How was the photoshoot for JPy magazine? The photoshoot was playful and so much fun! I really liked the outfits! And running around LA with a bunch of awesome ladies … it can’t get any better than that!

What is your favorite fashion style? I really like more modern, sporty + edgy silhouettes - but I still have a sweet spot for bright and cute! I usually wear really dark colors so people take me seriously, but I end up pairing my outfit with something super adorable.

Tell us what you love about LA! Do you have a favorite spot? I love the weather! It’s almost always warm. I think it keeps everyone in a good mood. I’ve always loved Downtown LA and the Arts District. It’s very urban and artistic, and there are so many creative people working on so many different things - it’s SUPER inspiring!

What do you do for fun on weekends? I love spending time with my family and/or my boyfriend. Sleeping in, and eating a late brunch, now that’s my idea of heaven! How do you spend your free time? I’m usually reading articles or books about how I can reinvent myself! I’m constantly getting bored with what I’m doing, so I love trying lots of new things, or at the very least, reading different perspectives! If you had to spend $10,000 today, what would you spend it on? I would give half to the needy, use a quarter to take my parents on a nice vacation, and then probably use the rest on a cute bag or shoes.

What made you start your SNS? What is the most enjoyable part of that? I thought it would be a fun way to express myself, to really write down my thoughts and to document all of the many chapters of my life, down to my style - I feel like I’m always evolving, so it’s a cool way to look back and see how I’ve progressed.

天気が最高！いつも暖かくて過ごしやすくて、この気候はLAに暮らす みんなをハッピーにしてると思う。お気に入りの場所はダウンタウン LAとアートディストリクト。都会的な感性とアートの刺激に溢れてい ているし、常にクリエイティブな人たちが新しいことをやっているの で、すごくインスパイアされる。

始めたきっかけは自分を表現したり、自分の考えを書いたり、起こっ た出来事を自分らしいスタイルで記録しておく面白い方法だと思った から。今は自分がどんな風に成長してるかを振り返るための良い手段 にもなってるの。

Maple syrup: 2 teaspoon Salad oil: 2 tablespoon Water:50ml Natural salt to taste
[Directions] 1. Using a frying pan roast the walnuts for 4-5 minutes then cut them. *Don't overcook them 2. Put ingredients (A) into a bowl and stir well with a whisk. 3. In a different bowl put ingredients (B) and stir well with a whisk. (photo 4) 4. Put 3 into 2, stir using rubber spatula then place 1 (walnuts and berries) and stir. 5. Line baking sheet with oven sheet and place dough equally cut into 9 pieces. (photo 5) 6. Preheat oven to 180°C(350°F) and bake for 15 minutes. Then place them on the net and let it cool without moisture.

［作り方］ 1. フライパンで4～5分ほどくるみを炒り、 粗く切る。 ※焦がさない程度に！ 2. ボウルに （A） の材料を全て入れ泡だて器で混ぜる。 3. 別のボウルに （B） の材料を入れたら泡だて器でよく 混ぜ、 しっかり乳化させる。 （写真4） 4. 2に3を入れて、 ゴムベラで手早く混ぜ、1のくるみ とベリー類も加えて混ぜる。 5. オーブンシートを敷いた天板の上に、 9等分した生 地をのせ、 厚みを均一にする。 （写真5） 6. 180℃に予熱したオーブンで、 15分ほど焼く。 焼け たら網の上に置き、 湿気ないようにしてよく冷ます。

Message from the Publisher Thank you very much for those who came to JPy’s 10th birthday party. Recently, I feel like I know what’s going on with my friends that are connected via SNS even though we haven’t seen each other. It’s so convenient to be connected online, but I feel it’s very important to see each other “face to face” and spend time together. In 2017, even for a little time or with limited space, I would like to plan events where I can see everyone face to face. It would be my pleasure to have more fun and share good times together, so make sure to check on the event information!
