You see, Victorian parlour games never electrocuted the losers! Cruel, certainly, but why Extreme? Well, with the original Lightning Reaction, only the slowest player got Zapped. In Lightning Reaction Reloaded, only the fastest player avoids getting a shock. Muuhahahah! For the less cruel of you though, there is a switch which allows you to go back to single-zap mode.
