Designing Employee Experience and Employer Attractiveness of a Distributed Organization. The purpose of this thesis was to improve the employee experience and clarify the employer attractiveness of Sahra Agribusiness Consulting Oy. The main target was to enhance the engagement of employees and increase the amount of job applicants to enable the growth of the company. The commissioner provides consulting and planning in an agricultural environment. Sahra operates as a distributed organization and its internal operations are mostly virtual. The theoretical framework of this thesis combines the employee experience, the factors of employer attractiveness, and virtual co-designing as a development method. The service design was chosen for a development approach because of its collaborative and user centric tools and methods. The used service design process was the double diamond model. Methods and tools were mainly qualitative including some quantitative elements. The employee experience data was collected with theme interviews. The development ideas and suggestions were created in the virtual workshop. The prototype gathered the employer attractiveness factors into a visual recruiting note, and it was tested by a questionnaire sent to the potential employees. The strengths of the Sahra’s employee experience were company’s atmosphere and the technological environment. The lack of the physical environment demands more attention to the quality and quantity of virtual communication. To engage the part time workers company needs to understand the life situation of workers so they offer appropriate amount of 112
