It was the best of times , it was the worst of times , it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us .•• Charles Dickens

As much confusion as a bunch of balloons. That's the way the Student Life seems at WHS, but everybody knows what they're doing - wonder what Dave's been doing?

Students come in all shapes and sizes , and as varied as the students are their activities and the way they get along together - as you can well see !

Basketball This year the Spartan Varsity Basketball team wound up a fantastic season with a 12-6 record. The Mason Comets fizzled under the pressure of the Spartan offense for the first time in five years. One of the outstanding Spartan players, Jim Goode, found the basket for 37 straight free throws, coming within 9 of the state record, closing out the season with an 18 point per game average . More than once Mike Compton saved the Spartan victory with a basket in the closing seconds of the game.
