Pupils retain Silver Arrow

Building on our previous successes, the John Lyon archery team once again proved their mettle by successfully defending the Silver Arrow against our friends at Harrow School for the eighth consecutive year.

The afternoon of sport was nothing short of fantastic as our team of nine, including

Varun (U6JCC), Dhiren (U6JCC), Flynn (9ND), Rajveer (8JOC), Khush (9SRP), Sarim (L6MEW), Marcus (L6QAC), Gourav (L6MEW) and Leo (L6REM), achieved a remarkable score of 1,571, showcasing their outstanding skill and leading them to victory.

Out of the 16 competing archers, an impressive five from John Lyon secured spots in the top eight, with three of them reaching the top four. This outstanding performance is a testament to the team’s dedication and talent. We extend our congratulations to the entire team on this remarkable achievement. Special recognition goes to Khush, who claimed fourth place overall, Gourav, who secured second place, and Sarim, who emerged as the overall winner of the event.

The thriving presence of archery at John Lyon is evident, and with continued high interest in the sport, we eagerly anticipate further success and growth in the future. n
