Turbokick™

This class is a fusion of Latin and International dance music themes that create an exciting, unique and fun fitness class! The routines feature aerobic interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. FOR MORE ZUMBA®, See Gym

Aerobic Kickboxing brings martial arts moves into a group exercise atmosphere by combining non-competitive, no contact, aerobic and anaerobic drills using variations of martial arts skills.

Zumba® Toning

This class provides a full body workout and focuses on increasing core strength and flexibility. Participants will learn to link breath to movement and combine balance and control. Participants may use small hand weights, bands or balls. Instruction will incorporate all levels of fitness and will provide modifications. Beginning through advanced participants will enjoy this class.

Pilates This course teaches you how to blend body-sculpting techniques and specific Zumba® moves into one calorie-burning, strength-training class. You’ll learn how to use weights to enhance rhythm, build strength and tone all the target zones.

Group Strength Strengthen and tone all the major muscle groups with a variety of resistance exercises combined with cardio intervals. This class will use dumbbells, elastic bands, gravity based moves, and/or stability ball.

NIa This class combines moves from nine forms of dance, fitness and martial arts, NIA empowers you by connecting your body, mind, and emotions. NIA is fun and easily adapted for a gentle, medium or intense workout.

Extra Gentle Stretch and Tone This class provides an extra gentle, relaxed workout using an easy does it approach that is designed to improve posture, increase range of motion, flexibility, strength, along with breathing techniques. Students in this class have the option of sitting or standing while exercising. This class is recommended for injury recovery and for people who have physical limitations.

Gentle Stretch and Tone This class combines gentle stretching and toning movements with breathing techniques and is designed to improve flexibility, balance, range of motion, concentration, and muscle tone. The class emphasizes proper alignment during movement postures making it a perfect fit for the beginner or advanced student who wants to move and learn at a slower gentler pace. This class is opened to all ability levels. If you have any health conditions please let your instructor know prior to class.

Stretch & Tone Enjoy stretching and toning all muscle groups while you develop flexibility, strength and stamina. This class will enhance your physical and mental strength by linking flowing sequences of movement and breathing techniques. Benefits include increased range of motion, concentration and muscle tone. Modifications will be given to allow students of all ability levels to participate. A slower gentle approach is offered in the Gentle Stretch and Tone class. If you have any health conditions please let your instructor know prior to class.

Stretch and Tone: kids ‘n’ me This class is designed for children. Kids will develop flexibility, strength, balance, listening skills and confidence in a fun social atmosphere. Children must be accompanied by an adult. (18+). Adults are encouraged to participate. Open to ages 2+.

Shake and Tone This high intensity class is an exciting blend of dance, mat and light weight work. Enjoy an exhilarating dance and weight workout set to the beat of motivating music. Burning calories has never been so fun. 4 winter/Spring 2012

open Ballroom Dancing Tuesdays, Starts Jan. 3 7:30–9:45pm, fitness studio Come and Swing, Fox Trot, and Waltz to your favorite ballroom tunes. Open Ballroom is not a formal dance class but a time to practice. Meet new friends, share dance steps with others and enjoy gliding across the beautiful maple wood floor. No advanced sign-up needed. Boot Camp Fitness This challenging strength and conditioning class will get you into peak physical condition by integrating functional strength training, cardio intervals and core strengthening. A wide range of indoor and outdoor drills (seasonally) will be the focus of this class.

Zumba® This class is a fusion of Latin and International dance music themes that create an exciting, unique and fun fitness class! The routines feature aerobic interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.

Pickleball This sport for all ages is played on a badminton court with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and paddles. It is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. No class pass required!

Bring receipt for entry into class. trx® suspension training® This Fitness coach led, flex fee class is a revolutionary training program. Suspension Training® is an innovative method of leveraged body weight exercise. Safely perform hundreds of exercises that build power, strength, flexibility, balance, mobility, and prevent injuries, all at the intensity you choose. Ages 18+.

Stroller Strides™ Moms! Bring your baby in a stroller and join in this 45 minute class. Stroller Strides™ is a total fitness program that moms can do with their babies. It includes power walking and intervals of strength and body toning exercises using exercise tubing, the stroller and the environment. Taught by certified and specially trained fitness instructors, it is a great workout for any level of exerciser. Maximum age limit for babies attending the class is 2 years old.

Class Descriptions Deep Water Cardio sculpt Kick it up a notch with this fast, no-impact class designed to build cardiovascular strength while creating muscle tone. Participants must feel comfortable in deep water. Flotation belts and other equipment are provided on a first-come, first served basis.

aqua blast This high intensity water aerobics class provides routines for stretching, toning, and cardiovascular improvement. The cushioning effect of the water reduces stress on the joints, and its cooling effect keeps the body from overheating during strenuous exercises.

Wave Runners Wave Runners is a high intensity water based fitness program that provides the benefits of little to no impact on joints, expands lung capacity, as well as providing the benefits of weight and resistance training of a traditional gym. This program is unique because it is a rigorous cross-training of water jogging, swimming, water aerobics, modified plyometrics, and traditional strength and cardio-vascular exercises.

Water for lunch Join us weekdays and choose Water for Lunch followed by a quick bite at your desk. Workouts are designed to rotate between long slow distances, sprints, and will even mix in some IM days. This class can be taken as a monthly program.

Masters adult swim Team Are you an adult (19–108 years old) interested in stroke improvement, swim team workouts and camaraderie? The coach and team members invite you to join the team and turn your determination into liquid speed. Fitness, competitive, and triathlon swimmers are welcome. Aqua Zumba!® Are you ready to add a little spice to your day? Join us for this high energy workout incorporating dance moves and aerobics. Zumba® is a “feel-happy” work out that is good for the body and the mind.

Cardio Core Enjoy all the benefits of a land workout without the impact on your joints. This class is taught in a shallow area and enables the participant to work at their own pace, providing an overall body workout and focus on core muscle strength.

Hydro-Maniacs Looking for a creative aquatic training regime? Hydro-Maniacs is a challenging, energizing and fun class designed to give you a full body workout. Exercises will focus on range of motion, core muscle strength and cardio training. Students will transition between shallow and deep water and will use resistance and buoyancy equipment.

Deep Water Running Runners and triathletes will love the training benefits of Deep Water Running. This class uses high and low cadence deep water running to improve your cardio conditioning, run specific muscle endurance, turnover and functional running strength. Results are amazing! Whatever your sport, building endurance and preventing injuries increases your enjoyment and possibilities for success. Deep water running is an excellent low impact way to reduce stress on the joints, stay cool while training, prevent injuries, recover from injuries, and as an alternative to training outdoors on snowy wet days. Join the fun in the water and leave your shoes in the locker.

Tips for safe and healthy swimming Help us keep the pool safe and healthy for everyone! + Children 3 & under must wear a swim diaper and plastic pants with full elastic legs and waist. + Children ages 6 years and younger must be within an adult’s (18 years+) reach at all times. + Children 7–10 must be directly supervised by an adult (15+). + Parents are ultimately responsible for the safety and well being of their children. + Please shower to remove any lotions, makeup or perfumes prior to entering the pool. + Do not use the pool if you show any signs of illness or had diarrhea in the last two weeks. + Lifeguards are the final authority on rules and regulations in the pool area. Please note: Maintaining a clean and healthy swim environment is of the utmost importance at The Kroc Center. You can help by having your family follow the tips listed above. The Kroc pool will close immediately for 30 minutes to 24 hours if an illness or bathroom incident occurs in the swim area. Health and safety protocols are conducted prior to reopening the pool.

Cove Pool Unless otherwise noted, the minimum age for fitness classes is 13-14 years with an adult, and 15+ without an adult. Exceptions may be made with permission of instructor. Drop-in classes are free for gold members. Class Passes for Silver members and non-members are available for purchase at the front desk. All attendees are required to pick up class token up to 2-hours prior to class. Instructors are subject to change. Minimum attendance may be required for a class to take place.

Class Descriptions Aqua Sculpt Use the natural resistance of water, along with breathing and relaxation techniques, to improve balance, core strength, stability, and enhance flexibility, and heighten mind-body awareness. Instruction can be modified for all levels.

Youth SKWIM® Arthritis Gentle Aerobics This class is a gentle step down from our other water aerobic classes. You will still benefit from the overall body workout at a slightly gentler pace.

Arthritis aqua fit Participants are guided through a series of movements designed by specialists, geared to reduce the pain and stiffness associated with arthritis. Participants exercise to improve flexibility, strength and range of motion. Swimming skills are not required.

This international sport is like ultimate frisbee in the water and is perfect for kids of all ages. Play to compete or to have fun. The soft-flexible SKWIM Disk™ actually slides on the water over 100 feet! SKWIM® is building a water-safe, water-smart, water-strong community! SKWIM is fun, fast (players wear Skwimfins™), easy, and for youth ages 11-18. Must be able to swim in deep water.

Junior Water Polo Looking to learn a new game or have fun cross training for another sport in your off season? This coached class teaches the fundamentals of this Olympic sport while challenging you physically.

Dive into Kroc Swim Lessons! Swimming Skills for Life The Salvation Army Kroc Center Learn-To-Swim program provides a safe and fun environment for learning the fundamentals of swimming and water safety, gaining self-confidence in the water, and developing skills up to a competitive level.

About Swim Lessons Swim lessons are 25-minutes in length. Five minutes are given between lessons to enter and exit the pool. For maximum efficiency, please be on time and dressed in swimwear prior to the lesson start time. Remember a towel.
