Day Camp Policies Day Camp Drop-Off/Pick-Up Procedures Day Campers are to be dropped off between 9:00–9:30AM. Adults authorized to pick-up children (including parents) will be required to show identification at pick-up. A Sign-Out Waiver Form must be completed by both parent and child for a camper to be allowed to sign him/herself in and out of Kroc Programs. When a child is given the authority to sign him/herself out, he/she is no longer in the care of The Kroc Center staff and standard Kroc Center membership policies apply. 24-hour notification is needed for late drop-off or early pick-up if the event has been pre-planned. A phone call to the Youth Coordinator in the case of unexpected absence or schedule changes is required. Consistent late pick-ups may be penalized with a fee. Waiver/Medical Forms Each student must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver (on the after school enrollment form) and supply correct and updated medical information in regards to their child(ren). Waiver(s) must be completed and signed prior to participation, preferably at time of registration. Medication Distribution In the case of medication distribution, parents must complete a Right to Distribute Medication Form. This releases The Kroc Center from liability for medication that is required for distribution for the health of a child. Medication must be dropped off to Youth Coordinators in the original prescription container with your child’s name printed on the label and placed in a plastic bag. Medication will be stored in Youth Coordinator’s office and administered at the time(s) and in the amount designated by the Right to Distribute Medication Form. Parents must sign out medication at the end of each day and check back in the following day. Any medication not brought in the appropriate container may preclude participation for your child on that day. Inclusion If you foresee your child needing special accommodations and support, please fill out an Inclusion Request Form.

Kroc Church

Come as you are. You’re invited to join us every Sunday at 10am in the Worship Theater and celebrate the hope of glory. At The Salvation Army Kroc Center, we strive to live out the reality of the gospel from the heart of Coeur d’Alene. As God welcomes us just as we are, so we welcome you.

A celebration of the gospel. At Kroc Church, we don’t gather to put on a show or impress one another. We strive to be honest about who we are, and our goal is to simply glorify God with our lives; it is the grace of God that motivates us. We hope to point our community to Jesus. Kroc Church is simply a group of people with a common desire to follow and love Jesus. Being part of The Salvation Army Kroc Center allows us a number of different ways to create community. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you find yourself in life, if you want to get closer to Jesus and you want to build Christian community, we would love to have you join us.

You’re invited to come worship with us. Main Service: All ages welcome, 10am, Worship Theater

Families Feeding Families One meal can make a big difference.

Take a bag. Feed a family. Every year local families don’t get a Thanksgiving meal as they struggle to make ends meet. For the third year in a row, The Kroc Center will be working with area non-profits to provide food to families in need. Our goal is to feed over 300 families this year. How to Help Donate! Pick up a shopping list at the front desk or download at www.kroccda.org. Take your family shopping for the list of items, and return to The Kroc by November 20.

How to Help Donate! $100 can make sure a child will be kept warm and dry this winter. Volunteer! Each child is paired with an adult shopping chaperone to help them pick out the clothing they need most.

Interested in the relationship between art and church?

Featuring the stories of families and educators immersed in the high-stakes, high-pressure culture that has invaded our schools, Race to Nowhere is a call to mobilize communities to challenge current assumptions on how to best prepare the youth of America as healthy, bright, contributing and leading citizens. Discussion topics following the film include how we can better prepare our youth, how we define achievement, and how we can make choices that support the healthy development of young people and our community.

Learn to swim Level 3: Stroke development

There are five levels in the Learn to Swim Program. Each level includes the teaching and assessment of swimming and water safety skills. Students are moved through the progressive levels as they accomplish the skills required at each level. Please note that a student may remain at the same level for multiple sessions until they master the skills necessary to advance to the next level. The lessons are taught in small group classes by Certified American Red Cross Instructors and Aides. Kroc Instructors make swimming lessons fun and help confidence.
