SHIP REPORT
Make a Wish Disney Cruise Line has commissioned Meyer Werft with the construction of three new ships. The first, Disney Wish, will be the first Triton-class vessel in the Disney fleet to feature an eco-friendly LNG drive system. The two other vessels will be delivered in 2024 and 2025.
M
eyer Werft already constructed two cruise ships for the American shipping company back in 2010 and 2011: Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. They became the largest ocean liners ever built in Germany at the time of their completion. And the three vessels in the Triton Class will be even bigger. Disney Wish will showcase the immersive family entertainment, enchanting storytelling and unparalleled service that
only Disney can deliver. Disney Wish guests will be able to enjoly all-new enchantment on board, where fantastical worlds and beloved stories from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar are brought to life like never before. Disney Wish was originally scheduled to sail on her maiden voyage on 9 June 2022, but the ship’s delivery has been pushed back as a result of shipyard delays. The ship is now scheduled to debut on 14 July 2022.
