Previous Best of BCS winner, Girls Just Want to Have Fun 5k took back their first place title from GLOW 5k who won last year. This race is one for the ladies. Designed to honor the women of BCS, this race has been successful for the last 4 years. Entries can be in the form of individual runners or mother/daughter teams. Apparent by the title of the race, this is a fun run, so jogging strollers and well-behaved dogs on leashes are permitted. What could be more fun than that?

There are a variety of options for races longer than 5k, but it takes more than a few orange cones and a water jug to pull off a successful race for thousands of people. Voted Best Local Race, it’s clear that BSC Marathon is a hit among the locals. It may seem like all fun and games for those enjoying the run, but this particular race is also a large fundraiser for a number of charities. BCS Marathon hosts multiple races throughout the year including marathons and half marathons, as they are also responsible for the Turkey Trot 5K and the Girls Just Want to Have Fun 5K.

Even if you’re just observing, karaoke at the Tap will be your favorite part about Mondays.
A Northgate staple since 2013 and now second time BCS winner, Blackwater Draw has been a leader of the craft beer scene in College Station. Their website boasts that their home-brewed beer is “as cultured as the grain that makes them,” and it appears the locals wholeheartedly agree. Blackwater Draw serves a onetime-only flavor every Saturday and offers a variety of craft beer on tap that will satisfy the thirst of even the most critical beer drinkers.
