Spring 2010 Move-Out Efforts • We recruited 9 volunteers, who contributed 28 hours of volunteer work (sorting in the warehouse and going out on routes) • 2,517 lbs of house wares and miscellaneous materials donated to OSU Surplus Property • 829 lbs of food, toiletries, and school supplies donated to the OSU Emergency Food Pantry, plus another 43 lbs of unsealed toiletries donated to Calvary Chapel Outreach • 5,262 lbs of clothing, bedding, and towels donated to Calvary Chapel Outreach, Arc of Benton County, and the Vina Moses Center (plus 123 lbs of shoes to be recycled through Five Star Sports) • 3,000lb of wood donated to Benton Habitat for Humanity and OSU Surplus Property • That means we donated 11,651 lbs of material that would otherwise gone to the landfill!

Academic Breakfast • Pancake breakfast for all Bloss residents on the Saturday after the first week of classes. • Table-top display with information hand-outs on academic resources and calendars • Chance for students to reconnect, get prepared, discuss academics, and reflect on last term’s performance • Good warm-up opportunity for RAs to prepare for academic conversations 2. Closings and Closure Meeting • Pizza and drinks provided to inform about building closure • Watched Lakers vs. Celtics NBA finals game • Received well due to high attendance and activities geared towards transitions and reflections
