athryn Bernardo said she is excited for fans of her love team to see Kathniel’s latest project, the Star Cinema movie She’s Dating The Gangster. “Sobrang layo niya sa mga ginawa namin ni DJ (Daniel Padilla) kasi pangfifth na namin ito na movie ni DJ and masasabi ko na ito yung pinakamalaki na siguro at seryoso. Sa lahat ito na siguro yung mas mature siguro kasi makikita niyo sa trailer nahirapan talaga kami ni DJ gawin yung mga characters namin kasi meron kaming book na pinaggayahan tapos may dinagdag pa kaming ibang mga input. Napakaganda yung pelikula, ibang iba siya sa lahat,” she shareD during the She’s Dating The Gangster grand presscon held last July 4 at the Dolphy theater inside the ABS-CBN compound. After their Primetime Bida hit series Got To Believe, the talented actress admitted she feels honored to be given another starring role in another major movie which has scenes in scenic places like Mayon Volcano. “Pumunta kai sa Legazpi, Albay. Two hours kaming nag-ATV para papunta dun sa Mayon volcano. Super ganda, makikita nila sa movie na marami kaming shoot sa Bicol. Bilang leading lady ni DJ siguro para mabigyan ka ng isang role na parang isa ka na sa mga leading ladies of course nakakatuwa yun, ibig sabihin nag-grow ka na rin and siguro feeling ko pag leading lady ka mas marami kang chance na mag-portray ng iba’t ibang roles na hindi ko naman talaga nagagawa sa totoong buhay. So parang napapasok ako sa iba-ibang character ng tao,” she said. Kath said she is also very proud of how DJ had grown after first working with him in Growing Up in 2011. “Nakita ko kasi siguro halos simula nung nakasama ko siya, payat pa siya nun tapos iba pa siya, masasabi ko na nakita ko kung paano siya nag-grow as a person and as an actor since nag-show na kami at naka ilang movies na rin, sobrang na-pa-proud ako sa kanya ngayon kasi nakita ko kagaya niya na mahal na niya talaga yung trabaho niya. Dati naglalaro laro lang siya, ganyan ganyan. Pero ngayon nagconcert na siya sa Araneta. Ang dami na rin niyang nagawa kaya sobrang proud ako sa kanya. Okay din kasi habang tumatagal kaming magkasama hindi ako nagsasawa sa kanya, masarap kasama si DJ. Masarap siya kasama. Parang may baby ka na kasama. I mean baby as in literal na baby (laughs),” she joked. Even with her career on the rise, the 18-year-old actress said she and DJ do not let fame get to their egos. They just want to do their best and follow the path of other successful love teams that came before them. “Alam naman natin na maraming mas nauna sa amin na loveteam like si Bea-John Lloyd, Jericho-Kristine and fan kami nila so ayoko sabihin na tatapatan namin sila or gusto namin mas aagatan sila, pero sa halip maging inspiration namin kasi ang dami pa naming kailangan matutunan eh kasi ang dami talaga naming natututunan every shooting day. Marami pa talaga kaming matututunan sa process na ito. So sila yung mga inspiration namin and sana one day maging katulad nila kami kasi nakita naman natin yung mga pelikula nila na tumatak sa ating lahat yung One More Chance, ganyan,” she shared. During the Ipresscon, many commented on how “blooming” Kath was and her happy aura in general. When asked to comment if she believed in the saying love makes women more beautiful, she answered, “Siguro ang puyat nakakaganda (laughs). Feeling ko pag masaya ka. In general yes ang pag-ibig nakakaganda,” she said.

Grabe hindi ko ma-explain. Talagang masasabi kong proud ako sa movie na ito. Ang dami naming natutunan talaga,” he shared during the She’s Dating The Gangster grand presscon held last July 4 inside ABS-CBN compound. With one of the fastest-rising careers in showbiz, DJ said he has learned to become more mature especially when it comes to work “Ngayon kung dati sinasabi ko na busy kami, ngayon mas busy na kami eh. Pero na-e-enjoy ko yung trabaho. Parang mas na-aappreciate ko siya ngayon. At kung magtrabaho ako ngayon mahal ko na talaga at saka enjoy ako sa mga nakakasama ko sa trabaho, yun yung importante para sa akin. Hindi ako nalulungkot tuwing may trabaho ako, kumbaga na-e-excite ka, masaya ka pa pag may trabaho, yun na yung importante para sa akin,” he shared. Even though they are considered the hottest teen love team in the Kapamilya network now, DJ said he does not think of himself as a big shot yet. “Siguro sinet na namin ni Kathryn sa sarili namin na example si sir Piolo (Pascual) at sir John Lloyd (Cruz) [at iba pang Star Magic artists], kumbaga inspirasyon namin silang dalawa dahil hindi naman sila sumikat dahil guwapo at magaganda, dahil din magagaling silang mga aktor at aktres. Gagawin namin silang inspirasyon ni Kathryn,” he added. Even though the movie is about DJ playing the role of a group of “gangsters,” the 19-year-old actor said this does not mean having to be violent or doing criminal things. “Maraming definitions ng gangster, merong gangster ng frat, gangster na yung mga parang pang-mafia, eto nagsimula yung salitang gangster kay Athena (Kathryn’s character). Yun lang siguro dahil yung grupo namin hindi nag-hazing or ganyan. Kami group of friends lang tapos siguro nakita ni Athena na yung aura ko parang walang pakialam sa mundo, tapos kaangasan niya, hindi niya nirerespeto yung babae, ganun. Pero wala namang parang brutal na ginagawa dito,” he explained. In real life, DJ said he considers himself a gangster only in terms of confidence. “Hindi naman siguro, wala relaks lang tayo (laughs). Siguro yung angas hindi naman siya effort, it comes naturally,” he added. With all the speculation regarding their reel-to-real life romance, DJ said she considers spending time with Kath as dating already. “As Kathryn and Daniel, pag magkasama kasi kaming dalawa na walang camera, ina-assume ko na date yun (laughs). Date na agad yun. Kumbaga sa trabaho, kunwari nasa shoot kami like nung nasa Bicol kami, parang chini-cherish ko na siya, na parang kaming dalawa lang yung nasa Mayon. Parang bucket list namin ni Kathryn yung mga first time naming magagawa na magkasama kami, so kagaya nung nag-ATV kami paakyat nung bundok, sa akin siya nakasakay siyempre. Kaming lahat nung crew,” he recalled. Even though they are not allowed to be alone when they go out, DJ said he doesn’t mind if they are almost always accompanied by Kathryn’s mom. “Ako ok lang gusto ko kasama parati si Tita Min, dahil na-le-less gastos ako (laughs). Hindi kasi si Tita Min siya yung guide naming dalawa ni Kathryn so hindi siya negative para sa akin at saka parang nanay ko na talaga si Tita Min. Inaalagaan niya kami ni Kathryn,” he shared. Even after numerous projects with Kath, DJ said nothing has changed when it comes to his feelings for the teen actress. “After four movies na magkasama kami ni Kathryn, hindi pa rin nagbabago ang pagtingin ko. Yun lang po,” he admitted.

Some of the country’s sexiest took the catwalk at the World Trade Center on July 9 for the FHM 100 Sexiest bash. For those who missed it, here are the six highlights that took the show to the next level. 6. Elaborate costumes The production team transformed otherwise mundane costumes into something sexier and more exciting. Among the concepts that they played on were ghetto, Candyland, Bejeweled, school girl, boyfriend outfits, and even one that used the medieval-fantasy concept of the epic American show Game of Thrones.
5. All girl dance production numbers It’s not everyday that you see sexy girls from rival networks share the dance floor for a sizzling dance number clad in skimpy bikinis. aja Salvador has proven herself as a true talent whether it comes to dancing, acting, and now singing. In her upcoming one-night only concert at the Music Museum on July 12, Maja said she is excited for the repertoire. “Maganda rin yung timing kasi after The Legal Wife eto na. So sobrang masaya lang ako na madaming blessings na dumadating sa akin at nasa tama lang yung timing sa pagbuhos ng pagbuhos. Sa lahat ata ng kakantahin ko excited ako at kakabahan ako kasi halos lahat sobrang bago para sa akin kasi hindi naman ako bumibirit, hindi naman ako diva pero thankful ako na yung musical director ko kasi meron siyang mga hinanda na mga kanta ko dito na may konting twist. Hindi ko masabi kung anong exactly gagawin ko pero surprise yun. Siyempre expect niyo na may sayawan din. May iba’t ibang levels ng pagkanta. Hindi lang puro new songs. Siguro ang pinakabagong mga kanta yung mga nasa album ko tapos yung iba may mga hugot kasi it yung paborito kong kantahin sa videoke,” she shared during her blogger’s conference held last July 3 at the Black Kitchen in Quezon City. Parang naniniwala ako na one day kung ano man yung mga pangarap ko matutupad yun, hindi man agad agad ibibigay ng Diyos pero kinapitan ko lang yun at yun binigay niya. So believe and it will happen. Naloka ako (laughs). Feeling ko may fashion show ako. Eh kasi masuwerte lang din ako ang stylist ko is Rex Atienza kasi parang alam niya kung ano yung mga gusto kong suotin, alam niya kung saan ako kumportable at kung saan ako gaganda at babagay yung mga damit para dun sa ipe-perform ko. Ang gaganda. Isa yun sa pinaka-na-excite ako sa concert ko kasi,” she said. Out of the four male celebrity guests for the show, the 25-year-old performer said she is most excited about her song number with Piolo. “Siyempre si Piolo Pascual yun. Kasi nakakasayaw ko naman si Enchong (Dee), si Enrique (Gil) and Rayver (Cruz) pero first time ko makipag-duet with Mr. Piolo Pascual. Kahit noon pa man hindi ko naman tinatago na malaki ang paghanga ko kay Mr. Piolo Pascual so excited ako dun sa kakantahin naming duet. Sana nga hindi ako matawa kasi tuwing magkikita kami ni Papa P puro kalokohan na yung mga ginagawa ko sa kanya. Sana maging serious ako nung moment na yun,” she admitted. In preparation for her concert, Maja said she has been focusing on her voice lessons. “Nag-start na rin ako mag-aral kumanta so sana mag-survive ako (laughs). Sinasabi ng teacher ko na medyo mataas nga daw, dinadaan ko kasi sa linoloko loko ko. Siyempre bilang hindi naman talaga ako singer na singer talaga, may mga kailangan ako pag-aralan, kailangan ko yung mga technique na tinuturo sa akin yung teacher, kung saan mo huhugutin yung boses mo. Unti-unti feeling ko minsan pag nag-pe-perform ako feeling ko nag-iiba na yung boses ko. Pero maganda yung kinakalabasan. Siguro mas confident na ako kahit papano sa pagkanta. Going there (laughs),” she said. Aside from personalized lessons, Maja said she has also appreciated getting advice from her friends in ASAP. “Nung nasa ASAP backstage kami, si sir Martin Nievera meron siyang tinuro sa akin na two-minute voice lesson and every time na kakanta ka tapos may high note dapat

Like the previous love team, Richard and Dawn also took their onscreen chemistry to the next level by being in a relationship. Their first drama Hihintayin Kita sa Langit in 1991 brought them into the spotlight. Even Richard’s own wife Lucy Torres is a big fan of their pairing. Richard and Dawn managed to earn the title the “Eternal Love Team” when their chemistry was tested anew in the 2012 drama series Walang Hanggan. Their last movie was Got 2 Believe which was released in February 2002 where Claudine played an ill-fated wedding planner who fell in love with a pessimistic wedding photographer. lthough it’s not their first time to reunite on a project after their split, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson admitted that they still need to break the ice during their recent TV commercial. The former reel and real life tandem, collectively known as Kimerald, was recently seen onscreen for a coffee commercial together with Matteo Guidicelli and Jessy Mendiola, four years since they parted ways. In two separate interviews aired on The Buzz on Sunday, Gerald explained the reason for their discomfort. “Wala naman siyempre matagal narin ‘yung pinagsamahan naming kumbaga pero sa tagal narin na hindi kami nagsama siyempre nandoon narin ‘yung konting ilan,” said the Dyesebel star.

HAYDEN KHO GETS REINSTATED AS MEDICAL PRACTITIONER
ayden Kho can now resume practicing medicine as his license which was revoked five years ago was reinstated by the Professional Regulation Commission’s (PRC) Board of Medicine. Hayden on Monday evening shared the good news on his Instagram account which showed a portion of the signed document dated July 7 by Miguel Noche, Jr., chairman of the PRC’s Board of Medicine. The document detailed in brief its grounds for granting Hayden’s petition for reinstatement which was largely due to the “complainant’s failure to oppose as desistance or waiver of her right to object to the
petition.” It pointed out that there is “no cogent reason to further burden petitioner with the remnants of a reckless faux pas when his overall conduct shows a manifestly repentant heart. While others simply passively wait for the period revocation to lapse, petitioner positively and quickly acted to prove himself a worthy medical doctor to this Board and the Commission. “Wherefore, all premises considered and for reasons of equity and justice, the Board hereby grants petitioner’s petition for reinstatement. Dr. Hayden Kho is hereby reinstated to the practice as medical doctor.” Hayden quoted two Bible verses in the photo’s caption, Psalms 71:20 and Joel 2:25, to “reflect what my heart wants to say about this.” The revocation of Hayden’s license happened in November 2009 after he was found guilty of committing “immorality, dishonorable, and unethical conduct” in connection with the video recording of his sexual dalliances with various women.
One of the actresses included in the videos was Katrina Halili who filed criminal charges against Hayden for allegedly violating Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act. Hayden filed a petition to the Court of Appeals in August 2011 to reverse PRC’s decision but to no avail as it was rejected in July 2012. However in August of 2012, the appellate court cleared Hayden of criminal liabilities in affirmation of a Pasig City court’s dismissal of Katrina’s case against him. In a report by ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Hayden thanked those who “stood by him” throughout the “challenging saga” of his life. He added, “I’m grateful also to the PRC who appreciated and honored my efforts to lead a life pleasing to our real audience who is God.” According to Hayden his latest feat is a “testimony of God’s faithfulness to all those who are currently struggling and suffering from past mistakes.”

I have cancer of the left lung which makes it hard for me to breathe,” she admitted in a press conference this Wednesday morning. Sen. Miriam is known to be one of the frontrunners in battling government officials who allegedly were involved in the PDAF scam. “I don’t know what the reaction of my enemies will be, on what hand I might die, and that they could get rid of me, of I might survive and get rid of them,” she stated. She shared that her body contains “behavioral mutants” that battles cancer cells, hence, the disease is not spreading in her body. “They discovered I have a very rare condition which is called behavioral mutants or mutancy by themselves, by my cells in my left lung, have developed a genetic mutation, making them impermeable to cancer and which gives them the energy to fight off cancer nearby.” The senator relayed that she will be taking a tablet which has the same effect as chemotherapy to counterattack her disease. “I’ll be taking a tablet and in effect it will give me all the benefits of chemotherapy without the side effects. Other than the public, even actress Heart Evangelista, a close friend of Senator Miriam Santiago, was shocked over the lawmaker’s recent revelation about her stage 4 lung cancer. “Nag-usap kami two, three days ago. Isang oras kami nag-usap noon. Dun niya sinabi sa ‘kin na may sakit siya but the way she said it, she was very strong na parang hindi ako masyado nag-wo-worry [otherwise,] siguro ngayon dapat super iyak na ‘ko kasi parang nanay ko siya,” she shared at the Saturday episode of Startalk where she happens to be one of the hosts. The feisty senator positively detailed that she has been undergoing therapy for the cancer on her left lung for weeks now. With the tablet that she’s taking as of the moment and the cancer cells not spreading, she remarked that she might be back in office after six weeks. Heart further opened up that The Iron Lady of Asia assured her that she will be okay. “Pero the way she said it, it seems like she will be okay kasi the cancer is concentrated only on one area so meron siyang iniinom na gamot and she said in a few days, she’ll be fine so not to worry about it daw,” said Heart. Despite the senator’s assurance, Heart nevertheless called for prayers for her citing that, “She has served as an inspiration to a lot of people… We should pray for her. With her strength and with God, she will be okay. We love you, Tita Miriam.” According to Heart, she is very well aware that Miriam has already been under medication for various illnesses for a while now. But the thing is she had no idea that the feisty lawmaker had been battling cancer. “Nung nag-New York pa lang kami nun, I think this was two years ago, sobrang lamig talaga doon pero siya, naka-sleeveless siya so lahat ng tao, tinitingnan kasi naka-sleeveless siya kasi naiinitan siya sa sobrang dami niyang iniinom [na gamot] kasi ang dami niyang kakaibang sakit,” she added. The two first met when heart was a little over 14-years-old with the senator introducing herself to her and asking her a rhetorical question about success. From then on Heart considered her as her second mother and their friendship strengthened over the years despite being part of two different industries. During the renewal of the senator’s wedding vows with husband Jun Santiago on their 40th anniversary last June 2011, Heart even served as her maid of honor. As she has previously shared, it was also the senator who introduced her to her current flame Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero back in 2012. ctress Katrina Halili’s camp was anything but pleased by the Professional Regulation Commission’s (PRC) recent reinstatement of Hayden Kho as a medical practitioner. The actress, who filed criminal charges against Hayden for allegedly violating Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act following the leak of their intimate videos in 2009, claimed that they would question PRC’s move. Katrina’s counsel, Atty. Raymond Palad, claimed that the commission’s decision is premature since a former doctor’s petition for reinstatement of his license can only be obtained after a two-year period has lapsed. “Nagtataka lang kami sa bilis ng proseso na ginawa ng PRC. Hindi ko malaman kung
anong special consideration ang binigay dito when in fact ilang daan or ilang libong kaso pa ang nakabinbin sa PRC sa petition for reinstatement ng mga lisensya, hindi naman doktor kundi ng iba pang propesyon na binawi nila ang lisensya,” he said in a DZMM radio interview. Atty. Palad underscored that the said the counting of the two-year period for appeal should have started after the Court of Appeals (CA) made its decision final in 2012. “Sa Philippine Medical Act, nakalagay doon ang provision na after two years of revocation, yung PRC pwedeng ibalik yung lisensya ng isang doktor. Nung binawi ng PRC ang lisensya ni Hayden Kho nung March 2011, hindi pa natapos diyan. Hindi ka dapat diyan magbilang ng two years. Kasi yung decision ng PRC, chinallenge niya yan sa Court of Appeals, nilabanan niya yan,” Palad said.

alawang taon na ang nakakaraan nang pumanaw ang King of Comedy na si Dolphy, at nung July 10, 2014, isang misa ang inialay ng pamilya Quizon sa paggunita ng kanyang kamatayan. Naroon ang ilan sa kanyang mga anak na sina Vandolph, Epy, Nicole, at ibang mga kamag-anak, kaibigan at mahal sa buhay. Kinamusta din ng Push si Eric Quizon at Zsa Zsa Padilla sa mga naging pangyayari sa kanilang buhay simula nang mawala ang Hari ng Komedya. Ayon kay Eric, “Okay naman. Nakikita mo naman ang mga mukha ng mga Quizon, we are all okay, nakakangiti pa naman kami. Of course we miss our Dad pero yun na nga parang how fast, parang ang bilis, parang hindi masyadong matagal nung nawala siya biglang ngayon second death anniversary niya so ang bilis lang ng panahon.” Aminado din si Zsa Zsa na namimiss niya si Dolphy. “Moving on, yes. Pero siyempre kapag naalala mo we have good memories, nakakamiss talaga.” Ibinahagi din ni Eric ang kanyang personal na paraan upang laging maalala ang namayapang ama. “He is a part of my life everyday so kumbaga I live and breathe him up to now even if he’s gone. Hindi naman every minute pero imposible sa isang araw na hindi ko siya maalala at hindi ko isipin yung mga bilin niya sa akin so ginagawa ko naman lahat. And kaya siguro hindi ko siya nakakalimutan kasi may mga bilin siya sa akin so kaya I always remember him. And whenever I get the chance kahit wala ako sa harap ng puntod niya I talk to him. Napansin ko lang lately hindi ko siya napapanaginipan masyado but I always talk to him at tumitingin lang ako sa sky or yun sa langit, tapos kinakausap ko lang siya.” At ang isang bagay na nakatatak lang kay Eric na bilin sa kanya ng kanyang ama. “Basta gusto ko pantay-pantay, ayaw ko ng away. So, yun ang nakatatak sa isip ko and so far we are doing okay, we are doing well so masaya naman kami and kahit papaano. We all abide by sa lahat ng sinabi niya na hindi kami nagaaway-away so yun lang ang maganda kasi siyempre alam mo na hindi mo maiwasan siyempre we all have our differences and may kanya-kanya kaming iniisip at kanya kanya kaming opinyon pero at the end of the day nagkakasundo din naman.” Aminado si Zsa Zsa na may mga bagay pa rin siyang namimiss kay Dolphy at ang huling tatlong taon ni Dolphy ang hindi niya malilimutan. Aniya, “Oo naman kasi almost quarter of my life I was with him, 23 years so di ba talaga naman. Especially the last 3 years that he was ill, siyempre yun talaga yung pinakamemorable para sa amin dahil talagang we were closely monitoring his health, ganyan.” Para naman kay Eric, ang mga simpleng bagay tulad ng pagtawa ng kanyang ama at ang pag-kain nila ng magkakasama ang namimiss niya kapag naaalala si Dolphy. “Ang pinaka-namimiss ko ay yung nakikita ko siyang tumatawa saka yung kapag kumakain kasi ever since talaga yun ang bonding time naming pamilya yung kumain and usually kapag kumakain kamin nagpapatawa siya yun ang namimiss ko.” Natanong din si Eric kung may plano ba ang kanilang pamilya na gumawa ng pelikula tungkol sa buhay ng kanilang ama, at hindi naman itinanggi ng direktor na bukas sila sa posibilidad na ito. Aniya, “Well, may mga lumalabas na mga ideas pero yun lang kapag inisip namin yung buhay namin yung pelikula niya, isa sa buhay, isa sa gawa, parang ang dami, parang ang haba. Ang haba ng oras na kailangan namin, parang kapag pelikula siya kalahating araw ata ipapalabas yung pelikula niya. There have been talks at napag-usapan nga namin yan. We’ll see, we’ll see, it all depends kung anong pwedeng gawin but it would be nice to have a biopic or to have like a teleserye siguro kasi sa haba ng pinagdaanan ng Daddy ko at yung buhay niya ganun kakulay, parang pang-teleserye yung buhay niya kasi.”

Salvador Panejo to The Buzz which aired on Sunday-confirmed the incident and called the dismissal as “anomalous.” “Deniece Cornejo slashed her wrist this morning to call attention to the injustice she is suffering from and as a symbolic protest against the July 11, 2014 anomalous dismissal of the rape case she filed against Vhong Navarro, which rape complaint she already formally withdrew on July 4, 2014 so she could focus on her defense on the serious illegal detention and perjury cases filed against her,” her counsel said. He added that since the rape complaint has already been withdrawn by the complainant, the prosecutor office’s move can be considered as a “grave misconduct and smacks evident bad faith intended to further impair her credibility. “ hile they didn’t name names, Deniece’s camp believes that “powerful personalities in the movie industry” have used their influence not only to reap resolutions on Vhong’s favor but to cast her as “the heel instead of the wronged victim” to the media. “The tragic saga of Deniece Cornejo continues even as the purveyors of injustice remain hostage to ignorance and progressive putrefaction,” he said. While Vhong is celebrating this latest development, according to Atty. Panejo, the resolution caused Deniece to slip into depression. Though it seemed to many that

But he did confirm that Deniece carved the letter “W” and “R” on her wrist using a blade to stand for “women’s rights” in order to remind her of her life mission, which is to fight for it. In addition, Rod clarified that the slashing of Deniece’s wrist is not a prelude to a suicide since, he claims that it’s not in her grand daughter’s character to take her own life. He however reiterated that Deniece is hurting over how the case has been handled. Recall that the model-entrepreneur surrendered to the PNP last May 5.

him. In a resolution dated July 1, the Taguig RTC noted how Deniece’s “belie of a rape.” Part of the resolution read: “[Cornejo’s] subsequent actions belie of a rape which happened on January 17, 2014. She appeared to be normal in going about her daily activities. No changes in behavior or attitude were observed.” “If indeed the complainant was raped on January 17 or 18, 2014; why did she allow herself to be raped again on January 22, 2014? There is no sign of struggle, no physical injuries. Complainant’s narration of the actual act of rape is incredible.” Furthermore, the resolution also pointed out Cedric Lee and his cohorts’ demeanor as shown on the condominium’s
CCTV footage as inconsistent with those of wanting to rescue a friend in need saying that “CCTV photo grabs were submitted showing Cedric Lee and cohorts smiling inside the condominium’s elevator at 1:40 a.m., of January 18, 2014 which would be contrary to a person’s disposition when going to the rescue of a friend.” Recall that Deniece claimed to have asked for Cedric and his group’s help via a text message after Vhong supposedly attempted to rape her on their second meeting on January 22. This first and original rape case though has already been dismissed by the Department of Justice last April. Deniece is currently detained at the Philippine National Police headquarters in Quezon City after being charged with serious illegal detention, in connection with the January 22 mauling of Vhong. While her co-accused Cedric and Simeon Raz Jr. are under the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation in Manila. Vhong, for his part, during the live episode of It’s Showtime on Saturday thanked his fans who have prayed and supported him right from the beginning of his ordeal.

fter months of keeping mum on the issue, comedian Dennis Padilla finally broke his silence on that her currently popular daughter Julia Barretto has filed a petition to change her name and drop his last name. In an interview with Startalk which aired on Saturday, Dennis confirmed the circulating rumor that his daughter Julia, whose real name is Julia Francesca Barretto Baldivia, has filed a petition at a family court to change her name and drop Baldivia. Upon hearing about the rumor, Dennis said that he initially didn’t react thinking that his daughter won’t push through with such decision. However after a while he decided to confirm it by sending a representative to the Quezon City Hall’s family court. “Tapos ang sabi sa akin, sabi dun sa inutusan ko na hindi naman daw ako party dun sa petition so kahit wala akong kopya okey lang. Sabi ko hindi ganun ‘yon, kasi sigurado [ako] sa petition nakalagay yung Dennis Baldivia as father, so party ako sa petition,” he said. Later on, Dennis revealed that he received a copy of the petition and learned that it has been filed in the court August of last year. After a month of pondering, Dennis shared that he originally didn’t want to intervene with the petition. “Tapos later on, close friends and family sinabi sakin ‘Dennis ilaban mo ‘yung family name mo kasi tatay ka niya eh.’ Dugo ko siya eh. So sabi ko magmo-motion tayo,” said the Bride for Rent actor. But before things could even go any further, Dennis shared that he tried to talk about the subject with Julia during one of their phone conversations. But according to him, the young Kapamilya star who was very busy taping at that time, asked that they just discuss it some other time. Meanwhile, early on the topic, Dennis admitted that he initially thought that it’s acceptable for Julia to change her last name because “marami rin

fter renewing her contract with the Kapamilya network for two years, KC Concepcion said she is already excited to start working on her newest assignment as part of the cast of Ikaw Lamang. Aside from that, it seems she is also feeling very much inspired to work because the brewing romance between her and Paulo Avelino seems to be going good again.
The 29-year-old actress said having a love life makes work a whole lot better despite her
five-day weekly work schedule because of Ikaw Lamang. “Masarap pero alam mo ngayon lang din ako mag-ma-Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (laughs) so medyo parang hindi ko pa alam. Medyo nagmamakaawa ako na sana intindihin din ako kung may times na parang mag-aadjust pa ako sa schedule. Which means no matter how busy she is, KC said she will always make time for him. “He makes the effort din naman eh. Na-appreciate ko talaga yun. Basta okay kami.
