KROC CHURCH SUNDAYS AT 10AM

KROC CHURCH

Kroc Church is a place where community members from all walks of life gather to study the Bible, worship God, spend time with friends and serve our community in many ways. We aim to be followers of Jesus 24/7, and Sunday mornings we have an opportunity to gather together and worship as a family.

ENCOURAGE, EQUIP & ENGAGE: OUR CHURCH DNA

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY SUNDAYS AT 10AM CHECK-IN STARTS AT 9:45AM

NURSERY: 3 MONTHS–3 YEARS

Drop-off/Pick-up at the Play Care check in desk Little ones in the nursery are well cared for by our wonderful volunteers who nurture with the love of God. They bring the message of the Bible to the children in simple, easy to understand terms.

HUCKLEBERRIES: PRE-K & KINDERGARTEN

Drop-off/Pick-up at the Play Care check in desk Huckleberry Hollow is where our most curious and active age group meets. Kids will have plenty of fun while learning a meaningful Bible lesson. Bible verse memorization is encouraged through simple movement. Children must be fully potty trained and wearing socks.

KROC KIDS, SMALL GROUPS: 1ST–5TH GRADES

At Kroc Church, we Encourage, Equip & Engage (E3) on a daily basis as we strive to glorify God with our lives. We encourage one another into a relationship with Jesus Christ, and into healthy relationships with one another. We equip with the truth of God’s Word so that we can face our daily struggles, and we engage our community by making a difference in the lives of other people, by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, and by serving in His name.

FAMILY SUNDAYS

FIRST SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH, FREE JAN 6, FEB 3, MAR 3, APR 7, MAY 5 & JUN 2

Drop-off/Pick-up at the Play Care check in desk This is where the fun begins! Children will engage in small group discussions where they share how they can apply what they learned from scripture to everyday life. Prayer and worship are a focus in the lesson each week.

KROC TEENS, MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL

Community Rooms, 10:00AM Join our Middle and High School youth for a time of discovery, discussion, and (most weeks) donuts! Learn how the Bible applies to your life and to the problems and challenges that are unique to you and your peers.

On the first Sunday of each month following our church service, please join us for a free community meal. Fun, food and fellowship!

Kroc Church Easter Service Sunday, April 21 at 10am Kroc Center Closed except for Easter Service.

KROC CHURCH

It is more important than ever to protect the hearts, minds and bodies of the young girls in our community! This fun, experiential program encourages young girls to meet new friends, learn new skills and grow in their relationships with Jesus!

A LETTER FROM MAJOR RONDA GILGER

How many times have we packed and unpacked, as The Salvation Army reassigned us to “go and serve”? Don and I met and fell in love as I moved to Spokane from South Lake Tahoe, California where I'd grown up. It was also there that we first met The Salvation Army—and discovered what would be the beginning of our own life callings. How their international mission became ours: to practically serve in a way that gave dignity, value and having the potential to change lives. Who would have ever imagined the journey we’d make together across the Western United States, 30+ countries, and most recently, Moldova over the last 3 years as we stabilized the work, projects, and developed the leaders of each of Armata Salvarii’s locations in that country.

Build Christ-filled relationships and celebrate the word of God!

Home Sweet Home Coeur d’Alene

Don and I earned degrees and raised a family of four children along the way (3 girls and 1 son). Noelle, Erin, Alyssa, and Matthew are forging their own great paths and raising their own families—and these are some of our finest achievements! I dare say that we have been changed by each experience and the people who have become part of our lives. Now, unpacking once again, we can’t help but wonder how it is that we have been so blessed. The surrounding beauty of nature of this place has left us breathless. And then I look deeper— I listen and see the overwhelming opportunities and potential for The Kroc Center. Some of our greatest resources for the future are embodied by those who are investing back into this great “dream” and we are moved by the generosity of each donor, member and employee as the sharing of themselves. There is not a day that goes by that we don’t hear stories of success. We are inspired daily. And for the record; “We’re putting our roots down deep— Home Sweet Home Coeur d’Alene!”

• Buoyancy: This water property allows people to do exercises that are difficult on land. Depending on the water level you will only be impacting 20–25% of your body weight. No pounding or jarring, just less impact. • Resistance: There is continual resistance to every move you make. The water alone offers 12%–14% more resistance than when you exercise on land. No equipment is necessary to increase strength. • Heart Rate: The hydrostatic pressure of water pushes equally on all body surfaces and helps the heart circulate blood by aiding blood flow back to the heart. This results in lower blood pressure and heart rates during deep-water exercise verses similar exercise on land. Consequently, your heart rate is an estimated 10–15 beats lower per minute during suspended water exercise than for the same effort applied on land. • Cooling Effects: Water disperses heat more efficiently, so there is less chance of overheating. The water continuously cools the body. Exercise in the water is cooler and more comfortable than it is on land.

Learn to climb at any age and discover new outdoor adventures!

Troy and Katie love that there is something for their whole family at The Kroc Center. Katie recommends Aqua Blast for a really good workout. Twins Rylan and Kamryn play basketball in the gym and climb the rock wall on a weekly basis during the cold months. Kamryn also really enjoys seeing plays in the theater—CYT’s production of Annie is her personal favorite. Little Ethan loves pool time and playing with new friends in Play Care.

In the case of medication distribution, parents must complete a Right to Distribute Medication Form. This releases The Kroc Center from liability for medication that is required for distribution for the health of a child. Medication must be dropped off to Camp Coordinators in the original prescription container with your child’s name printed on the label and placed in a plastic bag. Medication will be stored in Camp Coordinator’s office and administered at the time(s) and in the amount designated by the Right to Distribute Medication Form. Parents must sign out medication at the end of each day and check back in the following day. Any medication not brought in the appropriate container may preclude camp participation for your child on that day.

ILLNESS AND INJURIES

Day Camp is not designed or equipped to handle ill children. If your camper becomes ill while at Camp Kroc, our staff will make your child comfortable in an area away from the other campers. Our staff will then contact you (the parent) or one of the individuals you have authorized to pick up your child. If immediate medical attention is needed or if the severity of an injury cannot be correctly established, parents will be notified immediately. The Emergency Medical System (911) will be activated at the discretion of Camp Coordinators and/or Camp Counselors. If staff are unable to reach parents whose child is in need of immediate medical attention, he/she will be transported to the nearest hospital via ambulance and staff will continue to attempt to contact parents. Parents/guardians will be responsible for all emergency medical care expenses.
