Violet is...

and

...someone I think you should know. When I first met her I could sense the positive energy she projected through her voice. The way she described what she did and what she wanted to do next was motivating and inspiring. We first met at an artist’s open and discussed what we both thought about the work on display. Talked about the artist process and asked each other the "how did they do that?" questions. Afterward, we were introduced to a few more people and everyone shared their stories. All of us answered what we did for a living, if we were artists, what media we work in, and even who told us about the event. All enjoyed adult refreshments, shared social media contacts, and shortly thereafter said goodnight, and left the gallery to other places. Violet told me she worked at "Curate" an art gallery in Rosemary Beach. I asked her if she had been to SoWal House and she said she loved that place as well. A few days go by and our paths cross again at SoWal House. I was taking photographs of Jackson Rohm's performance as well as candid shots. Violet and I said "hey" and I asked her if she wanted to get some photos taken I wouldn’t mind taking them. We said we would connect to find out a good time to schedule the shoot. The images of Violet featured in this issue were from that shoot. It was a chilly "cold" damp late afternoon but ended up being a fun mini-session. She was game to put on her model face to make it happen and she succeeded. We are looking forward to doing a spring shoot when it gets back to Florida weather again.
