ka-grupo ko sobrang nagi-enjoy ako at sobrang nagpapasalamat ako dahil kahit na hindi kami kompleto at hindi kami nabuo at least nandiyan pa rin sila.”

John Wayne dedicated his time to his family after he left the limelight. He is now a proud father. According to him, despite the many challenges that being a family man brings, he feels fulfilled in everything that he do as father.

“Naging busy lang siguro ako sa family ko at naging taong bahay ako para sa anak ko kasi alam mo ako ‘yung walang trabaho, ang may trabaho ‘yung girlfriend ko na ka-live in ko, so sa lahat ng gawaing-bahay ‘yun na lang ‘yung masusukli ko sa kanya.”

He added, “Masaya, malungkot na sobrang nakakakaba na nakaka-excite [ang maging ama] na minsan bandang huli na masasabi mo hindi naman ibibigay ‘tong ganitong mga pagsubok, ganitong problema na walang dahilan. Lahat siguro, lahta ng nangyayari sa buhay ay may dahilan.”

John Wayne said that he wants to do a showbiz comeback and that is what he is focusing on at the moment. “Magfo-focus muna ako sa trabaho kasi sobrang ngayon lang ako nakakabalik so kung merong mga go-see pinupuntahan ko talaga.”

May mga advice lang siya and tama lang naman kasi parang rini-remind niya ako na binigyan ako ng opportunity and hindi lahat ng kabataan nabibigyan ng opportunity na ganito. Focus muna sa work. Siya rin naman nag-advise. Siguro ngayon andun lang ako sa point na siyempre family pa rin talaga. Ako kasi ‘pag nagbigay ako ng time and effort, all out so gusto ko pag aabot na sa ganung point na magkakaroon ng relationship or anything, alam ko dapat sa sarili ko na settled na yung family ko,” she said.

As of now, Julia refuses to acknowledge or divulge any potential suitors. “Takot sila sa akin (laughs). Wala po. Hindi naman suplada pero ganun siguro yung dating kasi pinangungunahan ko na, para ma-feel na nila na wala and sumusuko na din naman,” she added.

In fact, the 19-year-old actress said she considers Coco as her standard of what an ideal man should be. “I think yes. Kasi kung paano siya

sa family, kung paano siya sa katrabaho niya, iba siya eh. Crush ko siya (laughs). Iba yung paghanga ko sa kanya. Siguro hindi kasi ako mabilis ma-amaze sa isang lalake. Pero sa kanya na-a-amaze ako. Buong pagkatao niya. Ang hirap i-express kasi parang hindi lang siya bilang artista eh, bilang aktor magagalingan kundi kung paano siya sa buhay, kung paano siya bilang tao, bilang apo, bilang pamilya,” she explained.

During the presscon, Coco admitted he could not portray his role convincingly unless he really felt something real for his leading lady. When pressed for a reaction about this, Julia couldn’t help but blush. “Hindi ko alam (laughs). Nahihiya [ako]. Hindi ko alam, ang hirap naman. Grabe nape-pressure ako sa tanong niyo! Yung character niya walang babaeng hindi ma-i-in love lalo na na pag nakilala mo siya. I have mixed emotions.

Nahihiya ako na siyempre katabi ko lang kasi siya nun,” she recalled.

After working on a couple of projects together, Julia said her admiration for her leading man has grown even more. “Wala siyang category pero saludo ako sa kanya bilang lalake, bilang tao. Parang wala akong masabi sa kanyang masamang tinapay kasi ‘di ba sa umpisa ‘pag nakilala mo na ang isang tao sa umpisa lang yan? Pero sa kanya sa tagal naming nagkasama, nakikilala ko siya lalo, parang wala pa akong nakikitang hindi okay,” she admitted.

With her 20th birthday coming up on March 19, Julia said she just wants to have a lowkey celebration with her loved ones. “Yun lang bonding lang sa kapatid ko. Kasi yung kapatid ko sa 12 naman so talagang magluluto ako, magbe-bake ako for them. Bonding lang together na hindi sa labas. Ayoko kasi mag-celebrate sa labas, family lang talaga,” she shared.

Will she expect any gift from Coco? The FilGerman beauty saidshe does not need anything material. “Okay na ako sa friendship. Yung thought pa lang na ina-advise-an niya ako, nakakausap niya ako, okay na. Before yes po [may binigay na siya]. Apart from filming his upcoming Star Cinema movie, Coco Martin admits he is enjoying being paired again with Julia Montes in the weekend fantasy series Wansapanataym Presents: Yamishita’s Treasures.

“Gusto ko kasi itong ginagawa ko kaya hindi ako nahihirapan,” he admits.

The 33-year-old actor says he doesn’t mind rumors constantly linking him to Julia because they are good friends even off-cam.

“Masaya ito kasi siyempre kami ni Juls mas lalong gumanda yung pagsasamahan namin unang una bilang magkatrabaho, pangalawa bilang magkaibigan and then kung darating man talaga ang pagkakataon na kami ang inihahanda ng panahon para sa isa’t isa siguro naman napakasuwerte ko bilang lalake dahi napakaganda at napakatalented ni Julia,” he shares.

Coco says he and his younger co-star also share the same values when it comes to family which is also one of the things that has brought them even closer. They both agree that career should be prioritized over romance for the meantime. But from the looks of it, Coco indirectly admitted that ending up with Julia is an open possibility for him.

“Alam na rin natin kung gaano rin niya kamahal ang pamilya niya. Ako sabi ko ayoko lang madaliin ang time kasi nga kung saan ako nagmula at kumbaga gusto ko lang samantalahiin ang lahat ng opportunity at blessings na dumarating sa buhay ko. Kumbaga gusto ko muna pagtuunan ng pansin ang pamilya ko at ang trabaho ko. ‘Pag dumating talaga ang pagkakataon na heto na, talagang ma-ri-realize ko na nagkaka-edad na ako at kailangan ko na lumagay sa tahimik, siguro naman pag si Julia nandun ay napakasuwerte ko.”

The Wansapanataym star also stressed that he will always put his family’s needs above his own.

“Sabi ko, kagaya ng mga magulang ko, kagaya ng lola ko, mas inisip nila ang pamilya nila na makita nila na maayos. Kumbaga yun lang yung mga bagay na sinusuklian ko mula nung bata ako. Mas gusto ko na muna i-priority muna yung pamilya ko ngayon tapos siguro pag dating ng mahaba-habang panahon iintindihin ko rin yung para sa sarili ko kapag medyo maayos na, kapag settled na ako,” he explains.

Coco says he is giving himself at least two more years before considering getting into another relationship or even marriage.

“Iniisip ko siguro 35 to 40 years old. Kasi yung mga kabataan ngayon hindi naman nagmamadali eh. Nakakatuwa nga kasi iniisip na natin yung kinabukasan, yung future. At saka ngayon hindi na yung tradisyunal na lalake lang ang nagtratrabaho. Ngayon pati dapat ang babae kahit papano kumbaga may magandang career, may maayos na trabaho para pagpapabuti ng pagpapalaki ng pamilya nila.”

Even among his batchmates, Coco says if he will be one of the last to settle down, it won’t bother him at all.

“Siyempre yung mga batchmate ko nung high school at college parang ako na lang yata ang hindi pa lumalagay sa tahimik. Pero sabi ko naman may tamang panahon naman. Mas inaasikaso ko yung pamilya ko talaga eh. Sabi ko nga sana magkaroon ako kahit two years or three years para sa trabaho ko and then after that bubuohin ko na yung sarili ko.”

During a recent interview with John Lloyd Cruz, the Kapamilya actor admitted he wants to lie low from acting once he starts his own family. This sentiment is echoed by Coco as something he wants to do as well.

“Actually yun nga yung pinaghahandaan ko. Marami ang nagsasabi sa akin na ang sarap daw ng may baby. Totoo naman yun kasi nakikita ko ang pamangkin ko eh, kung gaano kasaya, pag nakikita mo sila pag pagod na pagod ka tapos nakikita mo silang naglalaro. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam.

Pero sabi ko mas magiging masarap sa pakiramdam pag nagka-pamilya na ako at pag may mga anak na ako pag mas may oras na ako para sa kanila. Parang ngayon mas pinaghandaan ko yung time ng pagpapamilya ko kes ayung parang sumubok pala ako sa isang sitwasyon na hindi pa ako handa. Tama si Lloydy dun na pag dumating na yung time na kami yung magkaka-pamilya siguro mas bibigyan na namin ng prioridad kahit papano yung pagpapamilya namin. Siyempre para ma-i-guide namin ng tama yung mga bata at magkaroon ako ng time para sa kasama ko,” he comments.

When asked if he considers Julia as ideal wife material, Coco didn’t take long to respond but explained why he still can’t explore that possibility.

“Puwede! (laughs). Sabi ko nga, ayokong madaliin ang lahat ng bagay, isa isa lang. And then ngayon siguro dahil mas nagiging matured ako, mas pinaghahandaan ko yung kinabukasan ko,” he says.

TONI GONZAGA APOLOGIZES TO THOSE SHE MAY HAVE OFFENDED DURING THE BB. PILIPINAS CORONATION NIGHT After numerous comments made rounds online and after she earned flack from netizens and showbiz personalities about her Binibining Pilipinas hosting stint last Sunday, Toni Gonzaga once and for all addressed the issue during the press conference of her new movie titled You’re My Boss at the ABS-CBN compound on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.

“This will be the first and last time that I will talk about this. We have all moved on from it, tapos na po ‘yung coronation night. We have already declared the winner.

There is no point of looking back and talking about it over and over again,” she stated.

The host-actress thanked her friends and the people from the industry who have showed her their support. “I don’t want to miss this opportunity to thank everyone, ‘yung mga friends ko po from the press, my friends in the industry who have been defending me and nagsasalita ng good and kind words sa akin, maraming, maraming salamat po. I really and truly appreciate that from the bottom of my heart.”

After months of battling stage 4 lung cancer, Jam Sebastian, one half of the YouTube sensation Jamich, passed away on Wednesday around 10:30 a.m.

Jam’s mother, Maricar Sebastian. posted an update on her Facebook account.

“The fight is over we lost the battle. My son Jam Fernando Sebastian just passed away 10:30 am March 4, 2015” An obviously pained Mich Liggayu, Jam’s fiancee, posted about it on her Facebook account. According to her the family decided to just wait for his medication to run out.

“Hindi ko kayang tignan ‘yung ginagawa sa kanya. Na inaayos na siya. Ang sakit marinig na napaguusapan na kung ano ang susuotin niya,” she wrote.

“Pray tayo ulit. But this time mag thank you tayo kasi magiging happy na si Jam with God. Di na siya mahihirapan. Let’s pray na mapuno siya ng love and peace. Angels of God, embrace Jam. Protect him. Lead him, God,” Liggayu added.

She bid her love goodbye by saying, “We love you Jam Fernando Sebastian.

I’m sure magiging sobrang ganda and happy ng birthday celebration mo sa Heaven. Sana madream kita na ipaalam mo lang samin na masaya ka na and healthy ulit with God. Thank you for everything… No words can explain.

Sebastian was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer during the first quarter of 2014 and had been confined in the hospital since then.

Prior to this incident, the 28-year-old online star had been in a critical condition which led him to be on life support starting from the afternoon of February 26.

In a sudden twist to his story, Sebastian woke up just hours later and even managed to tell his loved ones how much he loved them.

Upon hearing about his critical condition, several stars extended their prayers for him, such as Kris Aquino who even went to the hospital. Poundfor-pound boxing champ Manny Pacquiao, even took to his Instagram account to say a prayer for Jam. When he was still in a relatively better condition, other stars visited him at the hospital including his idol Vice Ganda and even Hayden Kho. Some weeks earlier, Sebastian’s mother told media that the internet star was already asking for a “mercy killing” and was losing hope because of his condition. His family refused to give in to his request.

GABBY CONCEPCION IS OPEN TO WORK AGAIN WITH SHARON CUNETA Gabby Concepcion is not passing up on the opportunity to work with his ex-wife and returning Kapamilya star Sharon Cuneta.

The Crazy Beautiful You actor expressed his excitement to work with Sharon just hours since the latter came home to ABS-CBN. “Actually naririnig ko na ‘yun eh. JUDY ANN SANTOS ADMITS SHE IS EXCITED TO WORK WITH RICHARD YAP IN A NEW SOAP

After focusing mostly on hosting last year on shows like I Do and Bet On Your Baby, Judy Ann Santos was happy to return to acting in Someone To Watch Over Me under Dreamscape. “I play Danny, a loving mother, loving wife, and isa akong NBI agent. In other words, perfect ako dito (laughs),” she said jokingly.

This is her second time to play a police officer after doing Basta’t Kasama Kita with Robin Padilla in 2004.

Juday admitted it was nice to feel the excitement of bringing to life another new and challenging role. “Sa bawat bagong project na gagawin ng isang artista, nandun yung nerbiyos, nandun yung excitement kasi you’ll be working with new people so at the same time you know at the end of the project you have new friends. So more than the nervousness, it’s the excitement na ang tindi yung sinusundan namin eh. Paano ba ito? (laughs)” she admitted during the Someone To Watch Over Me press announcement held last March 4 inside ABS-CBN. Although she admitted she enjoyed being a host last year, Juday said acting will always be her first love. Her last teleserye was Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala in 2013. “Bale nagkaroon lang talaga ng buhol-buhol na schedule with the projects for the taping of the teleserye last year. I was doing I Do and Bet On Your Baby at the same time so when they presented the teleserye to me last year wala talagang day na puwede ako mag-taping. So with Dreamscape we decided na 2015 na lang yung teleserye para fresh, at least yung first salvo would be back to the teleseryes,” she shared.

Juday admitted she would never have guessed she was going to be working with Be Careful With My Heart’s Richard Yap. “Hindi naman ako nagulat pero hindi ko kasi naisip that it would be possible. Oo nga naman, bakit naman hindi? Yun lang yung nasabi ko kasi at least fresh na fresh, hindi mo talaga iisipin and I’m excited to see kung ano yung magigIng resulta,” she recalled.

The 36-year-old actress said it has not been confirmed if there will be a romantic angle between them as the two lead characters in the show so it might be too early to call them the newest Kapamilya love team. “We can’t tell for now kung hanggang saan pupunta yung mga eksena. Juday said she is not too worried whether they will have onscreen chemistry. “I believe chemistry just happens eh. It happens through friendship, it happens through working with each other over time...

We will work for it but I guess huwag masyadong matindi kasi baka pag tinindihan namin maging mas seryoso masyado ang dating namin sa isa’t isa (laughs). Ano lang, I guess we’ll just let it be,” she admitted.

Viewers can expect Juday to be involved in action sequences in the show, but it does not mean she wants to become an action star. “Nagkakataon lang siguro. Siguro alam din ng Dreamscape na very physical akong tao and then nagkataon na yung Huwa Ka Lang Mawawala may advocacy kami na gustong ipakita at that time and ngayon it’s just for the character talaga. Ginusto namin na ipasok siya sa storya para sa mga kababaihan naman yun,” she said.

In fact, Juday said that she is still a staunch advocate of Krav Maga until this very day. “Someone invited me to their first Krav Maga, Fight Like a Girl, last year yung advocacy nila nagustuhan ko din naman kasi free seminar for women who want to learn self-defense and at until now I feel na kailangan ng mga kababaihan kung paano nila dedepensahan yung mga sarili nila so itinuloy ko yung pakikipag tie-up ko with them, with my foundation the Touch A Heart foundation kasi parang hindi ba dapat tayong lahat marunong kung paano natin dedepensahan ang mga sarili natin?” she said.

ristine Hermosa has long wanted to be back in front of the camera.

However, as she has previously stated, she would only do it provided that the right project is given to her.

But what is the right project anyway?

“Buong showbiz life ko, drama na ang ginagawa ko. Now I want something different,” she said in an interview at StarStudio magazine’s February issue.

She added, “It doesn’t have to be comedy, just something light and enlightening to watch. I want to be able to inspire people through what I do. ‘Yan ang matagal ko na sinasabi. I will return, anytime, as long as you give me a project that will uplift people’s spirits.”

Whether her comeback is happening anytime soon or not, what is sure is that it would be a gradual event.

“I want to take it slow, paisa-isa. I really want to but at the same time, I want something different from what I used to do,” she stressed.

Kristine points out that being a mother and a wife has gravely changed what she can and cannot do for showbiz.

“Before my time was my own, kahit kulang ako sa tulog, nakaktulog naman. I only had myself to think of, ngayon, pupuyatin mo ako, when I have a family to think about,” she said. “I need to be a wife and mother, then I have to take care of myself—hindi ko alam kung paano ko kakayanin lahat ‘yon.

I’ll go crazy! Baka magsulat na lang ako sa dingding.”

The former Pangako Sa ’Yo actress also pointed out that she wants something that won’t compromise not only her time with her family but also her morals.

“I told them I am looking for something that will offer viewers valuable lessons, hindi ‘yung puro drama na lang. Our life is full of drama as it is so I want to give people something they will find encouraging,” she said.

As someone who has become loved by her fans with her highly-dramatic characters such as Yna Macaspac, Kristine observed that drama has negative effect on its viewers.

“The tendency is for them to relate to the character and say na kaya sila inaapi kasi ganito talaga ang buhay. They will go into self-pity mode instead of realizing how powerful God is in their lives,” she said.

With the help of KyoChon presscon host and fellow Korean Sam Oh, Lee Min Ho answered questions from his fans and the press at the meet-and-greet event held in front of the Greenhills Theater branch. Fans showed up as early as ten hours before the program just to secure a good spot. The popular actor said he is happy to back for his fourth visit to Manila and this time as an endorser for something he also enjoys eating. “In Korea, KyoChon is a very, very popular and famous restaurant. In Korea, there are 950 branches all over the country. No matter where you go there is one so I am very, very happy to represent a brand that is so well known,” he shared.

Lee Min Ho is also starring in the action drama film Gangnam Blues which will hit Philippine theaters on March 4. He hopes his local fans will patronize the film, which will be dubbed in Tagalog when released in SM cinemas. “Because of the song ‘Gangnam Style,’ I feel like it will be a very familiar title for you. It’s opening in the Philippines on March 4. It’s set in the year 1970 and I am very, very confident that the message of the movie will be something that all of you will enjoy,” he said.

The 27-year-old actor also charmed the crowd when he was asked by Sam Oh what his favorite KyoChon memory was and he immediately answered, “Right this moment. This moment that just passed right now.” Lee Min Ho, who first did a concert in Manila in 2013, said he already wants to come back to the Philippines. “The last time I was here was for a concert. I prefer that. I like to perform for my fans. There’s no official decision yet with KyoChon but I hope that next time I meet all of you again I will be able to perform for all of you.”

fter making a surprise announcement on his Instagram account last January 23 about hosting Asia's Got Talent with Rovilson Fernandez, Marc Nelson revealed that getting the job was not as easy as he thought. “It was quite a long drawn out process and we were up against some of the best, brightest, talented folks not only throughout the region but throughout the world so we're extremely flattered first of all to be included in the same company as them in auditioning for the show. And to actually get it, that's huge,” he shared.

Rovilson admitted it is still sinking in that they are hosting the biggest talent search in the world. “Marc and I can attest that it wasn't easy getting to where we are today. We are flabbergasted, amazed, flattered and just really, really happy. And it's an absolute honor to be representing the Philippines. Because being with the best and brightest people in the region, these are the people who we watch on TV and to be representing the Philippines in an international show, we just couldn't be any more delighted for that. It was tough auditions,” he added.

Asia's Got Talent, which will start airing on March 12 on the cable channel AXN is also the same network which is home to The Amazing Race Asia which the pair joined in 2007. The two admit they are still overwhelmed with how grand a production the show is. “Our cameraman was British, our sound guy was Malaysian, our director for photography is Australian. So they've basically taken the best of the best and flown them all in to work on the show because it is such a big deal,” Marc shared. The lineup of judges for this season is also a who's who in showbiz starting with 16-time Grammy awardee David Foster, former Spice Girl Melanie C., Indonesian rock icon Anggun, and TaiwaneseAmerican pop idol Vanness Wu. “Even though they are absolute superstars sobrang bait sila. They will look you in the eye when they speak with you. They will give you all their attention one hundred percent. They're very, very nice. They don't act like their superstars. They're very accessible, very humble, open door policy, they're great. Interesting fact, Melanie C. actually has family in the Philippines,” Rovilson said.

Marc shared he admires that out of all the judges, it is Canadian musician David Foster who has really made an effort to connect to them as hosts. “They are a wonderful, wonderful group. They are all wonderful people. We had an opportunity to talk to them on-cam and off-cam and they are a great bunch. And we really like how David Foster really goes out of his way to include us, even if he's sitting down there in the judges corner, he'll throw a question to one side of the stage. They are great,” he explained.

Rovilson admits that the Pinoys are well represented in the competition but viewers will have to tune in to the show to find out more. “There were some Filipino acts and they were very impressive. We can't say anything else regarding that but you will be proud as Pinoys, you will have something to root for.”

Having been friends for a long time, the two hosts admitted their camaraderie is a big advantage in working in showbiz. “It's definitely an advantage so it's like working with friends. You can just bounce off each other quite naturally, you have similar sense of humor and there's just that instant comfort level of working together. And the great thing about this show is we have some really long hours but it feels like so much fun. At the end of the day everyone says, 'Wow that was a long day' but we're just like 'That was great fun!'” Marc admitted.

Rovilson said their friendship makes their tandem more fun to watch on the show. “It just doesn't feel like work basically. When I host with other hosts it feels like work. But when I'm with Marc it's just like, 'Hey let's hang out!' and our main goal always is just to have fun. And if we're having fun on stage then it resonates into the audience,” he said.

With Asia's Got Talent being the 63rd adaptation of the Guiness World Record-breaking hit Got Talent format created by Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment and co-produced by Fremantle Media, it has become officially the most successful reality TV format in history and currently airs in 186 countries. “They've got franchised in 65 different countries. It's a very well-known brand.

You're going to see people form completely different countries, completely different cultures all competing on the same stage.

You've got not only different cultures but different languages. This is being aired to 400 million households all over the world which is just enormous,” Marc admitted.

“She is not that kind of person. She’s the most giving... Nakita n’yo naman kung paano niya alagaan yung mga bagets niya, 'di ba -- sina Jonalyn (Viray), Aicelle (Santos), Kyla? She’s the same to any person and she’s very nurturing.

“It’s sad that people will try to spread rumors that are like that, pero kung papatulan ko naman yon, parang lalaki pa. Hindi naman totoo.”

Nabasa din daw ni Regine ang naturang blind item at may naging reaksyon din siya tungkol dito.

“Siyempre nasaktan siya kasi hindi naman totoo yon. But instead of explaining na nasaktan siya, alam ko nagdasal na lang siya. Kasi sabi ko nga sa kanya, alam mo we’re only answerable to God kasi kapag hindi ka doon tumingin, maaapektuhan ka talaga niyan.

Naapektuhan pa rin ba sila ng mga intriga sa showbiz?

“Sometimes, especially when they’re not true, especially when alam mong imbento lang. Kasi pag ang isang tao gumagawa ng ganung intriga, may problema eh, yung mga nag-i-invent, at dahil siyempre tao ka lang, natural na mahe-hurt ka. Basta ang masasabi ko lang, hindi ganu’n yung asawa ko,” pagdidiin pa ni Ogie.

Samantala, hanggang 2016 na lang ang kontrata ng singer-actor sa TV 5 at ayon sa kanya, kahit hindi natupad ang ilan sa kanilang pinag-usapan (tulad sana ng pagiging head niya sa music division ng network) ay mananatili pa rin siya sa istasyon.

“Sa tingin ko, I will stay pa rin sa TV5. Wala naman akong pinagsisisihan sa ginawa ko at naging desisyon ko. I miss my friends from Bubble Gang, saka yung mga kaibigan ko at dating mga katrabahao. Nami-miss ko sila.

“Pero sabi ko nga, ganun lang talaga ang buhay 'di ba? You have to do other things, and gaya rin ng sinabi ko noon, nung nag-usap kami ni boss MVP, na ninong ko, committed ako sa kanya, 'di ba? Na kahit anong mangyari, sige tutulong ako. So, sa ngayon, naghihintay tayo ng isang show, yung makatsamba lang tayo ng isang show na talagang papatok, ngayon kasi wala pa, eh,” sabi pa ni Ogie.

“Sabi ko nga,kailangan din lang talagang pagtiyagaan, eh. It takes time. Hindi nakukuha yan sa isang iglap lang, eh,” pahayag pa ni Ogie.

Dahil busy sa kanyang taping schedules, inamin ni Max na hindi siya nagkaroon ng sapat na panahon para mapaghandaan pagiging cover girl.

“I didn’t have much time to prepare actually, so what I did was I try to eat less and I try to workout as much as possible. Tapos two meals na lang ako in a day, puro fruit and vegetables lang, walang meat. Then, nag-yoga din ako, mga two times.

“I was really worried about my weight but I said okay lang siguro kasi makikita din ng tao yung totoong ako, you know, there’s all types of beauty naman, hindi naman lahat super payat, hindi naman lahat is kitang-kita ang abs,” kuwento ng dalaga.

Bagama’t kabado, nag-enjoy naman daw si Max sa kanyang photo shoot.

“I was really nervous, sobra, kasi first time kong mag-shoot ng sexy and I was surprised na it’s so easy rin naman pala kasi sobrang bait nilang lahat, they made me feel really comfortable and it was fun, it was a fun shoot.”

When asked what is the hardest part during the photo shoot, ang sabi niya, “Ang pinamamahirap na part was when Doc Marlon (the photograher) cut my dress. Nauna muna yung slit, eh, medyo mataas na, so sabi ko, okay lang yan kasi slit lang naman. And then, doon sa may neckline, ginupit na, as you can see in the cover. Sabi ko, wait, hindi pupuwede kasi may wire, he said okay lang yan, tapos hinila niya. Bumaba yung damit ko and I was just holding it up and that’s the product (referring to the cover). Yan yung kinalabasan,” sabay turo niya sa cover ng magazine.

Simula na ba ito ng pagpapaka-daring ni Max at pagtanggap ng sexy roles?

“Siguro daring in a sense na this is me as a more mature woman, hindi na ako bata, I’m up for more challenges. And it’s a new year, parang new me na rin pero depende pa rin po sa project, kung maganda naman yung project, I’m up for doing sexy roles or more mature roles.

“I feel really lucky to be one of FHM’s cover girls and not just one of the cover girls, but their 15th anniversary cover girl, so its really an honor. I may not be as sexy as them, but I’m just really thankful to be considered as sexy because FHM chose me.”

Abala ngayon si Maja sa pagti-taping ng Bridges of Love na mapapanood ngayong March. Gagampanan ni Maja sa serye ang role ng isang star dancer. Sa trailer ng Bridges, umiiyak na sumasayaw si Maja.

“Excited akong maipakilala na sa inyo si Mia Sandoval, ’yung karakter niya, kasi ano ’yung nasa likod na ’yun ng pagsasayaw na ’yun?

Ano ’yung iniiyak niya du’n sa pagsasayaw niya? Bakit ganun klase siyang babae?”

Inamin din ng aktres na hindi siya ang first choice para sa role ni Mia sa Bridges pero nagpapasalamat siya na sa kanya ipinagkatiwala ang role.

“Itong Bridges of Love, actually, ipini-pitch pa ito sa ibang artista kasabay ng The Legal Wife. CARMINA VILLARROEL TAKES A RISK BY ACCEPTING ROLE AS OBSESSED LOVER OF PAULO AVELINO IN BRIDGES OF LOVE Naloka si Carmina Villaroel sa love scene nila ni Paulo Avelino sa lalabas nilang serye na Brid­ges of Love, na pinagbibidahan din nina Jericho Rosales, Maja Salvador at Edu Manzano. Panay ang tili ni Carmina sa tuwing mababanggit o matatanong sa kanya kung ano ang ginawa nila sa kanilang love scene.

Natural ang naging reaksyon ni Carmina dahil first time niyang maka-experience uli ang kissing scene sa kanyang acting project.

First time rin daw niyang magkaroon ng love scene sa TV at sa isang mas bata pa sa kanya.

Naikondisyon naman daw ni Carmina ang sarili sa inaasahang nasabing eksena, pero nu’ng nasa actual shoot na raw siya, kinabahan daw siya ng bonggangbongga.

Kapag naalala ni Carmina ang nangyari sa eksena, tumitili siya. Gaya na lamang nu’ng usisain namin ang kissing scene nila ni Paulo.

Hindi na nagdetalye pa ang actress-host sa kung paano nila ginawa ang kissing scene, pero ikinabaliw raw niya ang eksena.

Nailang nga raw siya rito maging ang mga hawak sa kanya ni Paulo, pero mabuti na lang daw at iba­yong pag­-iingat at pagalalay ang ginawa ng aktor sa kanilang eksena.

Inamin naman ni Carmina na nagdalawang-isip siya nu’ng una na tanggapin ang role. Sa status daw niya kasi bilang isang aktres na may dalawang anak at may-asawa, parang hindi na bagay sa kanya ang makipaghalikan sa ibang aktor.

Pero dahil maganda ang role at challenging ay gusto raw niyang hamunin ang kanyang kakayahan bilang aktres.

Noong kukunan na nga ang sensual scene nila ni Paulo, doon niya napatunayang mahirap pala talaga ang kanyang role. Isang obsess kay Paulo ang ginagampanan ni Carmina sa serye na siyang magpapahirap sa character ng aktor at ni Maja na siyang love interest ni Paulo.

Hindi masasabing kon­trabida o masama ang character ni Carmi­na dahil may pinanggagalingan ang kanyang role.

Hindi na ipinaalam pa ni Carmina kay Zoren ang pagiging daring niya sa project.

Pagdating sa trabaho hindi raw nakikialam si Zoren sa kanya.

Ganun na raw ang set-up nilang mag-asawa kahit noong nagsasama pa lang sila.

Pero proud si Carmina sa kanyang role at sa buong serye dahil sa kakaibang takbo ng istorya nito. Sigurado siyang hindi siya makakatanggap ng mga bashers o haters sa role niya bilang ‘cougar’ kay Paulo dahil mata­talino na raw ang mga manonood ng mga serye.

EDU MANZANO ADMITS ROLE ON BRIDGES OF LOVE IS ‘DEMANDING’ Nagbabalik kapamilya ang TV host-actor na si Edu Manzano.

Kasama siya nina Carmina Villaroel, Jericho Rosales, Paulo Avelino at Maja Salvador na humarap sa press para sa grand presscon ng seryeng Bridges of Love na magsisimula na sa March 16 sa primetime bida ng ABS-CBN. Bagama’t walang pinirmahang kontrata sa ABS-CBN, masaya siya na nakabalik sa dating network na pinagsilbihan niya for almost 26 years.

“Actually, freelance ako, but for the duration nitong teleserye, hindi muna ako gagawa sa iba or ng iba. Kasi believe it or not, napaka-demanding ng role na hinihingi sa akin itong Bridges of Love,” simula niyang pahayag.

Tumigil na gumawa ng teleserye si Edu nu’ng pumasok siya sa gobyerno.

“Ayoko kasing mag-divide ng time, and then movies, tinigil ko rin nung 2004. Ayoko kasing mapagbintangan ako na ginagamit ko yung career ko, so nung nasa OMB (Optical Media Board) ako, ang ginawa ko lang was yung Game Ka Na Ba kasi taping yon, eh, after 5 in the afternoon, pag wala nang office hour,” kuwento pa niya.

Pinag-uusapan na rin daw ang paghu-host niya sa isang Kapamilya game show kaya lang ayaw muna niyang magbigay ng detalye tungkol dito.

“I don’t think I’m at liberty yet to share kung ano exactly yung plano. Ang sarap gumawa ng game show, kaya lang talagang...” bitin niyang pahayag.

May puwang pa ba siya sa game show ng Dos ngayong ang anak niyang si Luis Manzano na ang naghahari dito?

“Pinaghandaan ko talaga ito, totoo ‘yon. I lost weight, nagexperiment kami ng hairstyle. Nagpapayat ako, kasi alam ko na si Jericho, si Paulo ang makakasama ko.

“Nine years akong hindi nakagawa ng teleserye, 2006 ang huli ko, yon pang kina Claudine (Barretto) at Piolo (Pascual).

So, imaginin mo yon di ba? Kaya kailangan ko talagang maghanda, humaharap ako sa salamin, kinakausap ko yung sarili ko. Tapos kahit papaano, you start working out.

“Tapos yung mga exercises sa acting ginagawa ko rin.

Meron kasing tinatawag na “getting in the zone.” Kasi when you get in the zone, hindi na nagiging effort, hindi ka na nagiging conscious don sa mga lines, dapat mag-flow na yon, eh.

“At saka pag alam mo nang makakaeksena mo yung mga... sina Jericho, sina Carmina, si Paulo, it has to come a second nature na parang hindi mo pinag-aralan,” pag-amin.

Ayon pa sa aktor, nakadagdag din daw sa pressure na kailangan niyang maghanda sa Bridges of Love is the fact na sina Jericho at ang iba pang cast ang makakatrabaho niya.

“Hindi na ako nagpa-party. Ako na rin ang naghahanda ng mga damit ko. Tapos pagdating sa set, alam ko na yung mga lines ko. Sa teleserye kasi ngayon, group effort na, eh. Dapat pare-pareho kayong mag-delliver.

“Ninenerbyos pa rin nga ako sa set, eh. Sila tahimik lang.

Pero yung nerbyos ko, dinadaan ko na lang sa kulit, yon ako, eh,” pag-amin pa niya.

Paulo Avelino has finally spoken up—for the first time—on the brewing romance between his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his son Aki, LJ Reyes and Kapamilya star JC de Vera.

It was early this January when JC confirmed that he has been dating the sexy actress for a couple of months now.

To this, Paulo, during the press conference of his upcoming soap Bridges of Love together with Jericho Rosales, Maja Salvador, Edu Manzano and Carmina Villaroel, said he actually has no idea about it.

But is he okay with it?

“Alam mo parang akin it’s all about happiness. Kung saan masaya si LJ or kahit si JC. Kahit sino pang piliin nila basta maging masaya sila,” he stressed.

It was late 2013 when Paulo finally admitted that he has parted ways with his then girlfriend of four years.

While they have opted not to reveal the exact reason for their split, LJ was quoted to have said in previous reports that it neither has something to do with a third party nor the actor’s choice to switch networks.

Meanwhile, Paulo for his part has long been very close with KC Concepcion.

Although they are yet to be a couple, the two have admitted that they are very special to one another in that they are best of friends.

However, of late, rumors have been going around that the two have “broken up,” an issue which Paulo just laughed at.

“Ha? Parang wala pa namang inaamin na naging kami break kaagad? Hindi naman siguro nag-be-break ang magkaibigan,” he said.

As if to shut the said rumors, Paulo assured that he and KC are still maintaining their communication despite their busy schedules.

“Yeah, yeah. Nag-uusap naman kami,” Paulo said.

He likewise denied rumors that he has issues with other people. Speculations arose that such was the case after Paulo’s recent meaningful post on Instagram.

“Wala, wala. You know everything I post on social or ‘yung mga ganon ay mga quotes na nakikita ko sa timeline ko. So, nakikita mo, so gusto kong i-share sa mga followers mo kaya pino-post mo. Pero no one in general. Hindi naman ibig sabihin na pi-nost ko siya eh pinagdadaanan ko siya. I just want share it,” he said.

IS HE SEARCHINGFOR A NEW LOVE? After starring in numerous teleseryes that tested his capability as an actor, Paulo Avelino remarked that his role in the upcoming soap Bridges of Love is his most challenging to date. He further stated that the show will offer the televiewers a one of a kind story that has not yet told on primetime television until now.

“When this role was presented to me, exciting dahil bago kasi ‘yung character ko dito, it’s different from other characters I’ve done before pati ‘yung istroya, ‘yung arc ng istorya, sobrang ganda at parang kahit ako na-excite ako sa mangyayari,” he stated.

Paulo said that he is ecstatic to work with Maja Salvador again. She was his co-star in the movie Status It’s Complicated. Meanwhile, the actor couldn’t hide his joy to be given the opportunity to work with Jericho Rosales who he admitted is someone he looks up to in the industry.

“It’s my second time to work with Maja and I’m very excited to work with Maja again.

I know she’s a good actress and with Echo, ayon I’m very excited also dahil matagal ko na rin siyang gustong makatrabaho, isa talaga siya sa tinitingala kong artista dito sa dos, hindi lang dahil sa magaling siyang umarte kundi parang in a way nasubaybayan ko rin ‘yung buhay niya bilang artista.”

Paulo will be playing the role of Carlos Antonio. The actor shared that his character has a very complicated life. “Si Carlos Antonio kumbaga iba rin ‘yung hirap na pinagdaanan niya, lahat ng minamahal niya iniiwan siya kaya paglaki niya sobrang naging tigas, sobrang sa tingin niya kaya niya lahat, kaya niya bilhin lahat ng tao. Lalaking-lalaki ‘yung role,” he relayed.

Adding to the pressure and the challenge of playing his complicated role are Paulo’s intimate scenes with Carmina Villaroel who is also part of the show. “Medyo dahil ‘yun ang isang

kagandahan sa show na ito parang intertwined lahat ng characters, parang magkakadikit lahat and at some point magkakaroon ng certain connection kahit hindi mo iisipin na parang malabong mangyari pero nangyayari dahil nga may tumutulay lagi.”

He relayed that both of them treat it as professionally as possible which made the scenes not too difficult to execute. “Nahihiya ako actually kay Carmina pero at the end of the day she made me [feel comfortable], parang baliktad eh, ayon tinrato lang namin as professionals and sinunod lang din namin ‘yung bilin at utos ng direktor namin which is we were true to the script,” he said.

In an exclusive interview with Paulo during the live Kapamilya chat, the actor shared that he can somewhat relate to his character especially when it comes to finding love. “Ayun siguro makaka-relate ako to my character sa siguro, kahit naman siguro lahat ng tao may kulang, may kulang lagi na hinahanap mo na hindi mo alam, ‘yun siguro, ‘yung kumbaga hinahanap natin sa buhay, hindi ko alam kung pag-ibig ba,” he briefly stated.

Paulo has been romantically linked to KC Concepcion. Their last appearance together was in a Gandang Gabi Vice episode in January.

Paulo admitted on the show that they have a special connection. “Si KC naman if you look at her she’s very formal, but kapag nakausap mo siya, kahit sa staff niya, kung makipagusap siya as a normal person ... We started naman as friends talaga tapos nagkaroon ng connection.

We have something special,” Paulo said.

But KC stressed that they are not putting a label on their relationship status to avoid the pressure of commitment. “Di sure kung itutuloy ng super todo,” KC said in the interview with GGV host Vice Ganda.

JK & JONES After tying the knot last year, Jericho Rosales has been persistently asked whether or not he is already planning to have a baby with wife Kim Jones. In an interview with the actor during the photo shoot of his new show Bridges of Love, Jericho shared that there is no plan yet since they are both caught up with their respective careers and they still have more things to pursue professionally.

“Wala pa[ng plano] hindi pa, I’m still praying about it kung kailan ang perfect timing kasi gusto ko muna ma-enjoy niya ’yung work niya, I mean ako din gusto ko maging prepared for that. Kasi pagkinasal kayo hindi pa tapos don ‘yun eh, pag-aaralan niyo pa ‘yung isa’t isa ‘di ba? And then kung kailan ‘yung timing,” he said.

Jericho remarked that it is essential that he will get to take care of Kim when the time comes that she gets pregnant. With his busy schedule now that would be impossible so he would rather not have it happen soon. “I want to be there for her kapag nabuntis na

siya. I want to be there a few months before siya manganak and a few months after siya manganak so timing is crucial talaga. Gusto ko andon ako eh para sa kanya and we're both not ready pa so we are praying hard about it. Time will come.”

The actor is set to star in the upcoming soap Bridges of Love this March. With the intimate and passionate scenes that his role requires, how is Kim reacting to it? “Well first of all Australian si Kim so medyo open ‘yung kultura nila ‘di ba so hindi masyadong konserbatibo pero may values siyempre si Kim. Walang naging problema sa amin ‘yun ever kasi alam niya na ginagawa ko ‘yung work ko, na may reason. She knows that na hindi ako gagawa ng isang bagay for wrong reasons, that's how much she trusts me and vice versa.”

He further stressed that Kim is very understanding when it comes to his work and he appreciates her for it. “She’s the most supportive, she’s my best friend, she’s my most favorite person in the world and the only issue now of course is she's busy, she’s very busy ‘yun lang pero okay lang ‘yan. Sanay na sanay kami sa isa’t isa, kumbaga para sa akin lang perfect, wala namang perfect pero ‘yung set-up namin, ‘yung pagkakaintindihan namin sa isa’t isa, full support talaga.”

herie Gil once again takes on a role that seems tailor-made for her, that of a fabulous haciendera who is back in the country fresh from Spain. This is her character in PETA's latest offering Arbol de Fuego, the deluded and love-stricken Enriquietta Jardeleza-Sofronio aka Rica.

Set in Negros Occidental during the late '70s, Arbol is a local stage adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Cherry Orchard as directed by Loy Arcenas and as written by Rod Vera. As the family and other personas in Hacienda Carmen confront problems and other individuals, they have shown distinct Filipino characteristics that until today rings true for most of us even in the modern days.

1. SENTIMENTALITY Rica was confronted by the probability of Hacienda Carmen being seized by the bank to be part of Land Reform due to their failure to pay for their loan. She and her brother Adjie, played by the flamboyant Jake Macapagal, fed on their attachment to their Balay Dako or ancestral home and junked practical local businessman Nonoy Tiking’s (played by Raffy Tejada) proposal to parcel out the land and lease it to other businessmen in order to save it.

The siblings dismissed the idea because doing so would risk cutting down the ever-blooming arbol de fuego which frame the estate and serve as the best memory of their childhood.

2. STRONG SENSE OF FAMILY Apart from Adjie and Rica, the gentle Nina the latter’s biological daughter and the overprotective Charito her adoptive daughter were also dragged into the problem of the hacienda. Charito played by Angeli Bayani and Nina played by Anna Luna are the only voices of reason in the family. However, not wanting to displease Rica, they remain silent over their dilemma.

3. IMPRACTICALITY One reason that made Rica fly back to the Philippines is the fact that she has gone bankrupt in Spain. Since she’s still facing money problems with the hacienda when she got back, she virtually has very little money left. Despite this, Rica throws a lavish party at their hacienda and even lends money to impoverished landowner Chitong played by Leo Rialp.

4. LABORIOUSNESS Charito’s utter sense of responsibility has kept the family intact and well fed despite the lack of money. Then there’s Nonoy Tiking who, who was born as a peasant at the Jardeleza’s hacienda, worked hard and rose to become their savior. There’s also the philosophical Dante Tenorio played by Riki Benedicto, Nina’s love interest, who continues pursuing a higher education despite being teased for his so-called “weird passion for studying.”

5. LOYALTY As the story progressed, the siblings were left with no choice but to resort into extreme measures just to save their land. In the end, they reluctantly allowed the hacienda to be auctioned where Nonoy Tiking emerged as the higher bidder. Despite being the hacienda’s new owner, Nonoy Tiking offered a gracious amount to the Jardelezas as a symbol of his loyalty to their family. However, this didn’t stop them from eventually deciding to leave the ancestral home.

While they have all made plans for their future, there’s their manservant Manong Ikong, played by the silent yet effective Bembol Roco, who was left with nothing but his loyalty to the family, especially to Adjie whom worries about a lot even if he’s no longer the same boy that he once looked after.
