Summer Solos Concert

“At the Solos Concert on Thursday 18th May, I sang the song Perfect by Ed Sheeran. To be completely honest, it was an utterly nerve-wracking experience! However, once I began to sing, I somehow started to feel the song. I forgot how many people were listening to me and simply put myself into the song I was singing. Afterwards, I heard applause coming from the audience and felt proud of myself. I felt as though I had been rewarded for my work towards my performance.

I am so happy that I took part, as it was a great learning experience for me and it allowed me to practice even more, which is something musicians need to do all the time to get better. I also enjoyed listening to other pupils display their musical talents, especially some of the other singing pieces and violin pieces.

I would highly recommend other pupils with a passion for music to take part in future concerts – it is a wonderful experience, and I am already looking forward to the next one! ”
