LETTER FROM Well, well, well, Dragons. It appears as if my time has run out as Lieutenant Governor. And unfortunately, my time has gone out during a time of crisis. With DCON cancelled and Banquet postponed until further notice, it is a bittersweet ending to the term. But that doesn't affect what we've done. This term, our division was the first term in a few years to grow in both member count and service count, quite substantially may I add. And on that note, I am able to happily retire. I love you guys. Thank you all for everything:).

-Diego Solorio, LTG

At this fun-filled event, our members got to indulge in some very heartwarming activities that got them even better acquainted with all their friends in the region. This event included some exciting games, such as those in which our members got to take Buzzfeed quizzes to determine their romantic preferences (oooo), such as their ideal date and more. After doing so, they got to split up into groups with those that shared similar preferences in order to make new friendships in the division. Also, our members got to participate in a service event which included our members making bracelets that said “Hero on them, that were donated to local first responders in our community for always putting their lives on the line. Also, we had one of our very last DCMs at this event, which we recognized as our member of the month as Emily Long. She is one of our incredible Co-Event Coordinators that has worked hard to establish new potential events for our members. Also, the discussion at the DCM focused on upcoming events which include the end of the term and DCON, which all of the members of the division are looking forward to.

ATHON My name is Jonathan Tran and I volunteered at Surf City Marathon Event with Marina Key Club. While at the event, my most favorite moment was seeing the runners grabbing the water from my hand and hearing them say “thank you as it made me feel helpful. The event was well organized as all volunteers were informed on where, when, and how to reach the assigned location. While at the event, the only thing that could have been improved was doing a better job cleaning the cups that the runners threw on the floor after the finished drinking the water. After volunteering and experiencing this event, I would most definitely attend this event again because it was a joy meeting and talking to friends while also seeing the runners gratefully smiling as they received their water.

OCIETY Our club has done volunteer events in the past that were environment-related, but this was our first time volunteering for the HB Tree Society. When we arrived, we were greeted by a really kind and friendly lady who collected our waivers. Her optimistic and cheerful spirit spread to us, making us ready to volunteer. Another lady gave all of us gloves and shovels and led us on the trail. While we were walking, she gave us some history about the land and showed us different types of plants such as the red buds. Finally, she led us to the location where we would be working. There was a whole area of weeds that we needed to remove. We each took a pad for us to put our knees on so that we would be more comfortable when we kneel on the ground. We either used a shovel to dig out the weeds or our hands to rip them out. After 30 minutes or so, the lady came back and took us to a new, dry area. There were yellow flowers in pots on the hill. The lady told us to find a pot and dig a hole near it. Next, a man came with a hose to fill our holes halfway with water. Then, we took the flowers out of the pots and planted them in our hole. After that, we added dirt in our hole and added mulch around the flower to make a donut-shape. After we all got a chance to plant a flower, some of us continued planting different flowers, while others transported water and mulch to the flowers. When we finished planting, the organizer let us take a break. We returned all of our supplies and then went on a walk to the nearby stables to look at horses. Overall, this event was very relaxing and enjoyable. All of the members and I hope to come back here again to volunteer.
