AH, FEBRUARY— the month of heart-shaped everything. Whether you love it or dread it, there’s no escaping the pink and red explosion that happens after New Year’s confetti hits the floor. Valentine’s Day reminds us to focus on matters of the heart—both emotional and relational—which is why this month’s theme, “Follow Your Heart,” is all about love and connection.

My first Valentine came from someone who will always have my heart—my dad. Every year, without fail, he would send my sisters and me six beautiful roses and a card. It didn’t matter if we were giddy with a new romance or nursing a broken heart. My dad knew that Valentine’s Day, for all its chocolate-covered charm, could sometimes sting. He made sure we always felt loved and reminded us we didn’t need anyone else to feel special.

He understood something important: love isn’t just about grand gestures or candlelit dinners— it’s about making sure the people in your life know they matter. Sometimes the most meaningful gestures are the simplest ones.

This Valentine’s Day, whether you’re cozied up with your soulmate, binging rom-coms solo, or out with friends, consider taking a page from my dad’s playbook. Reach out to someone who might need a reminder that they’re not forgotten. A text, a coffee invite, or a card can make someone’s whole day.

And don’t forget to take care of yourself. It’s easy to get caught up in helping others, but you deserve your own kindness. Whether that means taking a break or treating yourself—listen to what your heart needs.

Here’s to following your heart—and reminding others that they’ll always have a place in yours.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH IS A time to celebrate the resilience, achievements, and contributions of African Americans throughout history. Central to this legacy are African American women— pioneers who have broken barriers, fought for justice, and made lasting impacts on society. In honor of this important month of recognition, we would like to highlight a few remarkable women with ties to North Carolina who have shaped the state’s history and inspired the nation and the world. These trailblazers embody a proud heritage, reflect the progress of changing times, and point the way toward a brighter, more inclusive future.

Dr. Pauli Murray

Orphaned at a young age, Murray was raised by relatives in Durham, North Carolina. She was an American civil rights activist, a lawyer, women’s rights activist, and an author. Drawn to the ministry, Murray became the rst African American woman to be ordained as an Episcopal priest in 1977.

After becoming the rst African American woman to graduate from Columbia Law School in 1945, Alexander went on to become the rst African American woman in North Carolina to practice law, to argue before its Supreme Court, and to be elected to a district court judgeship.

Lynch was born in Greensboro in 1959. After attending Harvard Law School, years of private practice, and a leadership role in the United States Attorney’s O ce, Lynch became the 83 Attorney General of the United States in 2015.

Harriet Jacobs

Jacobs, who was born in 1813 in Edenton, North Carolina, was the  rst African American female slave to write a biography, “Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl.”

EXPLORING THE HEART: The

Poetic

and Physiological Connection

THE SCIENCE BEHIND LOVE AND HEART HEALTH

IN RECOGNITION OF FEBRUARY BEING AMERICAN HEART MONTH, we wanted to look at the connection between the romantic heart (the metaphorical seat of love) and the organ heart (the vital pump sustaining life). The interplay between the romantic and physical heart reminds us that love is both a feeling and a force of nature, nurturing not only our spirits but also our bodies. Here’s how these two hearts intertwine:

A METAPHOR FOR LOVE

Love promotes heart health. Studies show people in happy relationships are less likely to su er from heart disease. Emotional support from a loving partner can lead to better lifestyle choices, such as healthier eating and regular exercise. Intense emotional stress such as heartbreak, on the other hand, can cause takotsubo cardiomyopathy—a temporary weakening of the heart muscle resembling a heart attack. is highlights the physical impact of emotional states.

e heart has long symbolized love, passion, and emotional depth in cultures worldwide. Ancient Greeks associated it with the soul, while poets and writers romanticized it as the center of human emotion. e heart reacts to emotions—racing with excitement, slowing in calm moments, or feeling physically heavy during sadness—making it a natural metaphor for love.

LOVE MAKES US STRONGER

When you experience love, your brain releases hormones like oxytocin, dopamine, and endorphins, which lower stress and support heart health. Falling in love can cause physical signs like a faster heartbeat or “ uttering,” linking emotions to the organ’s function. Negative emotions like stress or heartbreak can lead to increased cortisol, which may strain the cardiovascular system. Conversely, love and connection reduce stress and promote a healthier heart.

HOW THEY WORK TOGETHER

Positive emotions enhance cardiac function. Feeling love, joy, or gratitude releases hormones that relax blood vessels, improve circulation, and lower blood pressure. e emotional connection with a partner helps regulate the autonomic nervous system, balancing the heart rate. Shared laughter, touch, and a ectionate gestures can lower stress hormones, reducing the risk of heart-related illnesses. w

Here are our favorites that will warm your body and lift your spirits: (visit www.soupaddict.com for recipes)

Chicken Noodle Soup

A classic choice for a reason, it’s packed with protein, easy-to-digest carbs, and has a warm, soothing broth. The steam can help ease nasal congestion as well.

Bone Broth

Rich in minerals, collagen, and nutrients that support your immune system and promote gut health, sip this healing broth as-is or use it as a base for other soups.

Ginger Carrot Soup

Pureed carrots with fresh ginger and a touch of citrus make this soup gentle on the stomach and great for fighting nausea and boosting vitamin A.

DID YOU RECEIVE VALUABLE ITEMS FOR THE HOLIDAYS?

Insure your valuables, whether it be your expensive jewelry, electronics, artwork, antiques, furs, firearms, heirlooms, and more. We know these items are important to you and it can be devastating when you lose them in an unforeseen event. While you may not be able to get the exact item back, these items can be scheduled on your homeowners policy or put on a separate valuables insurance policy, often called a Personal Inland Marine policy, which will ensure you get the full appraised value of the item if ever lost, stolen, or destroyed.

Miso Soup

Made with miso paste, tofu, and seaweed, this light soup contains probiotics to support gut health and immune function.

Loaded with vitamin C, a simple tomato soup (preferably homemade to avoid extra sodium) can boost immunity and feel comforting, especially with a side of toast.

Lentil Soup

Packed with protein, fiber, and iron, lentil soup helps keep energy up while being gentle on the stomach. Add turmeric for an anti-inflammatory boost.

Vegetable Broth or Soup

A nutrient-dense option loaded with a variety of vegetables, offering vitamins and minerals to support your immune system.

Buernut Squash Soup

Creamy and soothing, it’s rich in antioxidants, vitamin A, and vitamin C, helping to combat colds and soothe sore throats.

JEWELRY & VALUABLES INSURANCE PROTECTING RESIDENTS WITH

WHAT TO DO PRIOR TO SCHEDULING ON AN INSURANCE POLICY

Prior to having your valuable items scheduled on your policy, you will need to get them appraised. This way, the insurance company will have a value on each item so that in the event of a loss, you will receive the replacement cost value. When it comes to jewelry, you should have your jewelry appraised every few years to make sure you have enough coverage on the item.

Something that will help you keep track of your items and their value, to be sure of adequate coverage, is to routinely take and keep an inventory of your valuable personal items. Taking photos of the items with a time stamp, receipt, and appraisal, is a great way to catalog your items and we highly encourage this task.

Now is a great time to contact your agent to set up a time to review your policy and inventory of valuable items and talk next steps about getting them appraised and insured.

Who inspired you to pursue medicine? “I was inspired by my father, a pharmacist, whose stories of helping people left a lasting impression on me. Listening to him talk about the positive impact he had on his community sparked a desire in me to make a similar difference. That dream eventually led me to pursue a career in family and integrative medicine, a specialty that allows me to connect deeply with people and contribute meaningfully to their wellbeing.”

Healthy Mind, Body, Spirit “I love the quote: ‘The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient’ because that is how I see my approach to medicine. I practice integrative medicine because it complements traditional approaches with effective alternative therapies to promote holistic wellness. By addressing both disease management and preventive care, I help my patients not only recover from illnesses but also adopt healthier lifestyles overall.”

What do you like most about your work? “Being a family physician is more than a career; it’s a calling. It’s about giving back to the community that shaped me, being a part of people’s lives, and helping them achieve their best health. It’s a privilege to build relationships and to be trusted with the health and wellbeing of so many—a responsibility I cherish every day. I am forever grateful to Piedmont HealthCare for giving me the opportunity to fulfill my dream of serving the community. Family medicine is not just about treating illnesses; it’s about being a part of people’s lives, helping them navigate their journeys, and forming a bond that feels like an extension of their family.”

Since family medicine is such an all-encompassing specialty, can you tell us more about your services? “As a board-certified family physician, I specialize in providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages. My focus is on patient-centered care, which involves understanding each individual’s unique needs and tailoring treatments accordingly. Whether it’s preventive screenings, managing chronic conditions like arthritis, addressing skin concerns, or offering Botox treatments, I strive to provide a broad range of services that enhance health and quality of life. We will soon be offering IV therapy and onsite supplements as well.”

How do you like to spend your leisure time?

“When I’m not caring for patients, I enjoy spending quality time with my own family, cooking, practicing yoga, and meditating. These pastimes help me stay grounded and bring balance to my life, enabling me to give my best to my patients every day.”

Understanding Tooth Erosion:

SIMPLE TIPS TO PROTECT YOUR SMILE

TOOTH EROSION IS a common dental issue that occurs when the protective enamel on your teeth slowly wears away due to exposure to certain acids. Unlike cavities, which involve bacteria, tooth erosion happens through chemical processes. Over time, this can make teeth more sensitive, a ect their appearance, and lead to other oral health concerns. e good news is that with the right care and habits, you can help protect your enamel and keep your smile healthy and strong.

If you notice persistent sensitivity, visible changes in your teeth, or discomfort, schedule an appointment with your dentist. Early detection and intervention can prevent further enamel loss and the need for extensive treatments.

Causes of Tooth Erosion

ACIDIC FOODS AND BEVERAGES: Consuming excessive amounts of acidic foods and drinks, such as citrus fruits, soda (Dr. Pepper, Sundrop, Coca-Cola, Mountain Dew, etc.), and wine, can weaken the enamel over time.

ACID REFLUX & GASTROESOPHAGEAL REFLUX DISEASE (GERD): Stomach acids that flow back into the mouth can erode enamel, especially with chronic conditions like GERD.

DRY MOUTH (XEROSTOMIA) : Saliva helps neutralize acids and protect enamel. Reduced saliva production increases the risk of erosion.

FREQUENT SNACKING: Constant exposure to acidic or sugary snacks can create an environment conducive to enamel wear.

BRUSHING HABITS: Brushing teeth too hard or immediately after consuming acidic foods and drinks can accelerate enamel wear.

involve bacteria, tooth erosion happens through chemical processes.

Prevention Is Key

MODIFY YOUR DIET: Limit intake of acidic foods and beverages; use a straw when drinking acidic drinks to minimize contact with teeth; rinse your mouth with water after consuming acidic foods.

PRACTICE GOOD ORAL

HYGIENE : Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste; wait at least 30 minutes after eating or drinking acidic substances before brushing.

STAY HYDRATED: Drink plenty of water to stimulate saliva production; chew sugarfree gum to help maintain saliva flow.

MANAGE MEDICAL CONDITIONS: Seek treatment for acid reflux or GERD; consult your dentist if you have chronic dry mouth.

REGULAR DENTAL CHECKUPS: Visit your dentist regularly for cleanings and exams; discuss protective treatments such as fluoride applications or dental sealants.

on A LITTLE BACKGROUND: I grew up in Maiden, North Carolina. After high school, I attended UNC-Chapel Hill for a short time and then transferred to Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) where I earned my degree in dental hygiene. My husband and I are empty nesters with three daughters in their 20s: Bailey, Kamryn, and Delaney.

on GOD HAD OTHER PLANS: Being a dental hygienist was never an aspiration of mine, but fate and God had other plans for me. I always wanted to be a band director ... total 180, I know! When I was at UNC-Chapel Hill, I played in the marching band and really enjoyed it. However, I soon learned that singing was part of being a music major and that was definitely not one of my talents. I also was miserable there ... not only was I a shy introverted 18-year-old in a super-big new place, but I had just lost my dad two months before graduation. I was at a crossroads in life and all I can say is that God spoke to me right then. He planted the seed in my ear to explore dental hygiene. I heard Him clearly and so I applied to CPCC’s dental hygiene program and went home to be with my newly widowed mother and 9-year-old sister.

on NURTURING YOUR CREATIVE SIDE: Besides music, I have another creative side—crafting. I have always loved making Christmas wreaths, and that hobby morphed into making other seasonal wreaths and my side business, Yes Ma’am Wreath Creations. I spend a lot of time taking virtual classes and trying to increase my knowledge and improve my skills in crafting and design.

on A FAMILY THAT PRAYS TOGETHER: My work family means everything to me! I have worked for this practice for more than 34 years now, so I have known some of my teammates for 20 to 30 years. We pray together ... we pray for each other, for our patients, and our community. The faith that is present in this office brings me to tears, and I am forever grateful to be a part of this incredible group of women. I also love getting to know our patients. Many have been coming here for years and while not everyone wants to discuss much more than their dental visit, others have been more than eager to share. We talk about our lives, our challenges, our family, our faith. Through the years I have gotten to know them on a personal level ... we are truly family in every sense of the word. w

POPULARITY TRENDS:

ACCORDING TO THE National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), remodeling expenditures in the U.S. have consistently outpaced new construction, with billions spent annually on updates to existing homes. While statistics lean toward a preference for remodeling over building, the U.S. Census Bureau reports that new home construction accounts for a smaller but steady portion of residential investments overall. Although remodeling tends to be more popular in the current market, building a new home remains an appealing choice for those prioritizing customization and efficiency. Here are some key points to consider on both sides of the fence:

REMODELING A HOME

Remodeling is currently more common than building new homes, especially in established neighborhoods or urban areas.

Remodeling is often less expensive than building a new home, depending on the scale of the project.

Homeowners who love their current location but want updated features often choose remodeling.

It allows homeowners to improve functionality and aesthetics without the hassle of moving.

In areas with older homes, remodeling is a practical way to modernize existing structures.

Kitchen and bathroom renovations are the most popular, followed by additions like home offices, outdoor spaces, or basements.

BUILDING A NEW HOME

Building a new home is less frequent but remains a popular choice for those seeking complete customization or in growing suburban areas.

Building allows for complete design control, tailored to specific needs and preferences.

New-builds can incorporate the latest energy-efficient materials and technologies.

A new home eliminates the need for immediate repairs or renovations, offering peace of mind.

Higher costs, longer timelines, and the complexity of land acquisition and permitting can deter some homeowners. w

Remodel vs. New-Build

WHY HOMEOWNERS CHOOSE ONE OVER THE OTHER

REMODELING BUILDING

Generally less expensive, especially for minor updates. Typically higher upfront costs for land, permits, and construction.

Shorter timelines for smaller projects. Longer process, often taking 6-12+ months.

Limited to the existing structure.

Full control over design and layout.

Appeals to those who want to stay in their current area. Requires finding land, often in new developments.

Reuses existing materials and structure. More opportunities for ecofriendly builds.

the theme of this month’s issue, and our featured LKNWoman could not be a better example. Jackie Regalado, founder and president of Driftwood Luxury Spa and Yoga Studio in Denver, may have started out adrift and unsure, but years of hard work, dedication, and passion not only led Jackie to follow her heart and pursue her dreams, but it showed her that she can do the hard things ... including surviving some of the most turbulent storms life has in its arsenal.

“DRIFTWOOD BY DEFINITION,” Jackie explains, “are pieces of wood oating at sea or being washed ashore. I see myself as that piece of wood that was pummeled by the ocean ... transforming me into who I am today. I may not look the same. I may have a few more wrinkles and sunspots, but I have a beautiful purpose and mission, and I have never felt stronger.”

Jackie grew up in a little town called Chalmette, about 20 minutes south of New Orleans. Known as “the nail lady” around town, her mother owned a beauty salon there, and Jackie has fond memories of the tightknit group of ladies who frequented the studio.

“ ese ladies,” Jackie recalls, “were like an extension to my family. I remember taking them for walks down the street if my mom was super busy or even practicing my pedicure skills. ey liked giving me little jobs to do, and I loved getting to know them all. Many, including my mom, thought I would take over the business one day ... but I had di erent plans.”

Like most young people, Jackie wanted to discover her own direction in life. Law and medicine had piqued her interest early on, and she was eager to attend college. However, Jackie’s journey had some unexpected twists and turns which had her rethinking her options. She eventually found herself in corporate America and that, too, would shape Jackie’s fate.

“I had to grow up pretty quickly,” Jackie shares. “My dreams of going away to a fancy college and pursuing a law or medical profession had to take a back seat to the realities of paying rent and nding a way to feed and clothe myself. Fortunately, I was able to nd employment at one of the largest banks in America, and they o ered to pay for most of my college education. I worked full-time and attended classes in the evening— eventually earning my bachelor’s degree in business management.”

After about 10 years, Jackie was o ered a job at another large bank. By this time, she had met her husband, got married, and had a daughter, Ava, who is now 18. e new position required her to relocate to Charlotte where she spent another 16 years in the workforce. “During that time,” Jackie says, “I developed a strong sense of self and believed that no matter what the challenge, how impossible the task, there wasn’t anything my team and I couldn’t accomplish ... and we proved it time and time again.”

LIKE DRIFTWOOD FINDING ITS PLACE ON A SERENE AND RECUPERATIVE SHORE, SHE AND HER SPA BOTH HAVE BECOME A SYMBOL OF RESILIENCE AND REBIRTH.

Spending more than 25 years navigating the corporate world, Jackie was caught in the cycle of repetitive responsibilities and predictable routines. She had forgotten that life was more than just a series of conference calls and deadlines. “I realized that it was time for me to stop doing the work that was just paying the bills and start nding my passion in life. I had spent so much of my life just doing what needed to be done to create security that I had forgotten what it was like to dream.”

Other factors had changed in Jackie’s life as well, prompting her to embark on her next chapter. In 2023, her father and both her parents-in-law passed away. “What struck me most,” Jackie says of her father’s passing, “was his last years and how afraid he was. He was the bravest man I had ever known, but all I saw was a fearful man with so many regrets. Something in me just clicked and I had clarity like never before.”

With small steps and large goals, Jackie went about opening her spa. e business end was no problem. Jackie had her college degree and decades of experience. She now needed to get educated and licensed in esthetics. Since she was still working full-time, Jackie found a school with an evening program and enrolled immediately. Step two? Breathing life into her dream.

“Probably the hardest part was saying it out loud for the rst time,” Jackie admits. “I told my family, expecting a lot of pushback, but was met with overwhelming support instead! My mom was SO proud that I was nally ‘coming home’ and following in her footsteps, and my husband Travis cheered me on every step of the way, pledging his undying love and support.”

e road to building Driftwood Spa was not without its challenges. It required will, determination, and an unwavering belief in achieving your dreams. Jackie has endured, survived, and thrived under some di cult circumstances and persevered through some dense obstacles—some she has only shared with a select few; but, like driftwood nding its place on a serene and recuperative shore, she and her spa both have become a symbol of resilience and rebirth.

is becomes completely evident when you walk through her spa doors. You enter a space intentionally crafted to nurture your body, mind, and spirit. Every detail in its creation re ects this philosophy—from the natural materials used in the design to the soothing therapies o ered within its walls. It is more than a business; it’s a calling. It’s a place where individuals can let go of stress, reconnect with themselves, and emerge stronger, just as driftwood emerges from its journey through the ocean. It’s a reminder that transformation is always possible, no matter how turbulent things get.

“As I continue this mission,” Jackie concludes, “I am reminded daily of the beauty in life’s imperfections and the strength found in resilience. To anyone who feels adrift, know this: there is always a welcoming shoreline, a place where you can nd your purpose and renew your strength. Driftwood Spa is my gift to you, and it stands as a testament to the power of following your heart. at is my mission—to create a welcoming and recuperative shoreline for the stressed, overworked, and depleted ‘driftwood’ in my community so that they too can be transformed.” w

tips for Staying Connected Post-Wedding

The excitement of planning a wedding, coupled with the joy of the big day itself, can make the transition to post-wedding life feel surprisingly quiet. Many newlyweds nd themselves experiencing what is often referred to as the “post-wedding blues.” This emotional slump is common and perfectly normal, but there are ways to navigate it while strengthening your bond as a couple. Here are some tips to stay connected and thrive in your new chapter together:

Set New Goals Together

The wedding may be over, but your journey as a couple is just beginning. Create new goals together such as planning a dream vacation, buying a home, starting a new hobby, or simply setting aside regular date nights. Having shared aspirations will keep your partnership energized and forward-focused.

Relive the Memories

Practice Gratitude

Focus on the positive aspects of your new life together. Regularly express gratitude for each other and the life you’re building. Gratitude fosters a sense of appreciation and joy, helping to counteract feelings of emptiness.

Keep the Romance Alive

Celebrate Small Wins

Build a Support System

One way to combat post-wedding blues is by reminiscing about your special day. Spend time organizing your wedding photos, creating a scrapbook, or designing a wedding album. Reliving the joyful moments can remind you of the love and commitment you’ve celebrated and help sustain that sense of connection.

Your wedding was a major milestone, but life is full of smaller achievements worth celebrating. Whether it’s a work success, a fitness goal, or learning a new skill, take the time to acknowledge and celebrate each other’s wins. This keeps your relationship positive and affirming.

Embrace Growth as a Couple

It’s important to maintain strong relationships outside of your marriage. Stay connected with friends and family and consider joining social groups as a couple. A supportive community can provide perspective and encouragement as you adjust to married life.

Marriage doesn’t mean the end of romance. Surprise each other with thoughtful gestures, such as leaving love notes around the house or planning a special night out. Intentionally creating moments of romance helps maintain the spark and keeps your relationship fresh.

Marriage is a journey, not a destination. Be open to learning and growing together. Take time to communicate about your hopes, dreams, and even fears. Consider reading relationship books or attending workshops to deepen your connection and build a strong foundation for the future. w

And Then God Spoke to Me

In his autobiography, Hans Christian Andersen wrote:

“To travel is to live.”

IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE THE celebrated Danish writer, just ask travel professional Kristy Morganti. As the owner of Luxe Travel by Kristy, exploring the world is a love she feels honored to share with others.

“My passion for travel, combined with my background in strategy and research, created the perfect blend for this career,” she shares. “I realized that my purpose isn’t just about travel itself—it’s about enabling people to see the world, connect with their loved ones, and create memories that last a lifetime. Travel has a unique way of expanding our perspectives, helping us see not only the beauty of the world but also something new within ourselves.”

Kristy began her professional life in corporate America as a researcher and business consultant and sees that time as a steppingstone to her travel business. “I absolutely loved those careers,” she says. “ ey re ned my skills in research, problem-solving, and client service, all of which laid the foundation for what I do now.”

Originally from Miami, Kristy had initially planned to return to Florida for college but after receiving a scholarship, she was accepted into the honors college at Old Dominion University in Virginia. She later pursued her master’s in public

health at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University and earned her doctorate in health policy and administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

“Today, I’m blessed with two wonderful daughters, Emily (16) and Ella (13). Both attend Southlake Christian Academy and are passionate volleyball players— playing for their school teams and various clubs in the spring. I’ve been married to my husband, Tadd, for 17 years, and our family is rounded out by our three dogs—Molly, Cooper, and our puppy Bodhi. Life is busy with full hands and a full heart!”

“My

passion for travel,

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope. en you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and nd me when you seek me with all your heart.”

is verse deeply resonates with Kristy because she encountered it at a pivotal moment in her life. Like so many of us, the demands of life had exhausted her but a fortuitous promotion for Tadd would give her the option to step back from her draining schedule and reassess things.

“I was hesitant to switch gears,” she admits, “but a business trip changed everything. As I was walking to a meeting, I saw Jeremiah 29:11—four stories tall—plastered on the side of a building. It felt like God was speaking directly to me: ‘It’s okay. I’ve got you. You can trust me.’ at moment gave me the courage to step away from the workforce for a season. It allowed me to bond with my children, invest in my marriage, and eventually move to Lake

combined with my
background in strategy and research, created the perfect blend for this career..."

For this devoted wife, mom, and businessowner, connection is critical … especially at home. A deeply spiritual person, one of her favorite verses is Jeremiah 29:11-13:

Norman—an opportunity I never would have had otherwise. I don’t know exactly what the future holds, but I trust the God who does. His plans are always good, even when I can’t see the full picture yet.” w

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

Exchange vows with a breathtaking view—a mountaintop ceremony, the beach at sunrise, or a lovely sunset sail. For a more formal affair, try a museum or art gallery. If the outdoors is more your style, have a lush woodland setting with fairy lights and rustic decor to create an enchanting atmosphere in nature.

THINKING OUTSIDE THE WEDDING BOX

Interactive Food Stations: DIY taco stand, build-your-own charcuterie boards, or an ice cream sundae bar.

Alternative Guest Books: Have guests sign puzzle pieces or a wedding ornament instead of a traditional book.
