FIRE PITS As a reminder, the current TKPOA Architectural Control Rules (ACR) for fire pits within the Tahoe Keys are: 15.09 Use of charcoal or wood BBQs on decks or near combustible surfaces within the town home subdivisions is strictly prohibited. 15.10 Fire Pits: Only LP gas or natural gas fire pits are permitted in single-family home subdivisions. CC&Rs Article VIII Section 13. Barbecues. There shall be no exterior fires whatsoever except barbecue fires contained within receptacles designed for such purpose.
The City of South Lake Tahoe (CSLT) provides the following additional information and rules on their website for Fire Prevention:
NO OPEN BURNING
The City of South Lake Tahoe does not allow any open burning within the City limits. The exceptions to this are gas fireplaces and BBQ’s that use either LP gas or charcoal.
