FIRST THINGS FIRST. DETERMINE YOUR "WHY" What's your reason for doing this business? Of course we all fall in love with the product and get excited to share these healing bottles of magic, but it needs to be deeper than that. Take a look at the income disclosure statement www.youngliving.com/ids and study those average monthly income numbers. They are REAL numbers. Many people make far more than the average. What would it mean for your family to have financial freedom? Would it mean to no longer live paycheck-topaycheck? Would it mean you could be at home with your kids? Cover your car payment? Could you retire your husband from a job he doesn't love? You could move to a city you've always wanted to live in. You could travel the world like you've always wanted. You could actually have the funds to do the things you're really passionate about, but always considered a "pipe-dream." Need help figuring out your WHY? Try Jill Oncall's 7 Levels of Why printable exercise in the Biz Hub. Write down your WHY, and stick it up somewhere you will see it regularly (your bathroom mirror, for example). When things get tough and aren't going the way you want them to, always refer back to your WHY. Naturally, your WHY will change over time. Keep adding to this and making your dream bigger! Your why is what will keep you accountable for when things get uncomfortable + push you to reach outside your comfort zone.

Then you share that love with friends, family & community helping them to fall in love, teach them to share, get their products paid for and grow. LIMITING BELIEFS If we want to change our success and bank balance, we’ll need to change something we currently believe to be true. Which of these LIMITING BELIEFS do you need to stir up, chew on and spit out?

I am not unique enough AKA I don’t have anything different to offer from others who share the same product OR I don’t know how to stand out from the crowd. The truth is you are unique, you just haven’t figured out how you’ll make a difference in the world.

I don't know what I want AKA I prefer to stay confused or overwhelmed or unsure because it sure beats having to take responsibility or decisive action or a risk. The truth is you do know, you just need to choose some goals and get to work. Get quiet and listen to your souls passion and get yourself into alignment without the noise of the world.

I don't have time AKA ‘I’m too busy’ is much easier than ‘what if I really do try and I fail?’ The truth is you’ve got as much time as every other person on the planet. Change your habits, change your life.

I don't want to waste my time or money AKA waiting for a unicorn called ‘100% guaranteed’. The truth is you can’t waste time or money, as long as you are learning, doing, and learning from the doing. Friends, are only investment is in products are family are using anyways. Win-Win.

Other people must know something I don't AKA I’d rather look outward and blame than look inward and own. The truth is whatever they know, you can learn it too.

I can do it myself, I don't need help AKA some screwed up delusion of what it really takes. The truth is no one got anywhere alone. The beauty of this business is we have mentors sharing valuable information daily and cheering us on. Be coachable. PURE CULTURE 08


...MORE LIMITING BELIEFS I'm not good enough or as good as them AKA I'd rather be poor than be courageous enough to learn and do whatever it takes. The truth is you can become good at anything if you put in the time and practice.

I have to change__ before I can__ AKA I can’t be bothered to do that right now. The truth is you’ll never feel ready.

I will be judged AKA I’d rather be liked by everyone and broke, rather than suffer the uneducated judgement of few and be financially resilient. The truth is you are being judged no matter what. You may as well stop caring so much. It's only the people doing less than us who have something to say, never the person doing more. Don't let the ignorant keep you small. Never take advice from someone you wouldn't trade places with.

I tried that, it didn't work AKA I want success to happen now! I’m tired of trying and it's taking too long. The truth is failure is your friend and all that matters is that you keep trying until you find a way. Success never happened overnight. Fail falling forward.

YOUR MINDSET Think: 4 Year Career by Richard Bliss Brooke Many people are willing to go to collage for 4 years and graduate with student loan debt, just to get a job that pays $50,000/year (working for someone else). They usually work for 40 years to hopefully have a mortgage paid off before they retire, if they're lucky. So why not commit 4 years to a career where you could retire at the end of 4 years, debt free, making a 6 or 7 figure income the rest of your life.

Think: I believe in me You'll never make more than you believe your worth. If this hits home for you, dig in and work on your relationship with yourself and worthiness. Let's crush those limiting BS (belief system) stories! Read the books + listen to the podcast recommendations on the previous page.

Think: Do it scared You don't know the answer to every question. You learn as you grow. About the naysayers, are you really going to allow a FEW determine the MANY you can serve? Confidence grows by you using the products and sharing. What got me over my fear was realizing these oils have helped my family overcome so much. We are our own worst enemy, so conquer that inner fear and just take tiny steps towards pursing what you love!

Think: Where your focus goes, energy flows If you’re going to set a plan for a business in motion, you better get your head right. If you just kinda, maybe want to try it and see if it makes you rich, good luck to you. You need to decide ahead of time you are getting the results you wanted when you said YES! What your business actually needs from you is this: 1. 100% certainty that the thing is taking off 2. A crystal clear bottom line to run toward 3. A complete and total belief in the product + yourself 4. A list of things you’re going to replace with work in this season 5. An emotional connection to the work you’re doing 6. A commitment of hours you’re going to put in — no excuses. 7. An understanding of your competition and why what you offer is better. Way, way, better. 8. An excitement level that shoots out of your face each time you talk about what you do.

Think: I will not fail. The only way you can fail is if you quit.

Think: I am never behind Behind what? Behind who? Everyone started at different chapters. Different stages and are in different seasons. You're here for you and your family, not for anyone else. So this concept that you're behind is a made up story that makes you feel bad about yourself. You're exactly where you need to be. Never compare! The moment you compare, it will have you shutting down, hiding and keeping you from results, which will create more judgement on yourself. It'll never serve you. Stay the course and play the long game.

HIT THE PV PROMOS You must be enrolled in Essential Rewards and on a minimum of 100PV order per month, in order to earn commissions. However, try to hit as many (if not ALL in the early stages) of the promos as you can, not only to be teach your members about promos, but also so you can experience as many products as possible. Young Living has over 600 products, so getting at minimum 4 free items per month will help you build your own experiences and testimonials. Not only that, what you do will reflect what your team + future team does - set a good example and share with integrity. We're business owners and if we're not shopping from our own store, this is absolutely not good for business.

YOUR VOICE I’m going to give you alllllll the secrets! But first, you're going to need two things: 1. Your starter kit OR top 5 favourite products 2. Your voice That’s it. The rest of the stuff you “think” you need is just extra. Simplicity is power. Complexity is confusion and chaos. You’re there to educate people on Young Living and wellness. They do not care if you have a branded table cloth or if your napkins matched the dessert plates or if your social media is perfect. Those things are cool, but unnecessary. And trust me, I’ve been on the other side. The perfectionism side, the over thinking, analysis paralysis. But it’s exhausting. It’s total chaos. And the more time you spend searching for the perfect tablecloth is time away from IPAs and working. The people who have been successful in this business have mastered the power of simplicity. Our goal is to take this wellness lifestyle and business and make it simple, easy to access and easy to apply. We want others to look at it and say, “Yeah, I can do that!” Empowering them to make the change. Not stressing them out with overcomplicating it. We live in a society that is addicted to making things harder than they really are. Needing more. Needing to do more. Needing to have more. Leave that mindset at the door. Get your starter kit out or top 5 to 10 favourite products. Set it up. Turn on your diffuser. And share the one thing you have that no one else has to offer, your voice + story.

INCOME-PRODUCING ACTIVITIES AKA "IPAS" Getting people enrolled is the first thing you need to do to grow your business, and it's the thing you'll keep doing at each rank, and beyond. The recipe is always the same. This recipe comes in the form of the 3 main IncomeProducing Activities (or IPAs): 1. GET PEOPLE ENROLLED 2. GET PEOPLE ORDERING & ON ESSENTIAL REWARDS 3. GET PEOPLE SHARING

IPA #1: ENROLL connecting in person

The whole idea is to share Young Living with friends, family, people in your community, people online, or new acquaintances. Start conversations. Love on people. Share your enthusiasm. Be excited about Young Living! Your job is find creative, authentic, and consistent ways to present the opportunity of YL to people. Some people you'll connect with through social media and some in person.

IPA #2: GET PEOPLE ORDERING Equally important to getting people enrolled, is getting people on Essential Rewards (ER) and ordering regularly. This is important for two reasons. 1. ER is the only real measuring stick to your teams impact. They're swapping products + making changes. Plus it's the most economical way to get their products and FREE stuff! 2. ER is the most sustainable way to grow your business and creates residual income. PURE CULTURE 13


IPA #3: GET PEOPLE SHARING This is the real magic. As of today, in our team of over 6,000 members, I have about 80 personally enrolled members still active. Why? Because I have invested almost all of my energy into helping others in my team build their businesses. If you will full embrace IPA #3, your team will grow so much faster. This is where the bulk of your growth and numbers will come from.

One of the best ways is to encourage people to share early! Always provide them their enrollment link immediately. Offer to come teach a class for them, or host an online event that they can invite people to, or whatever the method is. Enrolling is a part of membership - make it simple and normal from the start. You're simply providing your member their referral member, which in turn will allow them to make money and discount their health products.

Send this PDF to anyone and everyone in your team. Once they understand how simple this business is, they're likely to jump in and start naturally sharing. People share what they love.

Share the income disclosure statement with people. Remind them that this is a real opportunity, real numbers, and an amazing company to get behind.

Your goral is to get builders to silver asap! They could hit silver with 80-120 members. That's them enrolling 12 who enroll 10 each within the first few weeks of the business, they could literally hit silver that fast! When people hit silver, that is when the real income begins! Get your people to silver ASAP by making this business fun and simple. Mary Young says, "I love the rank of Silver. It means you caught the tail of the comet. The sky is the limit."

Get people to in person events! Events build leaders! People walk away a better person than they came and totally prepared with the mindset and the tools to take their business to a whole new level. Whenever you see a team event figure out a way to get there! The connection and community from being in person is intangible; people come for the products, but stay for the community. Young Livings Grand Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah is hands down an non-negotiable and one of the most powerful events! Save the date because it happens in the middle of June every year! Our team goes for 5 to 7 days and its so much fun, not to mention we get to visit our Mona, Utah farm and witness Seed to Seal first hand!

CLASSES If you want to move fast, you will want to do one class a week. If you want to go at a slower pace, once a month. Having no classes = no movement. Not showing up on social media with no value = no movement. If you do mostly online classes, I double dog dare you to do an in-person class. If you do mostly in home classes, I triple dog dare you to do an online class. YOU are in charge of your pace! But also, you are not here to keep doing the same thing. NOPE. Challenge and stretch thyself. There are many ways to have a class, but if you're new, or starting over, we recommend keeping it simple and going over your Premium Starter Kit. The box tells you what to do--simply go through each oil and tell people how you use them. Show them the value of the kit and the lifestyle change it provides. Do you like scripts? Use one! Do you like to just go with it? Then do that and go live. There are so many ways to teach a class--the right way is the way that suits YOUR personality and not someone else's.

If you need a script, the product guide goes through Seed to Seal, and what each oil in the kit is good for. Heck, even use the Get Started Guide we provided you and teach a class from the book. Go through and highlight the points you want to get across or type up a new document. NETWORK MARKETING means you market to different networks. Offer a hostess incentive to friends who came to your last class if they will invite 30 of their friends to a class. And don't make it a lame incentive. What would get your booty into gear wanting to have a class?

WHEN YOU GET A NEW CUSTOMER ENROLMENT...

Add them to Pure Culture ...as well as any other upline leader usage group you find valuable. Let member know you’ve added them, whose group it is, and what it’s for. Then, welcome them in the weekly Welcome Wednesday post in Pure Culture.

Send them a welcome Package Find the Welcome Package post in Purely Biz Hub or www.livepureculture.ca. This has printouts, ideas and inspiration on what to include with it. You can keep it simple or go all out! (If you don't have your login to the team website send an email to karlie@lettucechange.com)

Follow up

Ask if they've received their order and answer their questions. Keep the relationship your first priority, and don’t make it ALL about oils now. If you're friends, still make time to hang out. If you're not close, still make the effort to build the relationship and ask them about themselves, and show an interest in their life.

Show them resources Direct them to the Life Steps App. This app has a searchable "Resource" category full of spotlight products, videos and shareable resources! Its free, with an optional pro-upgrade to unlock even more tools, business specific. Search "FAVOURITE REFERENCE MATERIAL" in Pure Culture for our favourite list. Plug them into classes SUPER IMPORTANT! When people are plugged in and attending classes, they’re going to be more excited about this lifestyle and re-ordering. People come for the products, but stay for the community.

Help them get onto ER If they are not yet on Essential Rewards and you’ve explained that it is the best way to reorder and why, and they are still hesitant, it means they need more education. No more pushing for ER, time to seriously get them plugged into fun classes and events that educate on the uses of other YL products. If they are not actually watching and attending the online classes (don't sweat, this is common), invite them to your in-person classes. Host one at your home! Here are a few ideas: Make 'n Takes Detox Your Home Girls Night In (YL’s skincare and makeup) Lucy Libido (Hormones and bedroom talk) Show up on social and talk about ER + the lifestyle to demystify its benefits! REPLACING what you already have with a better option, and getting FREE stuff along the way.

Offer to teach a class for them, and share the opportunity to get their oils paid for!

WHEN YOU GET A NEW BRAND PARTNER... Host a class for them with their friends + family. If they don’t live local, offer to Zoom in and have them get people round, OR empower them to run the class themselves. A great way to help get a member excited about the opportunity and everything it can provide for them is by sending them the book The Four Year Career - Young Living Edition by Richard Bliss Brooke. You could also have one that you lend to local members. We have a PDF copy in Purely Biz Hub. Send them THIS system document and have them print it to read and use as a step-by-step guide. Add them to Purely Biz Hub and any other upline business group you deem necessary. Be sure to have them go through the pinned post and table of contents. Refer them to the “Member Resources” section, in the VO. Tons of product education and business resources available there for them to use, and learn from.
