oodlands Farm annual Fun Christmas Jumping Show is always so enjoyable, both for those taking part and for the friends and family who come along to give support. An added bonus for everyone this year was that the day was warm and mostly dry. Everyone brings along a plate of food for the buffet and Phil Wyatt who runs Woodlands organises the hot drinks. The classes are competitive, but the competitors are supportive of each other and there is no pressure on those taking part. It is ideal for riders who don’t normally compete or for those with young horses, or those just wanting to have some fun. Woodlands Farm is located in Slindon, near Fontwell Racecourse and has great facilities and a friendly atmosphere and is just a short road hack to the South Downs, where there is an extensive bridlepath network maintained by the National Trust.
