HASHTAGÂ O WITH THIS EVENT, GODINEZ KEY CLUB AND OCEAN VIEW KEY CLUB WERE ABLE TO GIVE BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING LUNCH BAGS WITH ENCOURAGING MESSAGES. THANKS TO #HASHTAGLUNCHBAG, A GLOBAL MOVEMENT THAT INSPIRES OTHERS TO VOLUNTEER AND GIVE BACK, WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE MANY LUNCH BAGS THAT HOPEFULLY MOTIVATED THE PEOPLE WHO RECEIVED THEM. IT WAS A PLEASURE GETTING TO WORK WITH NOT ONLY GODINEZ, BUT WITH MANY OTHER VOLUNTEERS FROM SANTA ANA.

KITS FOR DS
MY NAME IS JAMES NGUYEN AND I WENT TO THE STEAM CREATIVITY LAB EVENT WITH MARINA KEY CLUB. I WORKED WITH OTHER CLUB MEMBERS TO ASSEMBLE KITS FOR CHILDREN TO CREATE PROJECTS WITH. MY FAVORITE PART OF THIS EVENT WAS HOW EVERYONE WAS FORCED TO WORK TOGETHER IN ORDER TO ASSEMBLE THE KITS, ALLOWING EVERYONE TO SOCIALIZE AND GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER BETTER WHILE ALSO BEING PRODUCTIVE. THE EVENT COORDINATORS PLANNED AND EXECUTED THE EVENT SMOOTHLY MOSTLY. AS FOR AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT, ADDITIONAL WORKSPACE BETWEEN STATIONS COULD HELP MAKE THE WALKWAYS LESS CROWDED AND ALLOW OTHERS TO WORK MORE EFFICIENTLY. AT THE EVENT, I LEARNED THE IMPORTANCE OF CONSISTENCY AND TO ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING. BECAUSE OF HOW FUN THE EVENT WAS, I WOULD ATTEND THIS EVENT AGAIN.
-JAMES NGUYEN, MARINA
