he venue has been extensively developed into a world class sailing venue with highly versatile facilities.
Internal Facilities include:
External Facilities include
• “Spinnakers” Function Room with a fully licensed bar and catering facilities for up to 170 people. There is also a substantial balcony giving great views of all the activity on site and over Portland Harbour.
• 2 dinghy slipways (220m width in total) accessible at all states of the tide
• Event hall with a licensed bar and catering facilities and a capacity of up to 350 seated people. The hall can be used for exhibitions or sporting events and the room can be dressed in wall lining, up lighters, a stage and music system for a more formal affair.
• 125 pontoon spaces for event mooring with personal hoists for disabled access to boats • 1 deep water vehicle launching slipway • Rigging area for windsurfers • 2 fixed cranes for boats up to 2.5 tonnes
• Boardroom with sea views for up to 15 people
• Fully submersible boat hoist for boats up to 16 tonnes/4.5m beam
• 4 Small Lecture/Meeting rooms for up to 20 people
• Storage for members for dinghies, keelboats and powerboats
• 3 Large Lecture/Meeting rooms for up to 70 people
• Short and long term storage and winterisation for yachts and powerboats
• Large cafe and bar open every day serving hot and cold food and drinks
• Parking areas for approximately 300 vehicles
• Ample toilets, showers/changing rooms and a drying room
• Overnight parking for campervans/caravans available for those using the WPNSA facilities
• Full disabled access is provided including lifts at both ends of the building, disabled changing/shower rooms and a ramp into the dinghy park
• Electronically-controlled access gates and extensive CCTV system in operation
during events
• Space for corporate entertaining, media centre, marquees etc. • All facilities are fully accessible
