ased near Edenbridge in Kent, Lockskinners Cross Country is perfect for all ages and abilities. The course is set in 160 acres of beautiful Kentish countryside, and includes, woods, undulating fields and water complexes.

Built by Graham Payne of Sussex Courses, who was part of the 2012 Olympic XC course building team, the fences range from 40cm to 1 m in height. Feature fences include the Owl Hole into/out of a wood, the Hanging Log into water, and one of their favourites, the Pimple.

There is also an enclosed obstacle pen with 24 fences ranging in height up to 40cm. It is fenced off from the rest of the course encouraging confidence for lead rein, first timers and young horses.

Jenny Sewell said: “Lockskinners is family friendly with a focus on the development of both horse and rider as they progress from jumping individual fences to riding a course. Throughout the season we hold competition training days which give both horse and rider the opportunity to ride a set numbered course but without the stress of competing, they are relaxed days designed purely for confidence and practice. These days will be advertised on our website and Facebook page.
