Stellantis trabajará con Archer para enfrentar las instalaciones de fabricación recientemente anunciadas por Archer en Covington, Georgia, en la que ambas empresas planean comenzar a fabricar el avión de despegue vertical en el 2024.

El Midnight – como fue bautizado - está diseñado para ser seguro, sostenible, tranquilo, con su carga útil esperada de más de 1.000 libras (455 Kgs.) pudiendo transportar cuatro pasajeros más el piloto.

Con una autonomía de 100 millas, la aeronave está optimizada para viajes de distancia a corto plazo de alrededor de 20 millas, con un tiempo de carga de aproximadamente de 10 minutos en el medio. Esta asociación única en la industria de la movilidad aérea urbana aprovechará las respectivas fortalezas y competencias de cada compañía para llevar el avión al mercado.

Archer trae su equipo de clase mundial y expertos en certificación, mientras que Stellantis contribuirá con tecnología de fabricación avanzada y experiencia, personal altamente calificado y capital para la asociación.

Esta combinación está destinada a permitir que la ampliación rápida de la producción de aeronaves cumpla con los planes de comercialización de Archer, al tiempo que le permite fortalecer su camino hacia la comercialización al ayudarlo a evitar cientos de millones de dólares en gastos durante la fase de aumento de la fabricación.

El objetivo es que Stellantis produzca en masa el avión Evtol de Archer como su fabricante de contrato exclusivo.

Stellantis will work with Archer to tackle Archer’s recently announced manufacturing facility in Covington, Georgia, where companies plan to begin manufacturing the aircraft in 2024.

The Midnight is designed to be safe, sustainable, and quiet, with its expected payload of over 1,000 pounds (455 Kg.) being able to carry four passengers plus a pilot.

With a range of 100 miles, the aircraft is optimized for shortterm distance travel of around 20 miles, with a loading time of about 10 minutes in between.

This unique partnership in the urban air mobility industry will leverage the respective strengths and competencies of each company to bring the aircraft to market.

Archer brings its world-class team and certification experts, while Stellantis will contribute advanced manufacturing technology and expertise, experienced staff, and capital to the partnership.

This combination is intended to enable rapid expansion of aircraft production to meet Archer’s marketing plans while allowing him to strengthen his path to commercialization by helping him avoid hundreds of millions of dollars in expenses during the manufacturing growth phase.

The goal is for Stellantis to mass-produce Archer’s Evtol aircraft as its exclusive contract manufacturer.
