MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWS
Astronaut Challenge The Student Astronaut Challenge Middle School team once again qualified for the finals at Kennedy Space Center in February. They will be joined by the Maclay Upper School team this year as well. The team practices with learning the practical application of science, technology, engineering, and math with Ms. Barton, including working on the space shuttle simulators.
Spelling Bee Congratulations to the Middle School Spelling Bee winner, HawaLarai Harruna, who will represent Maclay School in the District Bee in January.
Junior Beta Maclay Junior Beta welcomed new members and officers at an induction ceremony in November. The Jr. Beta Club not only provides leadership opportunities but also performs service projects throughout the year, such as shopping for gifts for the Guardian Ad Litem.
