SUMMER FACILITY CLOSURE
AUG. 22–26
Did you know The Kroc Center has been open for seven years? It's due for a deep cleaning! Please excuse the inconvenience as we take five days this summer to clean The Kroc Center from top to bottom, ensuring that The Kroc is the sparkling facility we've all grown to love! We assure you that we have researched traffic patterns and are closing during the time of the year that will cause the least amount of impact.

MEET THE CRANDALLS Since September 2015, Jenny and Ryan Crandall and their four children ages 1 ½ to 9 make The Kroc an integral part of their

week. Jenny and Ryan’s fitness routines bring them to The Kroc 3-4 times per week. But, the Crandalls soon discovered The Kroc has something for everyone—so the children come one or two times a week as well. On a typical family day, while Jenny and Ryan take a Group Fit class together, the kids attend Play Care or Club 7–10. Rock climbing quickly became a favorite activity on family days, especially for the three older children. The whole family got new gear for Christmas this year, and even 4 year old Gwen scales the wall with confidence and skill. Other days you’ll find them all swimming, playing basketball as a family or running laps around the track upstairs burning off some excess energy! The Kroc is a great place for families, and the Crandalls are a family who take full advantage of so much that their Kroc Community Center has to offer!

KROC CHURCH
A place where all types of people from different walks of life gather to study the Bible, worship God, spend time with friends and serve our community in many different ways.
Join us for Sunday Service, every week at 10am We aim to be followers of Jesus 24/7, but Sunday mornings we have an opportunity to gather together and worship as a family. Whether you’ve been a disciple of Jesus for years, or you are skeptical of Christianity and looking for answers, you are welcome. In our Sunday gatherings we will sing, study the Bible together and make time to respond to what God is doing in our lives.

At Kroc Church, we Encourage, Equip & Engage (E3) on a daily basis as we strive to glorify God with our lives. We encourage one another into a relationship with Jesus Christ, and into healthy relationships with one another. We equip with the truth of God’s Word so that we can face our daily struggles, and we engage our community by making a difference in the lives of other people, by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, and by serving them in His name.

HUCKLEBERRIES: PRE-K & KINDERGARTEN Drop-off/Pick-up in Huckleberry Hollow Huckleberry Hollow is where our most curious and active age group meets. Kids will have plenty of fun while learning a meaningful Bible lesson. Bible verse memorization is encouraged through simple movement. Please have your children dressed for arts and crafts. Children must be fully potty trained.
KROC KIDS, TWO CLASSES: 1ST–3RD GRADES & 4TH–6TH GRADES Drop-off/Pick-up in the Community Rooms This is where the fun begins! Children in these classes are entering the age where they’re applying what they learn from the Bible into practice in their own lives. Children will engage in small group discussions where they share how they can apply what they learned from scripture to everyday life. Prayer and worship are also a focus in the lesson each week.
THE
CONNECTION MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP WEDNESDAYS, 6–8PM The Connection is a youth group for middle and high school students that meets weekly at The Kroc Center. We want students to come as they are, questions and all. We know that Christianity can be pretty confusing at times and we want you to know that you are welcome. SMALL GROUPS Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month our students will have the chance to meet up in small groups based on their age and gender. This offers each student time to be cared for, prayed for, and be known.
WORSHIP NIGHTS Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday our youth band will lead us in a time to worship Jesus through music. It is a time to have some fun as well as a time to reflect on how our walk with Christ is going to be sure Jesus remains at the very center of our life of being His follower.

PARENT & CHILD LEVEL 1
Parents are taught how to safely hold and work with their child in the water. Water exploration, games, and new water skills will make this class a fun experience for both of you.
PARENT & CHILD LEVEL 2
Parents and children improve and expand the swimming and safety skills learned in level one.
PRESCHOOL LEVEL 1
PRESCHOOL SWIM LESSONS AGES 4– 5 YEARS
Children may be new to the water or have prior experience. Swimmers will explore being in the water through games and learn skills such as blowing bubbles, face in the water, floating, front and back glides and rolling from front to back.
PRESCHOOL LEVEL 2
Students in these classes will learn how to bob towards safety, front float, tread water, and swim with arm and leg action on front and on back.
PRESCHOOL LEVEL 3
Swimmers will improve their freestyle form while increasing their stamina by swimming longer distances. Safety bobs, survival floats, and swimming on back will be practiced.
LEVEL 1: INTRO TO AQUATICS
Students in this class may be new swimmers or comfortable in the water. Students will learn to blow bubbles, put their face in the water, back float, front glide, roll from front to back and back to front, and swim freestyle with good form for short distances.
LEARN TO SWIM LESSONS
AGES 6+ YEARS
LEVEL 2: AQUATIC FUNDAMENTALS
These students will learn safety floats, jumping into the water, back glides, back stroke, elementary backstroke, and will continue to improve their form for freestyle.
LEVEL 3: STROKE DEVELOPMENT
Students have mastered the basics of freestyle and backstroke, and are ready to learn rotary breathing. Swimmers will improve their elementary backstroke form, learn dolphin kick, and will be introduced to the deep water in the competition pool for treading water and beginning diving.
LEVEL 4: STROKE IMPROVEMENT
• Evaluate your child’s swim ability and choose a class level, date and time. • Register for class online or at the Front Desk. Classes fill quickly. • Arrive early to check-in and familiarize your child with the facility. Please have your child ready for class at the start of the lesson time. • Families with an adult (18+) may use a cabana locker room. Please bring your own padlock if you wish to store your belongings in a locker. Group locker rooms are also available and located near the Competition Pool. • Have your child go to the bathroom before lessons. Children who are not potty trained must wear a swim diaper and plastic pants (available for purchase at the Front Desk) to prevent bathroom incidents in the pool. Please note: no refunds will be given when bathroom incidents occur. • Bring your child’s towel onto the pool deck. Keep your child warm before and after lessons. • Check in at the Swim Lesson table in the Cove Pool. Please help your child remember the Instructor’s name and the class flag color. Pass this information on to anyone who may be bringing your child to lessons. • Please do not bring your child to swim lessons if they are ill. Please note: Make-up lessons are not available. • At the end of the set of lessons, your Instructor will recommend the appropriate class level for the next set of lessons. Class levels are frequently repeated to allow students to master skills and feel successful before moving on to a new level.
While improving their rotary breathing, backstroke, and elementary backstroke students will learn butterfly, breaststroke, and will swim longer distances. Students will learn open turns for freestyle and backstroke and learn to dive from the side of the pool.
LEVEL 5: STROKE REFINEMENT
Students can swim full lengths of the Comp Pool and will increase their stamina and speed in all strokes through swimming drills. They are ready to learn flip turns and competitive starts from the starting blocks.

WAY TO GO!
The Kroc Center team would like to congratulate CAST and our area High School Teams (Lake City, Coeur d’Alene, Lakeland, and Post Falls) for an exceptional season of competitive swimming. We are proud that these athletes train at The Kroc Center and look forward to celebrating your future successes! A FEW OF NOTABLE HIGHLIGHTS: • Sarah Nicholls of CAST qualified for Olympic trials in the 100 breaststroke in March of this year. She is the second swimmer in team history to do so, and she's currently the second fastest 15 year old in the country. • Micah Hudlet and Nicole Rozier of CDA High School went 1 and 3 in the 100 breaststroke and only .02 apart. It was the most exciting race of the 2015 Idaho State Championship Meet! • CDA High School Boys and Girls team finished 2nd overall in the 2015 Idaho State Championship Meet. • Maggie de Tar of Post Falls High School and Hannah Gonzalez of Lake City High School

MEDICATION DISTRIBUTION In the case of medication distribution, parents must complete a Right to Distribute Medication Form. This releases The Kroc Center from liability for medication that is required for distribution for the health of a child. Medication must be dropped off to Camp Coordinators in the original prescription container with your child’s name printed on the label and placed in a plastic bag. Medication will be stored in Camp Coordinator’s office and administered at the time(s) and in the amount designated by the Right to Distribute Medication Form. Parents must sign out medication at the end of each day and check back in the following day. Any medication not brought in the appropriate container may preclude camp participation for your child on that day.
ILLNESS AND INJURIES Day Camp is not designed or equipped to handle ill children. If your camper becomes ill while at Camp Kroc, our staff will make your child comfortable in an area away from the other campers. Our staff will then contact you (the parent) or one of the individuals you have authorized to pick up your child. If immediate medical attention is needed or if the severity of an injury cannot be correctly established, parents will be notified immediately. The Emergency Medical System (911) will be activated at the discretion of Camp Coordinators and/or Camp Counselors. If staff are unable to reach parents whose child is in need of immediate medical attention, he/she will be transported to the nearest hospital via ambulance and staff will continue to attempt to contact parents. Parents/guardians will be responsible for all emergency medical care expenses.
