It’s been a year since you started your new show on Corus Radio’s Energy 95.3. How does it feel to have the dream team back together again? Our team has always been together through the whole process! The ups and downs. After things changed for us at Virgin, we literally met up and had a stiff drink! It’s been a long road, and it could’ve easily been the last time we ever worked together. Then Energy came along and wanted to put our show back on the air. We are so grateful we found a new home and get to do a job we love as a team again! Many listeners will remember your time at Virgin Radio — which you poked fun of in the marketing for the new show. How would you describe your new show on Energy for those less familiar? Our show on Energy is edgier and more real than it’s ever been. We talk about stuff that friends talk about over beers on a Friday 12 www.onthego.to
night, and that’s how we want everyone to feel who’s listening to the show … like we’re at a pub together hanging out. From our sex lives, to Maura losing her Dad to cancer. We are the most honest morning show you’ll find. Our bosses have given us the freedom to talk about whatever we want, in whatever way we want. Do you ever get used to getting up super early? Do you have any tips on how to make early mornings manageable for our readers? You never get used to getting up at 3:30 am! You just get used to feeling run down all the time. LOL! But we aren’t complaining. We highly recommend naps! Even a 20 minute cat nap can make a huge difference in being able to stay up past 8 pm. On your radio show you introduce your listeners to all the biggest new hits. Do you have favourite current artists? Any new albums on your playlists? You can’t go wrong with Post Malone and Drake! On the top of both of our lists right now would definitely be the new album from the Weeknd.
