The Waynesville Spartans ended their season with a 64 record; yet, they did not live up to the1r expectations. The Spartans had a big first game win over Blanchester, but this didn't last long. The next week the Spartans fell down the ladder with a second half victory for Little Miami. The Spartans cont1nued to drop with a loss to Kmgs . Eager to put another win in the record books, the Spartans came back to upset Southeastern. Even though this victory did bring high hopes for the Spartans, they quickly plunged by losing two straight games to Cedarville and Mason . At this time the Spartans regrouped and set a few new goals; mainly, to win the last four games of the season. The Spartans wasted no time in starting to achieve these goals w1th an impressive Homecoming victory over the Clinton Massie Falcons. The Spartans easily went to accomplish this goal with crushing wins over Greeneview, East Clinton , and Yellow Springs . All in all the Spartans did not have that bad of a season . They finished with a 6-4 record and earned second place in the KTC for the second year m a row.

Our own Spartan Golfer, April Drake, made an impressive shot at the State Golf Championship on a fall Saturday morning in Columbus, Ohio. The finals were played on the famous OSU Scarlet and Gray Course. April finished fourth in the STATE which was just seven strokes away from the No. 1 spot. The climax of April's day came to her on the No. 4 Par 5 hole. Apnl netted a birdie! Th1s SENIOR golfer was well prepared for the tourney as she competed all year long against the guys while playing on the Spartan team . April hopes to earn a golf scholarship and has had con tacts with schools such as Purdue, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

The S.A.D.D. Chapter spent the year trying to prove to the student body that it is not just someone else who gets hurt by drinking and drivmg . The club had qUite a busy year between crashing cars outside and killing classmates ins1de. This was the first year that the S.A.D.D . Chapter really got involved in the Prom Promise Campaign. The student body was encouraged to participate in the many act1vit1es. Outside there was a mock car crash in which April Drake was killed while riding with her boyfriend, Tim Butterbaugh. He had had a little too much to drink at a party. He drove into Shelley Smith head on, and she was seriously mjured. "Grim Reaper Day" was another big event. Every 24 minutes a student was killed and remained dead until the end of the day. A M.A.D.D . speaker spoke to kick off the campaign, and to send S.A.D .D.'s message. Vanous other projects were sponsored such as B.Y.O.B. Day, University Day, and Red Ribbon Day. Prom Promise 1992 was a big success as 82 percent signed up to ab1de by the Promise.
