SEDGEFIELD WOMAN'S CLUB CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISER
Benefitting the Salvation Army, the Sedgefield Angel Tree Helpers was formed in 2016 so that every child with a name tag on the Angel Tree at Sedgefield would be able to have Christmas. That first year they raised $11,000 serving nearly 70 children. Each year, the fundraising culminates at a golf tournament - The Angel Tree Open - giving supporters a chance to come together and celebrate the season and their efforts. The initiative has grown immensely each year since inception and in 2021, funds raised totaled over $68,000, bringing the grand total since 2016 to $235,000!
Annually the Sedgefield Woman's Club hosts a Christmas Fundraising luncheon with a silent and live auction - their largest fundraising effort of the year. Supported by many local businesses and individuals alike, the 2021 event raised over $31,000, benefitting local schools and children's charities.
