Whatever you call your best mate, it’s now time to renew their registration. Pet registration helps council officers reunite lost pets with their owners. On the 12th of September, we will enjoy hosting the Senior Citizens group who are coming for a fun morning playing on our lawns. A couple of days later, on the 16th, our regular monthly visitors from Caloundra will come up the mountain and enjoy having a game with us again. These events when we host visitors are always a very happy time, meeting up with old friends, making new friends and enjoying a fun (and often quite competitive!) game together. Of course, there is always a cuppa and some morning tea to be enjoyed also. In addition, one of our biggest events of the year is being arranged for the 22nd of September … our Friendship Day. This is always a full day, enjoyed by many who come from near and far. Throughout the day, we rotate through a range of short games – golf, ricochet and association croquet, as well as some novelty games. Of course a delicious morning and afternoon tea are provided, while participants bring their own lunch. So much to look forward to. Great times are ahead for our club.

https://issuu.com/Maleny-Grapevine-Community-News

We are pleased to welcome the start of Spring which brings the hope that with our new and improved water supply and the warmer weather our lawns will flourish under the tender care of Wallace Roy who has been dealing with some uneven patches and invasive grasses which have appeared during the winter. We extend our thanks to Wallace for the time he puts into keeping our lawns in a great state to play on. Our recent play afternoons have seen some exciting and enjoyable match ups. Thursday 1st September saw a very even match when Sarah Widin and Sally Adams teamed up to play Lynette Evans. What a close match it was, ending in a 9 all draw. Meanwhile, Nick Cram played a great game against Dianne Horsman. Although Dianne played vey well, scoring 15 hoops, she was no match for Nick in the long run, who played a very good game, finishing with a score of 22 hoops. What an exciting and entertaining game! Sunday afternoon 4th September saw four players arrive for a game of doubles. This time, Dianne and Lynette paired up to play Helen Andrews and Stuart Craig. Dianne and Lynette came out winners, with a score of 15 hoops to 5. Our club is looking forward to several events in September. On Friday 9th, we will be setting up half lawns at the Maleny Fair being held at the Primary School. We are looking forward to giving children and adults alike a taste of our fun and entertaining game so make sure you pop along, say hello and give croquet a crack!

Play days: Thursday and Sunday 1.00 pm for 1.30. Contact Sarah Widin for other days. Please arrive at 1 pm for games to be arranged by Coaching1.15.: is available on Saturday mornings at 8 am. Our web address https://rangecroquetatmaleny.org.auis:
