Gaetano Besides being an artist, Gaetano is also a songwriter-producer, and has been working with some very notable upcoming artists on the New York scene. You have just been introduced to Gaetano, a rising R&B star from the Bronx. This New York born and raised singer-songwriter-producer has been making a very respectable name for himself on the New York scene. He has opened for some of the biggest names in the business, such as Musiq Soulchild, Chrisette Michelle, Q Parker of 112, & Dwele. Gaetano was just 7 years old when he recorded "O Paese Di O'Sole", his first time ever being in the studio. HARTFORD HURRICANES TEAM PLAYS IN ITS FIRST POP WARNER SUPER BOWL & RETURN WITH # 3 NATIONAL RANKING Hartford, CT – On Sunday, December 9, 2012 the Hartford Hurricanes returned home to awaiting family, friends, fans and members of the Hartford City Council. The bus trip back from Orlando, Florida was a long one, but well worth the 22-hour ride. The Hurricanes participated in the 56th edition of the Pop Warner Super Bowl held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. IAMU:How do you get ready for a Performance? Before every performance I always drink tea and honey and then I make sure to do my vocal warm ups for at least 30 minutes. IAMU: What’s your favorite chill spot in your home town? My favorite chill spot is a restaurant called Taste of Texas. They have the best steaks ever and the best salad bar in the world!! If I don’t feel like eating as much I just get the salad. IAMU: Where is you favorite city to perform? I love performing in New York. The crowd feels me over there. Most of my music is also produced by producers in the East Coast. I just get so much love out there!! IAMU: can you describe some of your wildest fan interaction moments to date? One of the craziest fan interactions that I had was when a fan came on stage and tried dancing with me as if we were in a club, lol. Then to top it off they were trying to put sun glasses on me and trying to grab the mic. That was an adventure, lol.
IAMU: For the fellas, do you like to order off the menu for them or they gotta speak up? As a female I like taking charge and ordering my own meal off the menu. Hey, he might pick out something I hate. It is better to get what I like then waste food. IAMU: Is there a freak'em dress you like to bust out every now and then. I have too many of those, lol. I am at the point that I don’t know which one I should bust out and wear. They all on fire!!!
IAMU: Which song in your catalog is your favorite song so far? My favorite song of mine is “Take You Home” I love that song!! “Take You Home” has energy and fierceness going on. That song has also been #1 in the Netherlands. IAMU: Who would you like to collab with down the road I would love to do a collab with Mariah Carey. She is my idol and I have been following her since day 1. Collaborating with her would be amazing!!
IAMU: What artist are you listening to in your ipod? Mariah Carey, Drake, Future and Jeezy. IAMU: Your worst date ever? When I was living in New York I met this guy at a restaurant and all he talked about was how fly he was and how many woman wanted him. He was very pompous, arrogant and rude. I got so annoyed that I told him I was going to the restroom and I never came back to the table. I snuck out and took the train back home.

This organization was formed in 2000 to serve families in crisis. Our focus is stabilizing children during crisis, living in households where the children are at risk of de-stabilization from a safe living environment due to domestic violence or parental separation. The children in these homes are sometimes not known to DFCS, they live behind closed doors with families in the community where there has been several signs of their crisis, the parent has become withdrawn or abusive, the children have become withdrawn, violent, disruptive in school or truant. The family interactions in the community become more limited; if attached to a faith community that attendance becomes sporadic. WHO WE HELP and WHY The target population for the family intervention and stabilization program are
female domestic violence victims and their children; she may be homeless due to leaving a violent home environment. We serve parents with a legal issue that places them at risk of incarceration, leaving the children with a caregiver and the children at risk of being destabilized because of incarceration or domestic violence issue of the parent. We provide a reentry program men and women returning to the homes and community after serving a period of incarceration or absence from their families. The individuals and families we serve are usually living at or below the poverty level. The need to serve these populations of women, children and men is overwhelmingly intertwined. Studies shows (36%) of domestic abuse women/mothers are victims who become incarcerated leaving children as third party victims of the incarceration as well as the abuse. Children left without positive male figures in their lives are more likely to abuse drugs, accept aberrant behaviors as norms. Few studies show the impact primary caregiver absence, incarceration, domestic violence and homelessness have on children long term. Many studies believe children have trauma related symptoms long into their adult relationships which are undocumented. Our services are designed to show adults how to avoid imposing trauma, violence and abuse in any form on children. Women/Criminal Behavior / Violence : Many risk factors can contribute to women's criminal behavior, including substance abuse, mental illness, and spousal abuse. One of the most
significant risk factors is prior victimization (Women Offenders: Programming Needs and Promising Approaches, National Institute of Justice, 1998). We help parents because their children are impacted and are adversely affected by domestic violence, incarceration and primary parental absences. Most of the youth in these families are African American decent or Hispanic, they live in primarily single parent homes. Before incarceration the parents usually receive some type of government assistance such as Medicaid, TANF, SSI, Food Stamps or the primary care giver is divorced, separated or has never been married. The children usually were conceived out of wedlock; the father is absent or has very little presence in the child/youth’s life. If the primary caregiver is working the children receive minimal supervision during nonschool hours, because of limited financial resources, poor community connections and life management skills. never thought i would have to write about an article that included a 6 month old baby being buried because she got shot but now I have too.. As a parent we never want to experience this kind of tragedy and unfornutely a Chicago,Ill family has to experience this horrific Reality. What also transpired and did not get national attention was a 15 year old according to family non-gang member was shot and killed by gang violence because of mistaken identity. This rash of violence in a ciry that is plagued with gang violence already has to stop.. I can never understand why the prosecuting attorney’s won’t use the patriot act
against gang members and the other charges that they are brought up on when they are on trial. When will this sensless violence end? This kid was happy he was getting a chance to IOWA.. Iowa of all places.. There are hardly any black people in Iowa ( we know there is)..
