LETTER FROM Hellloooo Dragons!!! I hope you all have enjoyed the month of January as much as I have:) As each month passes, we become closer and closer to the end of the Key Club term and I become closer and closer to being Thanos snapped from being Lt. G to not even a general member. In saying that, especially for us seniors, be sure to make the most of your terms!! Leave a strong legacy!! Talk to people who feel left out and include them in the conversation!! Inclusivity is a powerful tool for making the world a much happier place and leaves a powerful legacy!! I love you guys so much <3

Concl During Conclave, we had the opportunity to watch in awe as fellow members of our division, Mai Vu and Justin Nguyen, run as candidates for the position of LTG. We patiently waited for them as we were able to see the other candidates from other divisions present their speeches to the crowd. They were all well-spoken and had their own visions that they explained. The audience respectfully asked questions and listened to their responses during caucuses. When it was time, our division candidates presented themselves. Justin went first and then Mai. I asked them both questions that I thought were valid to know. Finally, the results came in. I congratulated both of them for their efforts; anyone strong enough to go through this process deserves applause for all they have done. We had our DCM in which we talked about our events for the month and about old business. I had an amazing time going to Conclave. I was blown away by all of the speeches and the persistence of all the candidates. I hope for the best in the next term.

At the Rose Float Decorating Event our members got the chance to be whisked away on an hour long bus ride to a huge warehouse where all the floats for the New Year’s Day Pasadena Rose Float Parade are brought to life. Our members got the chance to work on floats such as the amazing Trader Joe's Float, and were employed with such jobs as pasting flowers to floats, as well as preparing them to be used in decoration. This event was most definitely one of the more labor intensive service projects we have ever attended, at over 7 hours of service with few breaks! Nonetheless, it was a great event for our members to be a part of, as they got to experience all the effort, meaning, dedication, and incredible stories go into making some of the most amazing floats that the entire Southern California Area has watched in the 131- year-running event!

CAROLING FOR CANS My name is Michelle Diaz and I participated in the “Caroling for cans” event. What we did was walk around neighborhoods with a group of people and sang Christmas songs. Then we would tell them it’s for key club at Marina High School and if they had any perishable items or cans to donate which was for the OC Food bank. My favorite part of the event was singing because some people were excited and even called their families to listen. They organized it good because everyone was at the location correct without misunderstandings and everyone knew what they had to do before the event started. What could have been improved was putting friend groups together because they can give the leader a hard time. One thing I learned from this event was how much of a difference a good deed could make. I would definitely attend this event again because it’s enjoyable and you feel great to help out at the end.
