ORIGINALLY FROM: I grew up in New England and graduated from the University of Connecticut. During my Air Force career, we lived all over the U.S., Asia, Europe and the Pacific. A little company called Amazon moved us to Reno, and I helped Thrive Market and Zazzle relocate their operations from California to Reno.

My wife, Terry, is a substitute teacher with the Washoe County School District, and she also organizes a weekly breakfast to support the Eddy House. We have three grown children and three grandchildren.

views. YOU ARE CHAIR OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR THE FOOD BANK OF NORTHERN NEVADA. WHY DO YOU WORK WITH THIS ORGANIZATION? During

my Air Force career, I had the opportunity to serve in many humanitarian relief operations around the world, so I looked for a way to contribute my talents to a worthy cause in our community. I was initially introduced to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada as an industry partner helping with food recovery and donations, and as I learned more about their mission, I wanted to find a meaningful way to get more involved. I joined the Board of Directors in 2016, and I currently serve as the Board Chair. Prior to the pandemic, each month the Food Bank provided assistance to 91,000 people through our network of more than 145 partner agencies and direct service programs across Northern Nevada and the Eastern slope of the Sierra in California. I am especially proud of how the Food Bank’s leadership and staff rapidly responded to the increased need for food during the pandemic AND the existing and new partnerships to help us address hunger during the current crisis. The Food Bank enjoys the support of a very energized and engaged Board of Directors, and together with government, business and community leaders, we are able to address food insecurity throughout our service area. I am a proud father of three talented and successful children and grandfather to three precious grandchildren.
