Reflexionen Meine Sommerkollektion 2011

Es ist das Doppeldeutige, das buchstäblich Zwielichtige, das mir an dem Wort gefällt – Reflexionen. Lichtbrechung und Denken, beides ist darin verborgen. Und in meiner neuen Kollektion.

Das Nachdenken über Purheit in der Mode. In Farbe, Schnitt und Stoff. Als wenn sich alles Weitschweifig Erzählerische aufgelöst hätte, eingebunden in lyrische Rhythmen und Metrik und doch – oder gerade deshalb? – so frei schwebend.

Als wenn sich alles Überflüssige verflüchtigt hätte, um erst recht Überfluss zu schaffen an Stimmung, Emotion, Ausdruck.

Die Farben – ein hartes Weiß, ein hartes Schwarz. Licht und Schatten.

Reflexartig vermittelt ein lichtgebrochenes Grau, ein Dunstgrau mit dem bläulichen Stich hochsommerlicher Himmelsfärbung.

Es sind Farben einer femininen Urbanität. Geprägt von einer modernen, selbstbewussten Leichtigkeit. Duftig-sommerlich mit hellgrauen Streifen im Weiß. Sinnlich-elegant mit dunkelgrauen Streifen im Schwarz.

Auch die Materialien selbst folgen dem Willen zur Konzentration – Baumwollpopeline und Jersey, luxuriös eingerahmt von Waschseide .

Mehr hätte die Purheit dieser Kollektion nicht zugelassen. Die ganz auf die ausgesucht hochwertigen Stoffe vertraut. Und so drängt sich auch mein Prinzip des Wandelbaren nicht auf. Fügt sich unauffällig in die Gesamtaussage ein – hier ein Umknöpfen, da ein Hoch- oder Abknöpfen und Wenden. Ein zusätzlicher Gürtel, ein Stoffband.

Eine Kollektion reflektiert sich selbst. Unaufdringlich, schlicht. Um nicht sich, sondern Ihre Persönlichkeit widerzuspiegeln.

Reflections My Summer Collection 2011

It’s the double-meaning, the literal two-sidedness of it, that I like so much about the word “reflections”. Bound up in it are both refractivity and musings. And so it is in my new collection.

Musings on purity in fashion. In the colour, cut and fabric. As if all long-winded narrative had melted away, wrapped up in lyrical rhythms and metre, and yet – or perhaps therefore – hovering, free.

As if all things superfluous had evaporated into thin air, leaving behind a profusion of ambiances, emotions, expression.

The colours: steely white and steely black. Light and shade.

Refracted grey, a smoky grey shot through with blue, reflecting the hue of a midsummer sky.

These are the colours of urban femininity, with its characteristically modern, confident airiness. Light grey stripes on white for summer haze; dark grey stripes on black for sensual elegance.

The materials themselves – cotton poplin and jersey, luxuriously trimmed with washed silk – bow to the same will for concentration.

The purity of this collection would not allow for more. All is in the deliberately costly fabrics – which makes my principle of permanent transformability less obtrusive. It blends discreetly into the overall statement: button up, down, turn around, or inside out; here an extra belt, there a fabric sash.

A collection which reflects on itself, inconspicuously, simply. So that it mirrors not itself, but your personality.
