It’s been several years since we left Bert ha and Arles dancing at t he end of A Tuna Christmas, the second installment of the Tuna quadrilogy. Did the romance blossom? Has Didi Snavely received any “cosmic” communications from R.R.’s UFO? Did Stanley make his fortune in t he taxidermy business? These and ot her burning questions will be asked and answered in Red, White and Tuna, an affectionate and oftentimes satirical comment on small-town Sout hern life and attitudes. We laugh at t he hijinks and shortsightedness of rural politics, and we decry t he smallmindedness of some of Tuna’s inhabitants, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t at least think “big picture.” Many colorful Tuna denizens some you will recognize from Greater Tuna and some appearing here for t he first time are going to make your sides split with laughter. There are two aging hippies, Fern and Bernice, parading as Star and Amber, who make fun of our ability to transform and accept personal responsibility, accountability and possibility (EST – Erhard Seminars Training), but t his is exactly what unfolds in t his episode of Tuna. Yes, folks, t here is a lesson h e re . Ta ke re sp

Welcome to t he “Shakespeare Garden” in The Little Theatre of Alexandria Courtyard! This beautiful garden was made possible with donations from LTA members and supporters who purchased bricks during the LTA Council’s fund-raising campaign February-April of 2017. We have planted floral species t hat figured prominently in t he Bard’s writings We invite you to check out our courtyard during intermission and see how many you can identify!
The Council of The Little Theatre of Alexandria, organized in 1961, is a dedicated group of about 80 members t hat supports t he t heatre wit h special contributions While our “Shakespeare Garden” is our most massive accomplishment so far, our past contributions included: scholarships for high school students, a new range, draperies and ice maker for t he Council Green Room, folding chairs and tables t hroughout t he t heatre, brass plates for sponsored t heatre seats, a computerized box office system, several grand drapes over t he years, and many varied technical enhancements, including exterior defibrillators (AEDs) for safety. Contributions to LTA from t he Council have exceeded $215,000 The Council conducts t hree business/social meetings per year, and decorates t he t heatre for t he winter holidays We are pleased to be a part of t he Alexandria artistic community and proud to support one of t he best community t heatres in America today!
