heyooo fv kiwis!! so many things happened this April and all of it was amazingggg. a new board has been elected and DCON has passed ! you will not believe how excited i am to be your president!! gah i have so many ideas for this term and i hope you all stick around for it. also, i would like to thank everyone that congratulated me for this position and will continue to support me!! <33 welllll i hope you guys like this newsletter! meet exec JANIE MACH Hey, it's yah girl jayKNEE coming at chu with a get to know me! hehe i'm going to be serving as your 2019-2020 president and i’m very excited! i love seeing all of you guys being interactive and having fun at events. that’s what makes serving this term so amazing! i've been in KIWIN’S for all my years in high school cuz i sincerely love this club and i hope you love it as much as i do. other than that here are some crazy things you should know about me! i can bite down into a popsicle without feeling any pain! oh and i hatteeeeee sushi and poké don't @ me... raw fish is slimy and gross! i spend most of my free time napping or on netflix and hulu kek you can see my crying moments on sc (subtle plug: janiemach1) also, my fav social media platform has got to be instagram! (subtle plug pt. 2: @esjanie) anywhooo, i love meeting new people so when you see me say hi! you can also feel free to message me anytime. i hope to see you guys around! <33
DYLAN NGUYEN Howdy y’all its ur boi dylan back at it again as ur 2019-2020 fountain valley KIWIN’S vice president! KIWIN’S has played such an important role in my life for the past 3 years, and has exposed me to a variety of wonderful people and opportunities (when u copy from ur literature uwu)! ive been able to develop myself through this club and am now ready to serve as ur new and improved vp (bye cla)! fun facts about me: i like music, i enjoy traveling (even tho ive only been out of state once if you don’t count vegas ;/), and i can do a cartwheel (?) you can usually catch me chillin’ at events, cryin over my luv johnston, or simping ;D add me on snap @dylannguyenn and follow me on ig @dlngu yeet :)
MINH PHAN HEYYOO!! It's ya boy Minh Phan. Joining KIWIN'S this year has taught me a lot and I cannot wait to repay the club by serving as your 2019-2020 Treasurer. I am currently a sophomore and upcoming junior. One of my main goal, besides raising a lot of money to create fun events for you guys, is to connect many clubs on campus with KIWIN’S. This way you guys can have an opportunity to interact with people outside of our club ! So who am I ? I am nerd, who likes business and math, and trying hard in school to get in Ivy League :P I LOVE everything that has matcha or green tea in it, especially ice cream! I like watching horror movie but I am too scared to watch it by myself. Fun fact: I haven’t watch IT or Birdbox, so if you are planning to watch them invite me :D !! Anyway, besides that I just want to let you guys know that if you need someone to talk to I am always free to hear your story. So don’t afraid to send me a message whenever you need help (my ig is @minh.a.phan) Yeah yeah that’s your Treasurer for 2019-2020 term, and I am really excited to get closer with you guys!! Joining KIWIN'S this year has been one of the best decisions that I've made because I was able to meet such amazing people and create memories. I can't wait to meet more wonderful members and be able to build more bonds. I have many hobbies such as bullet journaling, oil painting, calligraphy, and singing. KATY NGUYEN Hey cuties! I’m Katy Nguyen and excited to be serving as your 2019-2020 Corresponding Secretary! I’m going to be an incoming junior, stressful year ahead, but YOU GUYS are the ones that keep me going. My goal for this term is to get to know all of the FV Kiwinners in the club. I joined KIWIN’S my freshman year, and served as publicist during the past term. I also serve on Jet Divisional Leadership Team, as your bulletin editor (lol if you haven’t realized I luv grApHic dEsign hehe). I spend my free time crying and laughing over K-dramas, and bulletjournalling (sublte plug @katystudys) Fun fact: I haven’t seen any Avengers movie yet, so don’t spoil Endgame :00. meet appoi JESSICA NGUYEN Hi!!! I’m Jessica, your 2019-2020 technology chair! I’m currently a freshman going into 10th grade. I’m super excited for this term and I can’t wait to meet more people and make more memories :)) KIWIN’S has literally changed my life and I can’t wait to serve my favorite club! One of my goals this term is to get closer to all of you guys ;) For people who don’t know me, I love to bake, poke belly buttons, nap, eat, and volunteer. I love Japanese cuisine and would love to visit Japan so I could eat authentic sushi, ramen, udon, and more! I also love to write and am apart of Baron Banner, your favorite newspaper! If you ever see me at an event, don’t be afraid to say hi and be prepared to have your belly button poked ;))) I hope you guys are all FEELING GOOD and ready to make it the best year yet!
TESSA THAN Heyoo Kiwins!! I am Tessa Than, your 2019-2020 publicist! Next year, I'll be a junior, ik pretty scary ._. I joined this club this year, as a sophomore and lemme tell you, I've met so many of the best people here. I'm pretty antisocial and I get nervous talking to others, but this club has really taught me to be more open to meeting new people and understand the meaning of volunteering and helping others. By ALL means, come and talk to me whenever you are feeling awkward or shy, I completely understand and I will gladly chat with you! A little about myself, I am on the track team and I love love love watching the Good Doctor <333 I also love hanging out with my friends so HMU! I can't explain how excited I am to be apart of this year's appointed board and I am so ready to make a lot of fun memories!! I can't wait :D
EMILY VO Hiya friendos I’m your 2019-2020 historian!! It’s ma job to take pictures and videos of everyone at events and socials. Beware my desire for taking embarrassing photos cause I will come for you heheh >:) If you don’t know I’m currently a Freshman and an upcoming Sophomore. I may seem a bit quiet and awkward at first but I promise I open up once I get to know people better! For my term I hope to create better connections and bonds between all of the members in the club, and keep everyone interested and active throughout the year (cause people tend to get burnt out including me oof). Outside of kiwis, my life consists of binging Netflix 24/7, procrastinating, and maybe hanging out with friends if I feel social enough.. I'm very excited to meet new members and work along side my board members this new term. Currently, I am a sophomore going into junior year (yuK). In my free time, I like binge watching kdramas and hanging out with my friends. I loveee chocolate chips cookies, soft serve, frozen yogurt, fruit, and fries. Plus boba ahhh they're my guilty pleasures. Another thing you should know about me is that I'm on our school's track and field team ! Usually I'm an open and friendly person to come talk to (if im not dead eheh sorry in advance) so please feel free to come up and start up a convo with me! A goal I have this term is to make people feel more involved, welcomed, and comfortable while they're spending their time with FV KIWIN'S. TERESA DO HEY GUYS! I'm Teresa Do and I'll be your activities chair for this term :). I'm currently a freshman and I'll be a upcoming sophomore. Here are a couple things if you didn't already know about me! I'm a huge fan of Taylor Swift, in my free time I love to do watercolor paintings and calligraphy, and uh I'm kinda awkward sometimes... But, besides that I love meeting new people so don't be afraid to come and talk to me! My goal for this term is for everyone have a great time at socials & events. Natalie has been a member of Fountain Valley KIWIN’S for a whole term now and it’s amazing to see how much she’s been able to grow both as a person and a member. There are many, who eventually lose passion for KIWIN’S as their dedication towards the club begins to falter, however Natalie has been able to consistently prove that this doesn’t apply to her. She has been there for most, if not all, events that we had this year and embodies the meaning behind a true KIWIN’S member. Members like Natalie are the reason why our organization is so great! She’s hard working, devoted, and always makes sure to welcome new members into her ohana!
