Evaluation of the Impact of the Life Event Measurement Tool during the Social Service The aim of the thesis was to analyse how the impacts during the social services can be described with using the life event measurement tool. The life event measurement tool has been in trial use in the Nuorten Ystävät ry in six different units. The measurement tool is a digital platform on which the customer was able to mark the changes in his or her life. The purpose was to find out whether the results of the life event measurement tool describe the impacts during social service and to make recommendations for further development. In this thesis the research was carried out by a case study as a research method. The case study suited because it utilizes various means of data collection and analysis. The research data was collected in workshops from which we obtained information that we could not obtain from theoretical information. The research data was analysed by the means of qualitative research with content analysis and thematic analysis which is one form of the content analysis. The main results were that the life event measurement tool produces information about the impacts during the social service. From the researched data could be concluded that the change in the customer's life during the social service is visible. The research data proves that the life event measurement tool was easy to use. Based on the research data the measurement tool should be further studied by a professional to improve the credibility and usability in the impact assessment.
