emma Tattersall added just a handful of time penalties to a brilliant dressage mark to claim the SeeS Ltd CIC** on her consistent sevenyear-old, Santiago bay. Gemma has been competing the talented mare for the past two seasons and she has quickly moved up the grades, rarely being out of the placings. Swedish rider Hedvig Wik and Chippieh started their day at the top of the dressage scoreboard, but a slower time across country saw them slip into second position behind Gemma. Pippa Funnell and the very promising billy Congo sired billy Cuckoo finished in third place. emily baldwin was delighted to head the Savills CIC* with her own seven-yearold Uppercourt Cooley. Known for her precision in the dressage arena and speed across country, emily was leaving nothing to chance when she posted the only sub 40 dressage score in the CIC* and was the third quickest across country. Rosanagh, competing in just their fourth event together, slotted into second place, with Sophie Jenman and Zoook in third. Lucy Chrichton won the Equine Aqua Training Centre BE100 u18 section on the eight-year-old Cloverhill Rebel. A horse she has produced herself this season with improving results throughout. It was a competitive section with Ava Rietdyk and Moon Artist finishing just 0.1 of a penalty behind in second place. The combination completed Larkhill BE90 at the end of last season before coming out this year at BE100. They finished fifteenth in their first Novice at West Wilts in mid-September. In third place and just 0.2 penalties behind Ava was Grace Bartholomew with Fairground Fergal of Ballinasloe. The South of England autumn event always attracts a field of top international riders and it was good to see Kevin McNab, Laura Collett and Tom Jackson heading a number of the sections. There were also a number of young combinations, including Tomas Cousillas and his six-yearold consistent gelding, Cundlegren Darius, who headed the Rupert Burgoyne Insurance BE100 section C. Chloe Mariani had her first win with Sans Soucis Du Lys in the R &R Stevenson ONu18 section G. The top three in this section were all within one mark, with Archie Lowe and Merrywell Cavalier, just 0.1 penalties behind Chloe and Olivia Bartlett and Early Spring, just 0.5 penalties behind Archie in third.
