fantastic weekend was had by all at Brendon Stud in Pyecombe for their annual Children In Need weekend show which included fun pony classes, arena eventing and showjumping. Over 200 riders attended the show with fantastic costumes including Pudsey, Superwoman, Batman, Superman and a whole host of other superheroes. Pudsey popped in on Sunday to assist the judges, Catwoman and Batman, in presenting the rosettes, also proving a big hit with the younger generation. From donations received from entries, face painting, lucky dips, cakes, sponsorship and the table top sale the show raised a whopping total of over £2,000 for Children In Need. Classes were extremely well supported on both days with lots of winners. On Saturday, the older riders turned out in fancy dress to support the cause, with spots and costumes galore in every class, including two of our loyal supporters Team Nuth – Ruth Corbett and Nikki Swannack who were adorned in spots, and Superwoman Ruby Light with Superman pony Pepper who won her section in the Arena Eventing Classes. Sunday’s competition proved very entertaining and the eventual Champion of the day was Matilda Burnett and her superhero pony, Lucy Lou. The dog agility also provided much laughter and was won by Tabitha Baldwin Watt and her super fast little pug, Pickle. Thank you to everyone that supported this weekend, you have helped us to raise over £12,000 since we ran the first Children In Need Show eight years ago. See you all again next year.
